Hello,
I came off my pill end of November and had withdrawal bleed straight after. I have not had a period since this and it’s been over 4 weeks. I did a pregnancy test yesterday and this morning with what looks like a faint blue line. The line appeared after 3 minutes and has stayed. I also did a digital test this morning and it says negative. Is it just to early for the digital clear blue to show?

I think they are clear lines though! The lines are clear to the eye and not so faint you can’t see them. Maybe just try and get some pink dye tests. (Doesn’t have to be first response) I found the pink dye ones easier to read. I’m saying this now but I was stressing out over the 5 days and worrying about the lines so I totally understand. Have you tried digital to? Think you have be further along for digital, I got 2 negatives on digital but once I got a darker cross on the clear blue the digital said pregnant 1-2 weeks the day after. happy Christmas!

Thankyou I've ordered some first response I haven't tried a digital yet I'll go buy one of them tomorrow :).
I know we shouldn't test so early because this is what it does it just worries us
but I just can't help my unhealthy obsession haha

Yes maybe buy a cheaper digital one and a clear blue one too 🙂. If I’m completely honest I still tested this morning to check if a line is still there! I’m still in shock I think and now worried it won’t stay positive!!

Thank you ☺️ not exactly sure! As a faint test showed last Sunday and then by Tuesday a digital came back positive and said 1-2 weeks. So I think it’s just over 4 weeks I’m gone now. I’m contacting doctors tomorrow to hopefully get bloods etc x

@Kieney I've been booked an internal ultrasound tomorrow at 3, so I'll keep you updated if baby is all okay! I've been suffering with really bad cramps all day, so
They've thankfully got me in a really early scan

AHBM2020 · 27/12/2024 05:46

@Kieney sorry I've just woken up! Brain foggy 😂 TODAY at 3 x

AHBM2020 · 27/12/2024 05:48

Looking at your test, I'd just like to say they are very dark for how early you were testing! Is there a possibility your a little bit later than you may think? Your lines look very clear and strong, usually at 8DPO they're fainter. Maybe you're a bit off with dates, or heaven forbid, have twins? 😂

No hunny it's ivf so I'm later if that makes sense so it says 8dpo but it's a 5 day blastocyst which means it's actually 13dpo so I feel like it should be a lot darker if that makes
sence x

Hello, me again! I have one more question. I’ve had on and off cramping for a few minutes then goesover the last week or so. Last night I had much worse cramping throughout the night ( not horrendous but more consistent. Would go away but came back shortly after.) I woke up this morning, there’s no blood and my test now says 2-3 weeks. Is the cramping normal at this stage? it does feel like bad period pains but higher up

don't worry about the cramping, the test is progressing on (more hormones showing in urine) that is a good sign, congratulations.

Fishandchipsareyum · 29/12/2024 11:51

I believe its called implantation bleeding/ cramping

I've been cramping for 2 weeks now, even to the point of waking me up at night. I had to go up hospital and they said everything is fine, baby is too. Just cramping as my body is stretching

That’s good to know! Glad to hear you and baby are doing well 🙂 Yes I had some pretty bad cramps and sharp pains keeping me up too! I was getting worried as the sharp pains mainly seemed on the left side. And was started to worry could it be eptopic. Although the sharp pains seem to have gone now. they have booked me in for an early scan next Tuesday just to be sure I think. As I’m so early ( well I think I am as I’m still not exactly sure how far gone as didn’t have my period as such!) the test said 2-3 weeks the other day so should be around 5 weeks now. Not sure if can see anything on ultra sound so may be a transvaginal they do. Think they just want to check all is growing in the right place. How far gone are you now?

Blue2020 · 02/01/2025 06:37

@ava124 congratulations. Also I had cramps from 11dpo all the way until 6/7weeks on an off. Also had a very intense pain on my lower right at 7+5 and ended up at epu concerned about ectopic. It was all fine, no idea what caused the pain. I’m now 24 weeks along.

I hope the pregnancy goes smooth for you. Good luck with the scan. I guess because you are so early just go in with low expectations. Usually you don’t see much until at least 6-7 weeks along, they will hopefully be able to tell it’s in the right location though at 5-6 weeks. Yes it should be transvaginal. My 8+0 scan started abdominal but even that had to switch to transvaginal for a clearer view, it’s not painful at all.

Okay that’s really good to know, thank you. The cramps seem to be more like bad period pains now so fingers crossed everything is okay. Yes I don’t think we’ll see much! When I spoke to them they said as I didn’t don’t know when my official period was they don’t know exactly how far along I am until I go. I’m guessing around 5 weeks but could be a bit more maybe
