Anyone else for November 2025 yet? Technically I'm due Halloween but highly likely to be a first half of November baby assuming everything goes well. 3+6 today and I've known since Tuesday at 3+3! Roll on double figures and feeling a bit more secure in it all.

my papp-a is 1.68 and although they said normal I stupidly googled it and saw it can be linked to placenta accreta so now i’m a nervous wreck

I had my 12 week scan today 🥰 measuring a couple of days behind at 11+5 so my due date is now 26th November ☺️ baby wouldn't stay still 🤣

This such good news, little cutie. May also join the WhatsApp group now. It’s nice being on here but very quiet x

What's papp-a? My placenta is on the front this time which with my 3 previous c sections isn't good news because I'm at risk of placenta accreta and abruption just hoping it stays away from my scar but I've got to have extra checks

xTinkerbell · 13/05/2025 07:26

@Nikkix86 something they check as part of the combined test at the 12 week scan. Under 0.4 is low I think which is where most of the research is but I stupidly googled my result yesterday and some studies apparently prove it links to placenta accreta. However, I then googled results higher than mine and google said normal so trying not to stress myself too much till 20 week scan.

Ive had 3 previous c sections too so same risks though consultant did reassure me that the risks are still small but I have awful anxiety.

My placenta was on the front with my second but high and out the way of my scar. No idea where it is this time, no one has told me. Consultant did look at my scan to see if she could see it on the back wall but couldn’t but said you often can’t in scan pictures so I don’t know.

im 14+4 today and the haemorrhoids have started already fml

Writerscompanion · 13/05/2025 13:41

@Nikkix86i had my scan last Thursday and was almost the same experience, very wriggly little one so I’ve got to go back this week just to double check but he thinks everything is ok. I was measuring 11+3 (now 12+1) so it has caught up from my early scan when I was 9 days behind, due date now 24th Nov! Waiting for my test results, I keep checking the app but trying to tell myself they’d have called if there was anything flagged.

Hi all, I've just joined Mumsnet, currently 15weeks in my first pregnancy with my first baby.
Also in the process of a house move so everything's going on.
I've read that you can possibly start feeling the baby move from next week, which I'm excited for, because at the moment nothing really feels real. My body hasn't changed too much, just looks like I've got fat lol. Does anyone else feel like they're in limbo?

I've just been told I have low papp-a and to take aspirin. They referred me to an NHS leaflet which mentioned it is recommended to induce labor. I'm not terribly keen on that - was this your experience?

XxMummyTo5xX · 16/05/2025 21:34

been abit quiet on here again ladies, had alot going on recently 🤦🏻‍♀️ but went for my 12 week scan today and was measuring 12+4 so new due date of 24th November! how is everyone else doing? x

BessieBye · 17/05/2025 02:25

@BessieBye @XxMummyTo5xX great news on your scans

Anyone started looking for prams? Any mams on this have any recommendations? Ideally affordable ones xxx

XxMummyTo5xX · 17/05/2025 10:17

@CJHR18 thankyou 😊 my son was born in november & we didn't buy his pushchair until the January in the sales! got a right bargain haha.. not sure when we will buy this time around as depends on what we are having x

with my first I was induced at 38 weeks due to her being small (5lb 10oz at birth) but I’m not sure if I had low PAPP-A then, I put it down to hyperemisis that she was small. My third they told me about the low papp/a and tbh I never even took the aspirin as I didn’t think it was necessary due to my last baby being born a normal weight, in fact no one even told me what it meant! But no with the third I was 6 days overdue no mention of an induction at any point and growth scans were all average. I honestly think it’s just a precaution and not a sign of bad things to come.

Thank you! That's really helpful and a bit of a relief. I've started on the aspirin but good to know if everything is alright I can still hope for a natural birth.

lavafield · 19/05/2025 10:29

I am also taking aspirin this being first pregnancy and age 40+, to lower pre-eclampsia risks. So far all good, I think I sleep better with it and my blood pressure is normal!
I was also told I would have to be induced if I go beyond 40 weeks, against because of age risks. Hope my little boy comes out just before that and I avoid induction... but let's see! My due date shifted to end-October but I will remain in the November group ☺️

xTinkerbell · 19/05/2025 10:47

Starting to think about names already, tricky when it’s your fourth!

I had a girls name that’s been on my list since my first, hate it now!

XxMummyTo5xX · 19/05/2025 10:52

@xTinkerbell haha 😆 well this is baby 6 for us & we have 4boys & 1 girl, i have a girls name picked out, but when it comes to a boys name i dont have a clue what i could call another boy 🤦🏻‍♀️ i think girls are easier to name than boys lol. so this is your 4th child, how many girls or boys do you have already then? if you dont mind me asking x

xTinkerbell · 19/05/2025 10:54

@XXXXXMummyTo5XXXXX it’s so hard isn’t it? 😂

I definitely think girls names are easier than boys names but when we had DS (our third baby) we were between two boys names and I still love the one we didn’t use so think that will be what we go with if it’s a boy.

I have 2 boys & a girl already. My gut is this one is another boy but husband thinks girl 😂

XxMummyTo5xX · 19/05/2025 11:40

@xTinkerbell yes it is hard might called this boy 'last-one' 😂😂🤣🤣 & n'awww what makes you think boy hun? is it symptoms? i dont have a clue tbh or a gut feeling, just knowing my luck, probs will be a boy as i have soo many already haha! but aslong as baby is healthy thats all that matters 💕 x

xTinkerbell · 19/05/2025 21:23

@XxMummyTo5xX well that would stop people asking if it’s the last own I guess 😂

No, not really. My pregnancies have all had similarities and differences tbh. I just think it’s a boy based on nothing other than I imagined I’d have 3&1 😂. Happy either way though, I really don’t mind.

XxMummyTo5xX · 19/05/2025 21:33

@xTinkerbell have you heard of nub theory? could try looking at your 12 week scan photo to see if you can see anything 😆 x

xTinkerbell · 19/05/2025 21:40

@XxMummyTo5xX can’t see a bloody thing on it 😂

XxMummyTo5xX · 19/05/2025 21:46

@xTinkerbell ohh typical! 😆🤦🏻‍♀️ with mine i just dont have a clue what is supposed to be the nub or how its even worked out as tried to compare my scan to those online and nothing looks similar 🙄 lol x
