Approx an hour ago.
I took all the tablets at the same time. 1 oral and 4 vaginal while at the clinic.
So now I'm home lying down and waiting. Taking them all together apparently has a 95% success rate compared to 24 hours apart which is 97%.
I was 8 weeks according to today's scan.
I don't feel anything but scared and much more emotional then i had anticipated.
Anyone had all the tablets at once before? Not sure what to expect really.

I’ve had both a surgical and a medical abortion. Let me know if you have any questions about either. Also just to let you know that my friend had a medical one 2 years ago and she took all the tablets at once too (she did it through BPAS). She didn’t actually pass the pregnancy for 4 days even though she was told it should definitely happen within the first 24 hours. She just had bleeding until then and then it picked up pace and got really heavy on the 3rd/4th day.
Fingers crossed this happens to you soon as I know what a worrying time it is x

Thinks for your kind words.
Im still the same. Now 8 days since the medical and nothing has happened.
I feel slightly less sick today but that's either because the heart has stopped beating or im just past that bit of the pregnancy according to Marie Stopes Confused.
Anyway they have fitted me into an emergency appt for tomorrow ( but its literally 3 hours away by public transport) for me to discuss and be scanned again!!
This is so frustrating. But its procedure apparently.
They will then book me the survival which I wish to god i had had in the first place.
However i am terrified.
They won't let me have a general the nurse said. Only sedation???
Im so scared ill see and hear Sad

Stop googling. You will find the worst of the worst situations and stories on there.

Good luck tomorrow. You will find a strength you didn't know you had.

Thanks

Apparently a lot of abortion horror stories online are written by anti abortion people to try and scare women into not going ahead with it. When I had both of my abortions I read all the stories and got myself into such a state. Neither of them physically felt any worse than a reasonably heavy crampy period. Hope you’re ok today x

Hope you are ok OP! Flowers
I had a failed medical over two years ago now. It was horrible and I still wish I had just gone for the surgical right from the start. Mine was a same day too. The first procedure failed and I couldn’t afford to go private again. My local hospital (NHS) don’t even offer the same day option because of the reduced success rate. Wish I’d known more back then. I ended up with a second medical (48 or 72 hrs between the first and second set of pills, can’t remember which!) and it still took two full days of the second type of pills every 4 hours to pass it. Horrible experience. But hey what’s done is done and I take comfort knowing if a friend ever came to me in that situation I could speak from genuine experience and give them my advice if they wanted it.
