Is it true that most girls stop growing two years after their first period?

I didn't stop growing until I was 20 - 5 years after my period. DD is still growing at 17 - 2 years later. We both love being tall.

I stopped growing at 12 but didn’t start my periods til 13.5. Go figure...

My dd is 11 and short - I'm hoping she has a huge growth spurt before her periods start or she'll not be 5ft!

Tall is half way to beautiful!

Started at 11, think I stopped growing at 13-14. I'm 5'10" and it's bloody great. Tell your DD she might feel self conscious now but the boys catch up soon and when she's older she'll have all the advantages of being able to see at gigs, being taken more seriously at work, being able to get things off high shelves for little old ladies in Tesco, etc etc.

(As a 16 year old I also discovered I was more likely to be served in pubs than my shorter friends but you probably don't want to tell her that)
