There's nothing unusual about a husband and wife having anal sex if both parties are happy, but I can't understand why you were talking to you doctor about it and why they would advise you to have regular testing? For what?

Yeah sure. But that's not what people are casting judgement on is it?

Oh I'm not saying the original post is legitimate or there isn't some humour to be found in the detail but if this post is a wind up then it's worked beautifully because it's received so many sanctimonious responses.

Anal sex can be pleasurable and safe for both men and women. People need to educate themselves before casting judgement. Anal sex is a perfectly healthy form of intimacy for lots people.

Anal sex can be pleasurable and safe for both men and women. People need to educate themselves before casting judgement.

It's mostly men though. (Who find it pleasurable.) Many women do not.

No-one needs to 'educate themselves' (patronising much?!) Many women have tried anal sex, and hated it. That's why there are so many comments against it on this type of thread. It's the man that generally gets all the pleasure. I am clearly talking about hetero relationships before anyone pipes up, as this is what the OP is on about.

@Twinmumma32 How on earth can anyone on here know if you are pregnant? As a pp said, do a test FGS. Not even a midwife on Mumsnet is going to know if you're pregnant!

!

You’re really trying to tell me you can’t see that there’s a bigger risk of infection when something that has been inside your anus then goes into your vagina than with just vaginal sex? That’s not a case of opinion, it’s literally a fact. A penis isn’t completely sterile of course not, but you wouldn’t have anal sex and then vaginal sex immediately after without cleaning the penis in between because it IS an infection risk. It’s not a “do I agree with this”, it’s a fact. I’ve got absolutely nothing against anal, everybody can have whatever sex they fancy and I’ve never said I haven’t or don’t do anal. But that doesn’t change the fact that if something which has been in the anus then goes into the vagina it is an infection risk, there’s a reason us women are told to wipe front to back!

Oh yeah, wouldn't advise double dipping but that's not what's happened here.

Not sure if you've quoted me in error..?

HollyKnight · 06/10/2024 11:18

If you've done it lots of times that might explain why it leaks out now 😬

@Twinmumma32

its with my husband so all safe reguarly get tested too so all good .x

  • why do you get tested?

@lololulu do you really want to know?!

Sia8899 · 06/10/2024 11:39

Not sure why so many people are so anti-anal. Gay men have been having sex this way for centuries (if not longer) and they are not all incontinent or injured. I did only anal for years and my bumhole is absolutely fine. There are two sphincters, both designed for solids not liquid, so if you have liquid in between the two and your muscles are relaxed it may leak out. It doesn’t mean you have a bumhole problem, it’s just what happens when you have anal sex.

OP the chances of getting pregnant close to the start of your period from semen (probably mixed with lube) on the outside of your vagina are very slim. If you are worried about pregnancy you will probably be very focussed on how your body feels and notice period symptoms more than normal. But no one here can tell you for sure, you will need to either test or wait for your period

NewGreenDuck · 06/10/2024 11:48

As some of the risks of anal sex are tears to the anus, hemorrhoids and faecal incontinence I think lots of us will give it a miss. And getting semen near the vagina, not actually in the vagina, might result in pregnancy.

Blueskies3 · 06/10/2024 11:48

Gross thread. Take a pregnancy test. No one can tell you here.

tresales · 06/10/2024 11:50

This thread has some very childish responses, if you clicked it and thought the leaking comment was gross then fair enough but what would possess you to actually write it? Anal can be pleasurable for women and there's nothing wrong with doing it if you choose to - you're most likely to dislike it when you succumb to pressure and aren't relaxed vs it being a fully consensual choice.

OP I'd suggest just taking a test, you can get pregnant with semen leaking but the chances are low. Tender breasts could just be down to your period being due.

Tescos opened at 10am. Get a test. Do test. If no period and negative repeat every day. If brown discharge and pain see out of hours that you don’t have an Infection from cross contamination.

I wouldn’t have sex with my husband that I had to get checked regularly for STI’s!

ItWasOnAStarryNight · 06/10/2024 12:18

"I wonder if the judgemental people in here would tell a gay man he's 'gross' for the way he has sex too"

Doubt anything leaks into his vagina afterwards though. Grim

No contraception at all?
I would see a specialist not a GP.

Come on.
The OP isn’t the only one who can’t take contraception.
Any hormone based contraceptive makes me severely depressed . And the copper coil was painful (think endometriosis pains all throughout the cycle).

So no, I haven’t used any contraception since my late 30s.

Its not unusual and doesn’t require ‘specialists put’

Peonies12 · 06/10/2024 12:22

FGS just take a test: how can anyone here tell you, midwife or otherwise

TheShellBeach · 06/10/2024 12:30

I'm a midwife.

I can't tell over the internet if you're pregnant.

Nobody can. Take a test.

TheShellBeach · 06/10/2024 12:32

Oh and OP.

My DH and I don't get STI tested because we trust one another.

lololulu · 07/10/2024 12:39

@Motnight

I don't understand?

with threads like this i always wonder if they’ve taken a test and it hasn’t told them the result they wanted to hear.

You do realise that gay men aren’t one homogeneous group don’t you?
