I really want to chew my hair, and I love the smell of anything damp, like the washing machine or a fusty old cupboard.

beansprout · 23/05/2008 12:16

McDonalds

Those Marks and Spencers mints that are all chalky - can't remember what they're called. I went through bags and bags of them.

Sharp's extra strong mints by the bagful.
Soy Sauce on Fried rice.
Oatcakes.
Anchovies.

Also spent a lot of time sniffing flash toilet cleaner.

jennylindinha · 23/05/2008 12:49

Pinkjenny - do you mean those big mint crumbles!! Oh god, I could eat bags and bags all the time before I was pregnant... They are DEE-licious.

But, they do make my teeth feel like they are full of holes and about to fall out! Had to stop buying them in the end.

Pinkjenny · 23/05/2008 12:51

Yes mint crumbles - that's it!!

kayzisexpecting · 23/05/2008 13:07

Pringles. I have just been to the shop and come back with 2 tubes of pringles.

cyteen · 23/05/2008 13:18

More than specific cravings, I am incredibly suggestible at the moment. The soy sauce on fried rice mentioned above has made me crave sweet and sour veg+fried rice so strongly that my mouth has filled up with saliva

hertsnessex · 23/05/2008 13:19

I used to love filling up the car at the etrol station..........the fumes smelt fab!!!

gem1981 · 23/05/2008 13:22

YES!!!! POT NOODLES

tudorrose · 23/05/2008 13:25

Washing up liquid bubbles, and it had to be original fairy ones only. Would eat them with a spoon! This may be why dd2 eats the bubbles in her bath now!

bohemianbint · 23/05/2008 13:27

Last time it was macaroni cheese, out of a tin...

jennylindinha · 23/05/2008 13:30

Ahh, mint crumbles - mmmmm... Could just wolf a few down now.

Ooh, I forgot about soy sauce. Had a real thing for that too, on everthing. Especially pasta.

tudorrose - washing up liquid???! Yikes. I had a friend at school who tried drinking it when she heard it would make you sick. It worked - and she got two days off school!

BoysAreLikeDogs · 23/05/2008 13:32

Petrol fumes - tick

Orange lollies and strawberry jam - usually I could be found at 2am in the kitchen swirling my tongue around the jam pot.

I am so glad that my PG days are long behind me.

tinkiszzzz · 23/05/2008 13:33

ewwwwww smash of all things and tinned peas yuk!!
i am eating lots of :- cheese and tuna

tudorrose · 23/05/2008 13:37

jenny - i didn't drink the liquid honest! I just ate the bubbles before i started washing up. Dp used to go spare, he banned me from washing up and bought a different brand but I just bought another bottle of fairy liquid and hid it!

jennylindinha · 23/05/2008 13:43

Banned from washing-up eh? I might try that one too... Glad you weren't actually drinking it tho! And I'm loving the addict-style behaviour of hiding fairy liquid round the house! I always remember Phil from Eastenders hiding miniature vodkas from in the dishwasher - like a man his size would drink miniatures...

Heffa · 23/05/2008 13:48

I've been really craving elastic bands to chew on.

Other than that, I went through a phase of eating loads of Extremely Sour Chewits, strawberry laces and very spicy pot noodle things. I did eat two whole multipacks of Skips once as well That was all I ate for the whole day - still spent the evening throwing up!

tudorrose · 23/05/2008 13:52
Grin
Poledra · 23/05/2008 13:55

I really really don't get the elastic bands thing, Heffa - bleurrgh! Am craving Diet Coke this time round - limiting myself to one can a day though. Had to stop myself irrationally yelling at dh the other day when he dared to drink one of my Cokes

JessJess3908 · 23/05/2008 15:55

Clotted cream & jam - put loads on top of a scone, lick it off, then put more on. Mmmm....
