Approx an hour ago.
I took all the tablets at the same time. 1 oral and 4 vaginal while at the clinic.
So now I'm home lying down and waiting. Taking them all together apparently has a 95% success rate compared to 24 hours apart which is 97%.
I was 8 weeks according to today's scan.
I don't feel anything but scared and much more emotional then i had anticipated.
Anyone had all the tablets at once before? Not sure what to expect really.

I had a medically termination though I had my tablets the day before going into hospital and having a pessary.

I had mild cramping/ period type pain and within a couple of hours I bled lightly. I passed a clot later on ( I was less than 6 weeks so nothing distinguishable) .

Be kind to yourself. Take some paracetamol. And stay in bed.

Mof3K · 29/04/2019 18:50

It's now been neariy 3 hours and nothing much has happened. I've literally been in bed the whole time to scared to move in case the vaginal tablets fall out. Im dying for a wee but scared to go incase they fall out.
When should i expect to bleed ?

Im so so worried this just won't work. The clinic told me taking both sets of tablet at the same time lowers the success rate by around 3% but ive convinced myself nothing is happening Sad

You can have a wee, the vaginal pills will have absorbed within about 30 minutes. They probably won't fall out but if they do i wouldn't stress too much. Call the clinic in the morning if it's not started. Xxx

Mof3K · 29/04/2019 19:54

Been for my wee and beem downstairs for a drink. Absolutely nothing is happening. No pain no bleed.
4 hours since taking tablets.

Why did you take them all at once if it lowers success rate ?

Mof3K · 29/04/2019 20:04

It lowers it by 3%. I took them all at once because my local clinic is only open 1 day a week. If i had taken the first tablet today i would have had to travel a significant distance to take the second ones. I don't drive and didn't know how well id be.
Plus take longer off work etc.

But yeah........

You can take them home with you now though. Did they not offer you that?

Mof3K · 29/04/2019 20:07

No. She said i absolutely had to take them there and then.

I have and it did work, can’t remember exactly how long it took but I think a good 5 hours before anything started happening. I had cramps for a while then started bleeding, large clot later that night and some tissue but nothing distinguishable. Enough to be confident it had worked though. I’m sure things will happen tonight, if not then call the helpline for your clinic tomorrow x

JamesonCask · 29/04/2019 20:15

Hopefully it will be over quickly

LostInAction · 29/04/2019 20:15

Yes I thought you could take them home didn’t realise some clinic do it differently
3% isn’t that much though I’m sure it will work

Justtickingboxes · 30/04/2019 13:33

How are you, OP?

Stressedmummyof4 · 30/04/2019 13:49

Op how are you feeling today x

Mof3K · 30/04/2019 15:13

Gutted.
I had no cramps or pain just some bleeding for about 2 hours from 11pm. I've not seen a single clot although i did feel a plop into the toilet around 1am but i think it was blood and gravity doing it's thing as id been lying down. I couldn't see what it was as the loo was filled with blood.
Then nothing.
No pain at all , no blood since 1am. I still feel sick and achy.
Phoned the clinic. They said they would have expected me to be bleeding and to ring back in 24 hours.
So gutted.
I just want this done.

Still nothing. Now been 29 hours.
Think it's safe to say it hasnt worked.
Had 2 hours of slight bleeding in the whole time since tablets.
Sad

I knew it hadn't worked. I still felt pregnant. I called Marie Stopes and they told me if id bled it must have worked.
I paid for a private scan last Friday morning. IT HAS NOT WORKED.
I am devastated.
Called Marie Stopes and they have said they will " try " and find me an appointment next week otherwise it's another fortnight before they can see me.
I feel constantly sick constantly cramping and am just experience constant brown discharge.
I feel devastated it hasn't worked.
I can't believed how i have just need left in this situation. I can't stop crying

Thanksoh OP

OhioOhioOhio · 05/05/2019 21:41

That sounds so sad. Do you have someone you can call?

Mof3K · 05/05/2019 21:47

Ive told a good friend but honestly what can anyone do.
I just want this over. Im so tired and sick all the time. I can't believe how much they have fobbed me off. Time is critical in this situation yet thru are just leaving me ! The nurse i spoke to Friday said they could give me the tablets again but honestly im too afraid to take them again in case it doesnt work again.
If i opt for a surgical then you're awake which sounds terrifying.

You poor thing. Can you try the BPAS instead? Don't rule out the surgical option, it's over very quickly.

Mof3K · 05/05/2019 22:28

I have read you can request to be sedated. Are you aware of anything do you know?
Im too scares to Google tbh.
I just want it over but i know im going to be waiting at least another week.

OP posts:
Dancingbea · 05/05/2019 22:32

Just to clarify, did a Marie stopes clinic not let you take the tablets home, but told you you needed to come back for a second appointment or take them all
At once?

Mof3K · 05/05/2019 22:36

They gave me two options as stated above.
Take the first tablet there, then come back in 24/48 hour's to take the second lot. That particular clinic however was closed the rest of the week so i would have had to travel over an hour and a half away to the next available clinic and i do not drive.
Or
Take both lots of tablet there in the clinic on the same day. They did not give me the option of taking them home. They assured me that process had a 95% success rate.

I single knew it wouldnt work and i was bloody right.

OP posts:
Mof3K · 06/05/2019 12:04

Still nothing has happened. Despite Marie Stopes telling me it may just " happen naturally " over the weekend.
So looks like im resigned to calling them again tommorow and trying to get another appointment.

I feel so anxious and panicky. I don't know how to carry on in this limbo for much longer.

OP posts:
Fishrabbit · 07/05/2019 08:20

How are you doing op? I'm so sorry you're going through this. Is there a bpas close to you? The last thing you need is having to wait and wait. Xx
