£7.50 per 2.5 hour session to rise to £8.50 in September.

In our county, we have to fill in paperwork to justify why session prices are less than the funded amount (£8.41 per session) hence the rise to just above that to cut out some bureaucracy.

£7.50 for 2.5 hrs. South Cambs

Prufrock, I'm interested in your comment about "Whilst I don't think we get nearly enough in EYEF's". I'm also South Cambs and have been trying to fight this one. I think the CC not paying enough. Love to hear if you have got anywhere complaining.

Prufrock · 08/07/2008 22:12

Oh nothing to do with S Cambs loads - just annoys me that the govt funding for state pre-schools is so pitiful that it means we have to employ staff who have degree equivalents on little more than minimum wage, and really on fundraising (ie donations from parents) to buy equipment.

Did you see btw that S. Cambs are looking to maybe change funding from an amount per child to an amount per nursery? Taking into account factors such as voluntary/business,staff qualifications/premises rent? It's only in consultation stage at the moment, and will probably be crap as I doubt they'll allow any more money, just apportion it differently

Ours is £6.25 for a 2 and a half hour session.
It was £6.

This is in Yorkshire.

We're finding it a real struggle not to make a loss each year and also rely heavily on Fund raising.

A sad state of affairs really!

mrsflowerpot · 10/07/2008 10:26

£7.50 for 2.5 hours. Gloucestershire.

Oh, and it's £1.25 if you want to drop off early or pick up late - they are open half an hour either side of the 'official' session times (to tie in with school drop off times).

Bubbaloo · 10/07/2008 19:37

£9.50 for 2.5 hours and we're in Essex.

EveAndTheApple · 10/07/2008 19:48
