Ok so I'm not talking proper baby names im talking whilst still tucked away inside us and we're not sure boy or girl or even if we know... I'm 8+3 days but I'm starting to call my baby "my bean" as thats what it is supposed to resemble at the moment!
I know one girl who named her's "dot", another her "pup" just a bit of fun and wonder what other names people have been calling there "Babies to be!"

Don't really call it anything but 'baby' lol, DP however refers to it as "Baby blue", he's convinced i'm baking a future Everton player in my Woman Oven.

Fudge. It was dh's idea.

Pinkmarshmallow · 29/01/2009 17:38

My dad calls it "Blob," cos that's what it looked like on the first scan pic we showed him!

dizzyme · 29/01/2009 17:55

Mine is called Pickle

thisisyesterday · 29/01/2009 17:57

ds1 and ds2 were both just the baby. i don't really go in for squishy names iyswim!
db3 has been dubbed "big bun" by ds1 though lol

ComeWhineWithMe · 29/01/2009 17:58

DP used to call her Shroom ,because like a mushroom she was growing in the dark, but mostly we just call her the baby ,although he was caling her Mabel the other day .

ComeWhineWithMe · 29/01/2009 17:59

calling

Bumpsadaisie · 29/01/2009 18:10

I call mine "little miss madam", esp when she is giving me a good kicking!

Otherwise "she", "the baby" or even "Phoebe" which is likely to be her name eventually.

Wheelybug · 29/01/2009 18:20

dd was known as Hector. Mainly because I liked the name but knew (even had dd been a ds !) we wouldn't have called her/him that as it didn't go with our surname.

This one has never had a name - usually referred to as 'this one' or 'the baby'.

Beccabump · 29/01/2009 19:39

This one is currently bean, DD was Monkey on account of her night-time wrestling matches with my bladder

Pinkbump3 · 29/01/2009 19:43

"teeny bash" or "baby"

newmumtobe84 · 29/01/2009 19:44

Either the bump or Aoife, which we think will be her name (although we decided on it at 20 weeks and now at 31 weeks I'm not so sure - what do people think of it?

Pinkbump3 · 29/01/2009 19:47

ohh i like it does it sound like ee-fa ?

AvonBarksdale · 29/01/2009 19:54

DD was Barksdale.

Current is Omar.

You will only understand this if you watch The Wire.

hairycaterpillar · 29/01/2009 19:58

My Ds1 was "shrimpy"
(because the pictures in books of early embryos all looked like shrimps)

newmumtobe84 · 29/01/2009 20:01

Yep, its an Irish name (she's only going to have to have a pet Ghanaian name as DH is from Ghana, but they go by the day of the week she will be born on, so no choice in that one at all!). DH now loves the name Aoife and thinks of her as this, so don't feel I can say, ummm, not sure anymore - also don't really trust my own mind at the moment!!

swottybetty · 29/01/2009 20:03

peanut.

avonbarksdale - i guess we should just be glad it aint snoop, eh? i remember you from being pg before cause of your wire ref name and fact you said you were from SW london (as i was at time). you're quick off mark with no/; two

newmumtobe84 · 29/01/2009 20:06

also not only!

BabyBump2B · 29/01/2009 21:18

Ours is Bun!

Lionstar · 29/01/2009 21:22

DD was 'The Human Bean', this one rather more prosaically seems to be 'Spud'

trixymalixy · 29/01/2009 21:27

DS was Monty, this baby doesn't have a pet name yet.

heartmoonshadow · 29/01/2009 22:05

I call mine 'squid' because on one of the ultrasound pics I was given the feet are sort of pointy and the baby looks like a squid - all head and body - but rest assured the other 4 pics they gave me assure me I am having a human!

giggly · 29/01/2009 22:16

Especially for avonblacksdale, ours in BUNK

MoominMoma · 29/01/2009 22:20

Started off as the shrimp and/or bean. Now it is known as Bertrum!! Don't ask me why, my DH came up with it. I always refer to the baby as a boy so I am going to get a shock if a girl pops out!
