. . . Still waiting for their dc's sats results?

I'm getting so blooming anxious about them as they are going to have a huge effect on what support dd is going to get in high school - I've asked twice this week and they just keep saying, they don't know when we'll get them!!

@Kingscotestaff - I hear you. I still however have to stand up for the hard working parents who, like myself, actually give a damn. There are parents I suspect, like me, who have spent a ton of money and time (through already challenging times), to contribute to their dc's sats results. Over the holidays the dc in my ds's school were sent home with a book from Smiths and told to revise. That is an alien concept for many. There are many too,who are happy to leave every aspect of their dc's education to the school, who wouldn't be the slightest bit bothered as to when they received their results and like you, probably think we need to take a bit of a chill pill.

In my case, I gave my ds a paper a day and had to research and purchase extra resources for the level 6 extension exam. In his school, they were given one lesson. It is proven that parental support in education accelerates a child's learning tenfold, and so I suspect, those that do support are just a tad more bothered and anxious than other. I have read posts on here, where parents have had to work extra hard with their dc's who are dyslexic for example, so seeing that level 4, as opposed to the expected 3, was like winning the lottery. We got our results on Wednesday. The sports day was last week. I'm assuming it was arranged for that time as they knew the results were due out this week and parents would be anxious to know their results.

With that in mind, surely you can appreciate, why parents are jumping up and down.
