Anyone else for November 2025 yet? Technically I'm due Halloween but highly likely to be a first half of November baby assuming everything goes well. 3+6 today and I've known since Tuesday at 3+3! Roll on double figures and feeling a bit more secure in it all.

lavafield · 17/03/2025 17:03

Hi all 👋 Tentatively joining, I am 7 weeks tomorrow and due 4 Nov. I am in my early 40s like quite a few of us here, so obviously anxious, and this would be our first one!

Congratulations - I'm 7 weeks on Wednesday and also will be my first living baby :) I'm 41 too so very nervous after previous losses x

Iam waiting to see if epu will see me as the scan I had which was abdominal was so bad he couldn’t even be sure of my dates and said he could only possibly see a ges sac and yolk sac and said maybe only 4 weeks. Clear blue a week and half ago said I was 3+. He said I had to wait until 12 weeks to see if it has progressed which I think is very unfair to leave someone that long,I did say anything this early should be a transvaginal and he disagreed with me. If epu won’t see me it’s going to have to be a private I think. Does anyone has measurements of ges/yolk sac around 4/5 weeks?

madasahatter96 · 17/03/2025 17:52

Hi can I join just found out I'm pregnant with baby number 4 was not trying but hey life has a plan for me clearly. Scared and won't be due till end of Nov.

@Aandk64 thank you and here is to healthy pregnancies to all not-so-old older mamas to be here! 🥰 I saw your scan from earlier in this thread, sounds promising, very happy to see all seems to go well so far! x
Congratulations to everyone of course, I have been reading this thread since I found out I am pregnant last month and found it very supportive! x

Hunger kicking in here too! Last time with DS I had terrible nausea from about week 7 so making the most of enjoying eating just in case...😬 X

Hi everyone!

Tentatively excited to join the group - got my positive test a little unexpectedly last week at 10dpo (we weren’t supposed to be trying until summer - oops!) and it’s my first ever pregnancy. All very exciting and scary with EDD around 19 Nov. Symptoms so far have been relatively gentle - mild headaches, some cramping and sore boobs but nothing too grim (yet!).

The thing I’m currently flapping over though is having a stinking cold with a nasty cough and a low grade fever for the last 24hrs (37.4 to 38.1). We’ve not told anyone yet about the positive test so whilst I’m waiting for the docs to call me back I just need to write my worries down and stop myself spiralling 😂

Congratulations to all and looking forward to hearing how everyone progresses on this wild journey!

I went to the epu department on Friday and she said i was about 5 weeks 4 days when I had my scan, she did an abdominal and transvaginal scan which she said you can see alot more with being so early. They saw a ges sac and yolk sac on mine. That's bad they haven't re booked you in in 2 weeks for another scan in have to go back again on 28th. I'd call the GP to ask to see epu again.

How’s everyone feeling today? I was all over the place yesterday, not helped by a super late bedtime with my daughter. She seemed very frustrated feeding at bedtime and was patting the boob and saying ‘stuck’, I’m not sure if my supply could be affected so early but she wasn’t happy!

I am also failing in my efforts not to test and worry constantly, I keep thinking they are too light and that I don’t have enough symptoms. With my daughter I had really sore boobs and super sense of smell by now but this time I don’t feel pregnant yet, although I am weeing a lot and breastfeeding is more uncomfortable. Need to try and take my mind off it and concentrate on work now but it’s nearly impossible!

lynzmb · 18/03/2025 10:28

I forgot how stressful these early weeks are @Writerscompanion . So hard to concentrate on anything - I was useless at work yesterday! I haven't tested today (so far) but still overthinking every little twinge. Convinced myself last night it's ectopic as I had bleeding at the start. I need to step away from the internet 🤦🏻‍♀️

Writerscompanion · 18/03/2025 10:37

@lynzmbyes I had too! The overthinking is real. Just trying to tell myself I can’t control the outcome and go day by day. Will try and do some yoga today, I only joined pregnancy yoga in the third trimester last time but I really need to try and build my core strength this time as my back and shoulder are in pieces from toddler-lifting.

lynzmb · 18/03/2025 10:45

That sounds like a sensible plan, I might try the same! I'm off today getting my hair done which is lovely, sitting reading my book while my colour is on and trying not to spiral! x

Just a heads up - our local farm has a lambing experience which I thought would be fab to do with DS - but nope! ⛔🐑

Good to know! We have one at our nearby city farm and I’ve been meaning to take my daughter. Struggling to remember all the things I’m now not supposed to do, just had to check which herbal teas I can have.

WhatTheEll · 18/03/2025 14:13

I’ve bought two things now with Chicory root in…herbal tea and a keto bar, and although you can have chicory in small doses it’s just freaking me so I’ve given them to my husband 😆

Writerscompanion · 18/03/2025 15:36

Another thing I didn’t know before that I’ve just read - Tommy’s list of safe foods advised to avoid eating from children’s plate or cutlery to avoid a viral infection called CMV. DD is going to be upset that she can’t feed me some of her dinner!

Oh really! Didn't know that one. Will probably do me good not finishing off DS's tea 🤣 I've had CMV it's brutal!

What is everyone's take on herbal teas? Apparently even peppermint and camomile are not great. I usually have one small cup of coffee in the morning, one cup of black or green tea, and then switch to rooinos or lemon/ginger tea and occasionally can have one or two cups of peppermint tea, or rose hip. I figure one cup of either these won't do any harm unless I consume litres per day ?

I mean she literally licks my face so I'm not sure the cutlery thing will prevent us sharing germs! Urgh sorry to hear it, can't believe there's yet another bug to worry about, I thought we'd had everything from nursery by now.

Oh no! I've just had a three mint because the stuff I saw this afternoon said it was safe, although I'm avoiding camomile. But yes from what I've seen it's multiple cups a day to avoid. I'm still having a morning coffee, last time it started turning my stomach around six weeks so I want to enjoy it while I can.

Hi all!

Hope you don't mind if I join. Just found out I'm 4+3 after TTC for over 2 years - had 2 failed IVF transfers and then 1 transfer that ended in fatal fetal complications. So am extremely nervous after a bumpy ride to get here!

I had my Beta test today and it came back at 90 - trying very hard not to stress but it just feels very low. Scan isn't until 8th April so I have no idea how I'm going to stay sane - have already used up all of my at home tests!

I’m absolutely petrified of CMV - toddler has been ill with a viral which ive now caught! Presenting as a typical cold, are CMV symptoms the same or different to the common cold?
