What is your "Every Day Carry" or EDC?

For me

• Android phone, I have an In Case Of Emergency app with all medical info about me, and contact info for people I'd want emergency services to notify. That one specific app can be accessed without having to unlock the phone

• Glock 19 and spare mag

• Leatherman Wave

• Wallet with ID, credit card, and a bit of money

• Fenix TK15 flashlight

• Protein Bar

• Waterproof notebook and pen

• Lighter

• Keys (car and house)

Oh yeah yeah never go anywhere without me glock, man. I mean, why would you?

This is nice middle class British prepping. Stiff upper lip with lentil weaving. No glocks or spare mags required. Not even when the zombies come.

Mild hysteria is allowable, but gun toting frowned upon.

Sorry guys I know you can't carry in Britain so there's going to be some differences but yeah. What do you carry on a day to day basis, not necessarily in a bug out bag but just on your person?

Lots of other stuff like make-up too of course, but those are the only bits that could count for the sort of thing you mean.

(I googled that gun and it is scarily plastic looking. I have always warned my kids never to pick up anything like an abandoned toy gun in case it's not a toy - I hope that message went in since they clearly look more plastic than I realized!)

I had a play with a Glock when we were over there earlier in the year and after spending nearly 2 hours in Florida gun club and a small fortune in ammo even my DW enjoyed the 10 seconds it took to her empty the mag of an UZI on full auto, if we had longer and more money i think she would have been trigger happy with the UZI for quite a lot longer

Is there any need for the mocking like bazooka and flamethrowers? He or she said flashlight instead of torch so I assume it's an american, in which case having a gun in your daily carry wouldn't be unusual.

I'm in Britain chilled where we don't have the same rights you do. So I just have the basic bits and bobs, phone, wallet, and a Swiss army penknife as that is pretty much all you can get away with here sans a legally accepted "good reason" which means something like religious exemption (Sikhs carrying their Kiran knife) or a chef carrying a job knife to and from work. I'm jealous.

I have first aid kits at all the places I'm likely to be, a variety of discarded clothing in the car along with 20 empty crushed coke cans.

I live on a tiny island and am never further than walking distance from anywhere I need to be.

Everyone has guns but afaik it's not normal to take them to tesco unless the staff are really rude obv.

hehe DontHaveAUsername it's ok. I know you can't carry in England but I wasn't sure if that also applied in Scotland or Wales or Ireland. I'm looking at it now on Wikipedia but I'm not actually sure that I'm any further forward in understanding. It seems that 3 of the 4 countries in the Union share the same firearm legislation, Scotland has an extra ban on air guns that isn't in force in England, but Northern Ireland has a separate law entirely and power is completely devolved to them. Is that correct? Yes your knife laws seem a bit strange and rather excessive to me.

It's not considered outrageous here BertrandRussell. Your EDC or daily carry is just the list of things you keep with you all day, including what's on your person and maybe any bags you might have such as your handbag.

Kacie123 from my observations carrying is not universal, but is more common than not. However I stress that is just the observation of one person in a country of hundreds of millions of people.
