Anyone else for November 2025 yet? Technically I'm due Halloween but highly likely to be a first half of November baby assuming everything goes well. 3+6 today and I've known since Tuesday at 3+3! Roll on double figures and feeling a bit more secure in it all.

Hi all would love to join, currently 5+4 I have a scan on Friday due to miscarriages in the past, our last miscarriage was a mmc in June 2023 at 12 weeks, havnt managed to fall pregnant since until now so very nervous! How is everyone xx

Hi, welcome and gentle congratulations 💕 I'm in the same boat, 5+6 and two previous losses, one was a mmc. So, I totally understand the nerves and I'm here if you want to chat about anything. My first scan isn't till 13th April which has felt like an eternity of a wait. Hope everything goes well for you and your little one xxx

XMummyTo5X · 02/04/2025 10:55

Writerscompanion · 02/04/2025 12:52

Welcome @Mummy1502and good luck for Friday.

My private early scan is tomorrow at 4.30 (will be 7+0) and I’m just wishing the time away now. Feeling pretty nauseous today and no food sounds good but when I start nibbling I’m ravenous.

Nikkix86 · 02/04/2025 12:57

I had my scan and everything is looking great! Measuring a few days behind at 5+5 but it's well away from my c section scar this time and we saw the little heartbeat fluttering away 🥰🥰

Me neither, I’m eating the most random things, I find myself just going to Tesco everyday and picking what I fancy, mainly meat, spicy foods, fruit and crumpets with real
butter and marmite, the craving for spice is unreal! I’m eating jalapeños out the jar and driving to the kebab shop just for their whole green chillies 😂 xx

Thankyou, good luck to you too, I find I’m not eating proper meals, just picking at random stuff 😂 although I am making tacos tonight (loaded with jalapeños of course) which I’m really excited for xx

I hope you do! I wasn't sure if we would as I didn't know when I ovulated but keeping everything crossed for your scan 🤞🤞

Why is early pregnancy such whirlwind of emotions, I’ve struggled with constant nausea, unable to eat/drink properly felt dizzy for the past 2 weeks! The medication I was put on didn’t help. Rang the doctors back this morning and they have prescribed another type to try BUT of course today I don’t feel very sick. Like something has just switched from the last 2 weeks, should I be worried?

XMummyTo5X · 02/04/2025 14:32

@Nikkix86 congratulations on your scan 🥰 im suprised you got to see everything at 5+5! did they measure the fetal pole then in CRL? n'awwww do you have another scan then? x

madasahatter96 · 02/04/2025 14:35

I have my scan next Saturday had one on Monday at 5+6 but they would frustratingly only do abdominal ultrasound so couldn't see anything other than the sac and yolk sac so back again on the 12th and hopefully will see more as will be 7w+

XMummyTo5X · 02/04/2025 14:53

@madasahatter96 yeah same happened here to me last friday when i was 5+3, she wasn't interested in doing dildo-cam scan, just abdominal even though i said to her "well you might be able to see more" but said back to me i was measuring less than 6 weeks so she wouldnt see anything else anyway! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nikkix86 · 02/04/2025 15:42

Yeah so she did abdominal first to check placement and could see the sak and then asked if I wanted an internal scan to see if we could see the baby and she saw the yolk sack and then a tiny bean attached and could clearly see the heartbeat flickering away. She guessed 6 weeks and then measured and said 5+5

Nikkix86 · 02/04/2025 15:43

No more scans till 12 weeks but I'm going to book a private scan for 9 weeks 😅

JennyTig · 02/04/2025 15:55

Hello everyone, sorry I've been really quiet - it's been a bit of an ordeal over the past week!

I'm going to write it all here a bit later in case it's useful for anyone, but happy to report that after it seeming like we were having some really bad news on Saturday.. it's all turned out great and saw a little heartbeat today.

When I'm stressed/worried/anxious I tend to go quiet and turn off any baby related notifications - mostly to stop me googling like mad.

I'll go back and read up on everything I've missed and write up my story when I get a chance.

XMummyTo5X · 02/04/2025 15:58

@Nikkix86 thats amazing is that! i cant wait for my scan on friday now to see if we get to see a little bean & heartbeat 🤞🏻🥲 x

Writerscompanion · 02/04/2025 17:15

Sorry you’ve had such a stressful week @JennyTigbut congrats on your positive scan and seeing the heartbeat, how lovely xx

JennyTig · 02/04/2025 17:55

So I had some spotting and cramping during the week last week and was referred to the EPU on Saturday for a scan.

Saturday arrived (at which point I'm 7+0), all my cramps and spotting had stopped completely and generally I was feeling good about things.

Went into the scan and the sonographer looked really worried. She said that it looked like I had released an egg from each side and BOTH looked ectopic, one near the ovary and one between uterus and tube.

Devastated at this point as double ectopic sounds crazy. They took bloods and put a wrist band on me ready to stay in the hospital - just waiting on the consultant to look at the scans + bloods and determine next steps.

Hours pass by as the consultant is tied up with other things, I'm sat on a ward worrying myself stupid.

Just at the point I crack and start to get upset, in comes the doctor to tell me it is not ectopic - the ovary side looks like it's just the cyst/corpus luteum and the other side she said is high pregnancy but definitely within the uterus.

What a rollercoaster. They book me to come back in today (Wednesday) where I would be 7+4.

I spend the 4 days stressing that there wasn't a heartbeat at 7 weeks and although it's in the right place I am preparing for it to not be a viable pregnancy. Grateful not ectopic though.

So. Today comes and in we go for the scan (this time with husband and not alone thankfully)

Consultant is the one to do the scan and she explains we still might not see a heartbeat today as it's still early, and that she would have waited longer but as the pregnancy was high she wanted to have a look a bit sooner to be safe.

The results of the scan are that baby is at the start of 6 weeks (not measuring 7+4) and there is a heartbeat and all in exactly the right place.

I asked about size and dates and she explained that even if you know your ov and the day you had sex ("even if you just had sex once that month") that at this early stage the conception and implantation actual dates can be quite off - but most importantly this is very common, the baby has grown in the 4 days and heartbeat is now detectable which is all good.

She also explained that very early on things can look like they might be in the wrong place, and it's best for them to assume/proceed on that assumption until they actually know, better safe than sorry.

Now discharged back to the community midwives and yesterday my symptoms started in full swing! Tracks with the 6 weeks nausea started during my last pregnancy, and explains why my CB digital only showed 1-2 weeks when I thought I was 4+3. HCG and progesterone levels are good for 6-7 weeks so all looking positive.

I wanted to share this incase anyone was worried about lack of symptoms, CB digital dates, not seeing heartbeat at expected 7 weeks. Although nothing is a guarantee, it feels like a positive story to tell.
