I tested positive this morning.

My last period started 7/12/24 and ended 11/12/24. I slept with number 1 on 14/12/24 and I slept with number 2 on 22/12/24. I regularly update my flo app with peak test dates so it put my ovulation date as 24/12/24 however didn’t test this month.

i took a pregnancy test 30/12/24 (16 days after having sex with number 1) and it was stark negative.

i just took a test 2/1/25 and it’s a very faint positive.

Who is the father?

A DNA test will solve that for you.

It could be either - especially as the ovulation is only a guesstimate based on the app. The only way to know definitely is to do a DNA test as PP said.

Up Until December I was taking ovulation tests and peak tests were always around CD16 so I think the app should be quite close!

Even if it was only 3 days after my period?

Two potentials a week apart could honestly be either - you’ll need a DNA test when baby is born.

You could count days and say who’s most likely but sperm can live for days, you can ovulate early or late there really is no way to know.

I’m not judging you, I’ve slept with two men in the same month myself, but if you do this is the chance you take.

They say sperm can live up to 7 days. There could have still been some alive if you ovulated earlier.

24th seems quite late for ovulation

As above DNA test is your only option unless they are very different in looks or skin tone and the baby makes it obvious who their father is.

On a separate note were you trying to conceive? If not why are you having unprotected sex with 2 different men and have you all had recent STI checks? Certain STIs can be very harmful to babies so if you intend to continue the pregnancy you should prioritise testing as soon as possible.

Likely 2 but if you’re tracking I presume you’re trying? And if you’re trying I’m a bit baffled as to why you’d have unprotected sex with two men.

Based on your cycle length I'd suspect it's more likely to be the 2nd fella. You wouldn't ovulate on cycle day 8 with a cycle that long. I think you definitely need a DNA test, but I'd suspect guy 2 x

I mean we aren’t supposed to judge people but if your relationship is at the point of you’re breaking up, why are you trying to get pregnant? And why aren’t you using protection with the randomer you slept with? Honestly, honestly baffled.

I know it’s very silly of me, I wanted to have a baby with my partner as I didn’t think I’d ever leave him and I obviously love him and the other person was a drunken mistake..

More likely to be Man 2 based on cycle length.

I suppose at least because you both slept with other people, your fella can't exactly be mad about the situation (I hope). Anyway I hope it works out for you x

He’s not mad, we both we were just in total shock this morning and he knows a lot about all of this as we have researched so much about ttc so I think he knows it’s more likely to be his but he understandably wants a DNA test which I do too! Thank you so much for your kind words, I’m not going to be telling anyone until I know the truth so it’s nice to hear☺️x

Most likely guy number 2 is the father going from your cycle length and dates. Only a DNA test will give you a definitive answer though.

I think we will be taking a DNA test at 8 weeks so I really hope so! Thank you for responding x
