Anyone in Surrey waiting to hear about school placements?

I understand that we will be able to log on to Surrey County Council website from 3pm today to find out which school we have been allocated. I'm hopeful for DD to get our first choice school as she has two siblings there already but until I see it confirmed I feel a little anxious. Anyone else?

Me too! Not v worried as should have sibling priority, but we live in Hants and the school's in Surrey so think we'll be waiting for a letter rather than logging on - have waited this long though so am sure another day won't matterAngry

dickcheeseandthecrackers · 11/04/2011 11:28

It's like the slowest day ever!

Carameli · 11/04/2011 11:46

yes me, seems like ages away!!! I have been digging the garden, wedding, planting, hoovering , cleaning like mad, playing football with the boys anything to stop thinking about it.
Hope we all get our 1st choices :)

Carameli · 11/04/2011 11:48

just read your message Wools, I know how you feel, even with a sibling I am still really nervous :)

MiraNova · 11/04/2011 11:53

Waiting too - we should be ok, based on previous years' intake, but you never know, and I am a bit nervous just in case. Is it a high birth year does anyone know?

Carameli · 11/04/2011 11:59

I never seem to know these things so have no idea :)

Carameli · 11/04/2011 12:02

I am waiting for St Joseph's Epsom who are others waiting for if you don't mind saying here?

Rosenotinyorkshire · 11/04/2011 12:33

Horrible waiting. Im in Reigate where there is never enough primary school places. Gulp. Have tried not to listen to the various rumous going round about how many siblings etc. It is nail bitingly tense. Bet we wont be able to log on at 3pm because of the sheer numbers Hmm

HairyMaclary · 11/04/2011 12:43

Caramel, you must live close to us! For v complicated reasons we have applied to an out of area school which we will probably get but things have changed and I will need to put ds2 on the local waiting lists. It's never simple!

LondonSuperTrooper · 11/04/2011 12:45

Yes I'm also waiting to hear which school my DS will going on to.

I'm pretty confident that I will be getting my first choice.... however I will be going onto the waiting list as I want either my second or even third choice school!

Carameli · 11/04/2011 12:47

Ashtead, where are you HairyMaclary ?

HairyMaclary · 11/04/2011 12:47

Ewell

LondonSuperTrooper · 11/04/2011 12:52

Carameli, I'm just round the corner from you...... I'm in Bookham!

Carameli · 11/04/2011 12:53

we are all very close, wow.

dickcheeseandthecrackers · 11/04/2011 13:00

I'm waiting for weybridge schools, uber competitive here too. Today is dragging along!

LondonSuperTrooper · 11/04/2011 13:09

I know I feel the same... roll on 3pm!

I should also be recieveing a text as I signed up for the mobile thingy.

Carameli · 11/04/2011 13:09

no-one else brave enough to say what they are hoping for? Do you think it will jinx the outcome :)

LondonSuperTrooper · 11/04/2011 13:15

Not at all Carmeli.

My first choice is Polesden Lacey Infant School.

Itsjustafleshwound · 11/04/2011 13:21

Carameli - we are in the same area - I am waiting to hear about St Martin's for DS (I hope!!!)

There are some real horrible rumours and scaremongering around ...

Carameli · 11/04/2011 13:26

ignore rumours !!! ignore rumours!!!

CrispyTheCrisp · 11/04/2011 13:27

LondonSuperTrooper - i went there in the 70's, it is lovely Smile

LondonSuperTrooper · 11/04/2011 13:32

It's still a lovely lovely school.

Thinking of not accepting it though and going onto the waiting list for a 4-11 school instead......

Ashtead mums, hope you get your first choices especially with all the new housing in the area. I know quite a few people who bypassed Barnett Wood and applied to West Ashtead instead.

Rosenotinyorkshire · 11/04/2011 13:44

an hour and a half to go.Even if all is well with my dc am dreading speaking to friends as school is always so over subscribed there are certainly going to be some disappointed people. Gulp
