. . . Still waiting for their dc's sats results?

I'm getting so blooming anxious about them as they are going to have a huge effect on what support dd is going to get in high school - I've asked twice this week and they just keep saying, they don't know when we'll get them!!

I may be wrong but I'm reasonably sure they all come out at the same time. Ours came into school a couple of days ago and reports were given out yesterday. If you don't get them today I would ask otherwise you'll have a weekend of not knowing! Hope you get the results you're expecting Smile

NormanTheForeman · 13/07/2012 10:00

Yes, but I think we will get ours on Monday.

littlelegsmum · 13/07/2012 10:10

I hope it's today too!! This weekend will go soooo slow otherwise :)

We've not had ours either. Some schools separate the sats results from the report, but ours gives us sats divided into sublevels, meaning that the teachers have to put in a bit more work. I am expecting it today, though because they have had the numbers since Tuesday.

littlelegsmum · 13/07/2012 11:02

I think that's why I'm thinking we should of had them by now. I knew (from here) that they've had them since they came out but they are now blaming Ofsted visit 3 weeks ago!

Not got them either, although reports came out last week. Hope it's going to be today because as someone said earlier it's a weekend of waiting which ISN'T BLOODY FAIR IF THE RESULTS ARE SAT IN SCHOOL!

DeWe · 13/07/2012 11:56

Apparently ours came out to the school earlier in the week, but there's a query, and they won't release any until the query is sorted.

Babysamrocks · 13/07/2012 12:49

The results were sent to schools earlier this week. My Ds will be told his results sometime today and then they're sent home tonight along with school report.

littlelegsmum · 13/07/2012 12:56

A query? Maybe they don't agree with them.

I will (as many other parents) be miffed if dd doesn't have them with her later. It doesn't give us a lot of time to query things. We've not had school reports either!!

BloooCowWonders · 13/07/2012 13:28

We've just been emailed to say they'll be out today.

Good luck with yours!

choccyp1g · 13/07/2012 14:28

Still no sign of ours, but we had reports with Teacher Assessment (TA's) weeks ago, which probably mean more to us, as nearly all the children go to one secondary, which does take notice of the TAs.

littlelegsmum · 13/07/2012 14:47

I've just collected my dd from school (she's ill apparently)!

I asked about reports and results when we were on our way out and was told they're being frantically copied today but copier keeps over heating. I said would I get them for Monday, she said she didn't know. Luckily for me dd interrupted, as always, to tell me the children were being told this afternoon!! I saw red and said I expected them to be telephoned to me before the end of school day as I needed them for a meeting with secondary school.

So, they're either worse than they thought or they're being awkward.

Ps there is a long back story!

That sounds awful littlelegs. My DD got hers on either Tuesday or Wednesday. No idea when she'll get her report.
According to her school, this years results were the best ever. Same as last years and the one before.

choccyp1g · 13/07/2012 15:01

Littlelegs, why do they have to copy them? Surely every child gets a different result?

nappydaysagain · 13/07/2012 15:53

We got our reports yesterday which contained the teacher assessment scores. My DS said they'd be getting their actual results today but they didn't Confused.

annh · 13/07/2012 16:15

Ours arrived at school on Tuesday, I believe that was the national "results" day so I don't understand any school saying they have not had them. They were given to the children on Wed. We had a Governors Curriculum meeting that evening and the school had already done enough work on the results to be able to tell us how many children had met their predicted targets, the split in results between boys and girls etc so although I'm sure some teachers were up late on Tues in order to get this information, there is no reason why the results should not be available to the children by now?

simbo · 13/07/2012 18:50

We got our report and sats results, together with teacher assessments today. Had to tear open the envelope in the car, while ds sat nonchalantly waving at his friend. All 5s, all good.

BooksandBrunch · 13/07/2012 19:07

Oh gheez, my ds's school, I'm convinced, is the most diabolical school on earth and earth which is why I can't wait to be shot of them tbh, and even we got ours on Wednesday, teacher assessment and all. Probably because the only decent teacher they have is the one who was responsible for sorting it and likely too, because they know that I am Mrs Nutty Mother herself who would probably be camping outside the headmistresses door, had I not received it by now.

They all get shipped out at the same time. The info is there, in the building, somewhere.

The results arrived in school late Tuesday evening. Wednesday was sports day, so we started looking at them at 4.15 on Wednesday. Each one has to be matched to the child's KS1 result and progress calculated. 6 of my class scored 77 in Maths - 1 mark away from a Level 5 - so the Deputy Head and I went through all 18 papers (3 each) with a tooth comb, looking for a missed mark or incorrectly marked question.

We left at 6.30 to go to the Borough Orchestra concert and support our players.

Thursday was Dress rehearsal for Year 6 production, so I was in at 7am making rat ears (don't ask) and then we had Parents' Evening after school until 7.45.

Today I spent my lunch time searching for a mark for one of my class who missed a level 4 in Reading by 1. And this evening I am at Parents Evening again... I hope to type all the confirmed results onto my reports tomorrow for photocopying on Monday, but I have to go to Waterstones and buy the Leavers' Books first...

We know you want them. We want you to have them. But we have to check they're correct AND THE END OF THE SUMMER TERM IS INSANELY BUSY. OK, rant over, last parent gone, I'm going to the pub.

Naze · 13/07/2012 20:40

My son got a Level 6 in Mathematics and a Level 5 in all other subjects. He could have done better.

bizzey · 13/07/2012 21:56

kingscotstaff...Good for you for standing up for true hard working teachers !!!......Enjoy your time at the pub Grin

teacherwith2kids · 13/07/2012 22:01

Naze ... you seem a little.... obsessive single-topic in your posts this evening. Are you OK?

BooksandBrunch · 14/07/2012 21:27

@naze - Your post is tongue in cheek, right?

KitKatGirl1 · 14/07/2012 21:56

No it's not. My mistake too.
