Pull out method

Hi,

We've been using the pull out method now for over a year with no pregnancies. I completely understand this method is silly if you really don't want a baby. We're using this method with "if it happens it happens & we'd be happy"

I'm curious to know has any of you actually got pregnant from this? Can you remember if your partner ejaculated in you or was it a complete shock as partner definitely pulled out?

Doesn't it spoil the enjoyment a bit? Especially for the man?

Either lab for a baby or plan not for a baby.

Either plan for a baby or plan not for a baby. No half measures.

Used pull out method for years, one night drunk we didn't and bam my 8 week old is asleep next to me . Third baby

We used it successfully for several months, until he wasn’t quite quick enough one time, which resulted in an accidental pregnancy. Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage shortly after. But you absolutely can get pregnant using this method.

It's like the problem page in More magazine!

🤣

@arethereanyleftatall "I've been ok on it. But I'm 50, only interested in guys over 50 too and not during ovulation"

And it's definitely the pull out method that's prevented you getting pregnant?

arethereanyleftatall · 11/12/2024 12:17

Lol, good point @CurlewKate , but I'm not about to experiment!

I know that you are obliged to suck air between your teeth and bemoan the stupidity of people who use this method but ...
my DH and I knew that we wanted to have three children, we had a vague idea about preferential spacings between them but we weren't really so fussed that it would have been a problem had one arrived earlier than planned, and so we used this method for 6 years without a hiccup. But when we were ready to have another, I was pregnant within one and two months respectively.

Used it reliably for 7 years, two wanted pregnancies in that time.

I should probably add that after our third, DH had a vasectomy. So, once out family was complete, the risk of pregnancy, even having found it to be reliable method for all those years, was too high for us.

@EllieRosesMammy
How do you check your fertile window please?

There's a few period tracking apps you can download that tell you when your fertile days should be. I use "Ovia" - however if you have irregular cycles this won't be accurate and you'd have to take ovulation tests to really figure it out. Most women with a typical 28 day average cycle will ovulate between days 12-16 of their cycle. If you spend a long time tracking your cycle you'll start to eventually just be able to tell when you're ovulating x

Some men are more than happy to cum over bellies, boobs. Face I drew the line at 🤢😂

Beepbeepoutoftheway · 12/12/2024 07:42

6 years and was fine. When trying to conceive, it literally took 2 months :)
