Any positive stories about spotting for a few days? I started spotting last week on and off just a light yellowy brown, it's still there sometimes when wiping, I'm around 7 weeks now and scan next Tuesday. I just can't help but worry xxx

Yep I had spotting for a few days at 6 weeks. 33 weeks now. it's very common. When I did have a MC, the spotting progressed to bleeding within a day.

Ftctvycdul · 15/08/2024 10:42

I had spotting around the same time, rang 111 who sent me to a n e in the early hours of the morning. Everything was fine and my LO celebrates her 5th birthday next month.

My sister in law had spotting that turned to a heavy bleed, my niece is now 3!!

TheShellBeach · 15/08/2024 10:43

Yes, I had this, and that baby is now an adult!

OtterOnAPlane · 15/08/2024 10:43

I spotted all the say through pregnancy with DD1. She's off to school next week!

I had an early MC between DDs1 and 2 and that was very different, a proper gush of red.

I have had on off spotting accompanied by cramps. Had a scan at EPU at 6.5 weeks and all was fine and they could see a small area of bleeding below the fetus. Definitely see if you can get a scan at EPU for reassurance. I felt much better afterwards.

thelma57 · 15/08/2024 13:16

Yep! Had brown spotting which turned into some pink for about a week, DD is now 13 months and destroying the living room as we speak 💕

discoballdave · 15/08/2024 13:17

I had some light bleeding. It turns out it was a small haematoma. Baby is doing well and is four months old now.

verywellbehaved · 15/08/2024 13:18

Have you ever had to have a colposcopy?
I ask because I had some spotting early on and they said it was the scar tissue becoming irritated where the cervix was stretching and baby was fine.

LeroyJenkinssss · 15/08/2024 13:20

I had spotting/bleeding with my youngest. Went to ED, scan five days later - he’s now nine and “helping” me pack for our upcoming holiday 😁

Cashew1 · 15/08/2024 13:22

Yes loads of bleeding first trimester, she is now 5!

Heartofglass12345 · 15/08/2024 13:23

Yes a son that's about to turn 9 soon. It happened at least twice that I can remember. I hope all is ok for you Flowers

TheShellBeach · 15/08/2024 16:21

What date is your scan @BabyUxX?

I understand your worry, but bleeding and spotting in early pregnancy is very common.

It won't stop you panicking, of course. I was sure it was all over when I saw a little bleeding/spotting but it was fine. I was so happy and really surprised when there was a heartbeat.

Coastallife36385 · 15/08/2024 16:26

You could see if the provider could move your scan a few days earlier to alleviate your worries.

WhiskeyInTheJar33 · 15/08/2024 16:55

I had spotting from 6-8 weeks. Started brown then turned red. Am now 18 weeks and everything ok. Not sure where the bleed come from.

MikeRafone · 15/08/2024 20:26

I had bleeding from 11 weeks until 22 weeks

Now 24

cantwait4orsummer · 15/08/2024 20:28

I had a massive heavy bleed at 12 weeks, I had to use towels to go to A & E then on and off spotting until 22 weeks. My daughter is now 11.

standardduck · 15/08/2024 20:28

Yes!

I had spotting and light bleeding in first trimester. Went to my obgyn for a scan and all looked good, but I was put on progesterone just in case.

It's very common to have some spotting, but always good to get it checked out if you want some reassurance.

Good luck Flowers

GranolaGranolaGranola · 15/08/2024 20:41

Yes, I had this and all was fine. I was told it was leftover blood from implantation

whateveryouwantmetosay · 15/08/2024 20:50

I spotted in 1/3 of my healthy pregnancies (my others weren't healthy). I think it's really really common though, OP.

trillion · 15/08/2024 20:55

Yes spotting bleeding lots a&e visits and scans when bright red blood first thing in morning so scary but son now 5 hope all okay x

TomeTome · 15/08/2024 21:03

Mother of 5, spotting in all pregnancies.

TeddyBeans · 15/08/2024 21:04

I had light brown bleeding from 6-10 weeks and all was fine. DD is 17 months now 😊

PMAmostofthetime · 15/08/2024 23:31

I had spotting at 6 weeks followed by a heavy bleed and again at 8 weeks my DC is fast asleep next to me x

Peonyyyy · 16/08/2024 06:27

Yes I had brown spotting on and off for most of my first trimester, I had a scan at the hospital and they couldn’t see a reason why. I also had a little red bleeding at 17 weeks. Really scary as I have miscarried before and in my last successful pregnancy I never bled once.

I think it’s just one og those things sometimes - I am now 20 weeks with a healthy baby girl in there x
