Measuring 5 weeks but definitely 6 weeks pregnant

I had an early scan yesterday, I am definitely 6 weeks pregnant at the very least but measuring 4weeks 5 days :(
a gestational sac, and yolk sac were seen and a very tiny baby measuring 1.4mm with no HB.
I had my first bfp over 3 weeks ago so there is no way I am any less than 6 weeks. I have a history of miscarriage (8 to be exact) so it’s just a waiting game until the next scan or I start bleeding. The wait is the absolute worst part and I am struggling.
Any advice? Am I definitely out or are there similar stories that somehow worked out. I know I’m clutching here!

Hi, i had a reassurance scan yesterday, according to my dates i was 6 + 1 but apparently i am measuring 5 weeks which doesn’t seem possible to me. I was told there is a gestational sac and yolk sac but no fetal pole but when i look at my scan picture i am convinced i can see a fetal pole. It’s so confusing!

We are in a similar boat then :( it’s all so tough and confusing.
the lady yesterday said at first ‘I’m not sure if I can see a fetal pole’ and then said no she definitely couldn’t. So I’m wondering if they play it safe by saying they can’t see one just incase? What are next steps for you?

A similar thing happened to me, the sonographer very briefly said there was something that could be the fetal pole but then when i asked her she said she could only see the gestational sac and yolk sac. Yes maybe they do play it safe until they know 100%. I have another scan booked for the 24th, feels so long away!

unfortunately bad news for me too, baby hadn’t grown at all in 7 days and I’ve started bleeding today. Wishing everyone else the best of luck with upcoming scans ❤️

I didn’t have many to begin with but suddenly started getting bad morning sickness a few days ago. I think my hormones ramped up but it was just too late

Sadly I still have pregnancy symptoms. Painful boobs and nausea. It feels pretty cruel.

Hi @Lozzapoth85 I had no bleeding, MMC.
I had an early scan 3 weeks ago, I should have been 6+6 but I measured 5-6 weeks with no heartbeat. I went back 2 weeks later and the growth had stopped at 6+4 and had no heartbeat.

Bad news for me too today. No growth in 2 weeks, confirmed MMC. I am having surgery on Thursday 😢

@WillowRose1411 Thank you ❤️ Have you ever been referred to a specialist? I see you have had miscarriages before. I am now being referred to a recurring miscarriage clinic but the waiting list is sooooooooo long! I have had 2 miscarriages, 1 ectopic and now this missed miscarriage.

Yes I was referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic but it’s a bit complicated with me. My ex husband and I were trying for our 3rd child around 6 years ago. I had 6 miscarriages with him so I was referred. I also saw a very expensive private dr in London and had tests. But then we split and I didn’t follow through with my appointments or treatment as I was single.
a few years later I meet someone else, get pregnant naturally and have my son with my new husband. We were trying for another baby and have had 3 more losses. But I’m not sure I can keep going through it and just need to be thankful for my 3 children . As hard as it is to deal with I’m not sure I will be waiting for a referral again and going through treatment etc. but it’s certainly worth investigating for you and I hope you get some answers. ❤️

@WillowRose1411 I also have 2 children but with an ex, my miscarriages have all been with my new partner. Can i ask what dr you saw in London? I am so impatient so wanted to look at going down the private route but just don’t know where to start!

I have 2 children.
This was my 3rd miscarriage in a row, at the moment they are unexplained.
The first loss was at week 20, 2nd loss at 16 weeks and now this first trimester loss.

Where do you even start with the testing?
