Hey .. first timer being pregnant here.
I felt so sick and slight sore boobs food aversions all sorts week 5-8 8w1 and 8w2 probably being the worst I felt. 8w3 everything disappeared completely apart from tiredness and constipation. Naturally I worried and booked a private scan for next day. Baby was fine with strong heartbeat. See the placenta forming too! I'm 9weeks today and my only symptoms is a headache gassy and tired and I just feel so paranoid because all I see is people being so sick in 1st trimester so I feel like as I'm not something will go wrong..? Sorry anxious to the max!!

Has anyone had barely any symptoms and still everything's fine? Thinking of booking another scan for when I'm 9w4 just to check again..in my head I'm like but what if I am going to miscarry and it didn't happen yet at the scan and it has a few days after and it's a missed miscarriage?

@figgyandpig aw yay amazing news!!! So happy for you💕the tiredness is another level!! 12+5 and the tiredness and round ligament pain is another level. Also my skin?!!? It's absolutely awful. I've always had amazing skin :( we are actually going to a baby shop tomorrow to get an idea of pram and nursery suite so that's exciting! Xx

@Ellsx6 Ahhh so lovely! I remember with my son getting things from the shop. We didn’t know what we were having so bought lots of neutral things with forests and animals, so nice! M&S I remember did some really cute things & online a website called scandiborn did some cute things oh and a shop on Instagram called sleepy doe. I can’t wait for the 12 weeks to start getting all my old baby things out! We had the Chameleon buggaboo travel system & bought an extra chassis with 3 wheels for off road. I found getting the isofix base from gumtree more cost effective, we have 3 cars and the nanny had one too so got 4 for like £20 each! So exciting 🥰🥰

@figgyandpig today we found out we're having a little boy. My heart is bursting just imagining what he'll look like and what we will name him! Pregnancy really is just amazing! Xx

@Ellsx6 awwww yay! Congratulations 💙 Boys are so cute. We have a 7 year old boy and he was such a cute baby. Chubby little man. Get ready for bikes, scooters, mud, poo talk, wee talk, boggy talk 😂

Ellsx6 · 01/09/2024 11:39

@figgyandpig feeling very blessed! We've always spoke of wanting a boy first obviously we would've loved whatever but can't believe we actually got our boy!! It feels much more real now we know the gender🥲your 12 week scan must not be too far away now? Xx

@Ellsx6 So exciting 🤍 you’ll be noticing lots of things for him now and buying little bits that catch you eye, just love it. And we’ll be pregnant during winter so can be nice and cosy and not too hot!
have you signed up to any yoga classes or pregnancy things? I might try pregnancy yoga this time and have some reflexology, it’s so good during pregnancy; I didn’t with my son so want to really pamper myself this time round. I’ve been thinking of ways to tell my son he’s going to be a brother, he’s been asking for a sibling for years so I literally can’t wait to tell him!
we’ve got an 11 week scan Friday (my husband is up for lots of scans now 😂) and I’ve got my booking in app on the 9th so I think they tell me then when the 12 week scan will be. I’m expecting to be more like 13 weeks.

Ellsx6 · 04/09/2024 14:13

@figgyandpig I haven't looked into any pregnancy yoga or anything but I want to do something to keep my body moving. All I do is slob atm and no motivation to get out and move. I've been thinking about signing up for a pregnancy massage membership..you go every 2 weeks and it just looks amazing! I'm feeling very fat and sluggish so will defo have a look into the yoga. It's not something I've done before so a little nervous but I know it'll be good for me!! Are you hoping for a boy or girl this time?🩵

@Ellsx6 Yeah I’ve heard so much good stuff about yoga in pregnancy & you get to meet other women and share with each other. Oh wow a massage every 2 weeks sounds divine! I’m a massage therapist, along with other stuff, and have a few women I do swaps with so I’m hoping they’ll sort me out haha.
because we did ivf and have been trying for this baby for 5 years I really don’t mind what we have, I honestly am just so happy to bring another baby into our family, it will complete us. Sounds so cliche but it’s true 🥰

we had our 11 weeks private scan today and measuring 2 days ahead so 11w+2. If you go by nub theory, me and the sonographer think it’s a girl 💓 but we won’t find out until the baby’s born. What do you think?

Ellsx6 · 06/09/2024 16:37

@figgyandpig amazing gorgeous baby!!! Hmm I think looks similar to mine that's a boy?.. I heard that the nub will be the same for girl and boy until 12+4 though! I'm a beauty therapist so hoping to swap with some of the other beauty girls that come to me too because I'm unsure how long I can bend over to do my toes soon enough🤣😅
I 1000% get you! When a baby is so longed for the 'as long as it's healthy' really does stand and I would've never had gender disappointment after struggling for this long! It'll be great for your boy to have a brother but 1 of each would equally be lovely!🩵💕 I don't really have many friends close since we moved 2 years ago so will definitely be looking for groups to connect with other mums for baby dates when they arrive! Our family all live 3 hours away too so we will defo have our hands full!! I'm still struggling to come to terms with this happening and being pregnant. It feels way too good to be true that we're finally here. Another private scan tomorrow at 14+6 haha the anxiety!! I'm just desperate to feel baby move for some reassurance now. I do have a posteria placenta so hoping it's soon🤞🏽🤞🏽

@Ellsx6 Oh yeah, get some swaps going! I already get this woman to wax me now because I can’t really bend down that way any more 😂 reflexology is amazing in pregnancy, I do a lot of that for pregnant girls and it’s such a relaxing & calming treatment. Great for hormone balancing and can be good for labour points towards the end 🤩
nub theory is interesting isn’t it. Who knows!
when I had my son I found the church groups to be the best. They were always full of different people and the children loved it. We did 3 different ones each week and I made lots of friends through them. I’m not goddy or anything like that and they never try to “convert” you.

if you tap your tummy low down and lie down still you may feel vvvv light flutters. It’s like little bubbles or flutters. Not long and you will feel him 🥰💙 have a lush scan tomorrow 💙💙💙

Ellsx6 · 06/09/2024 18:21

@figgyandpig I wonder if I can't feel anything yet because I have some excess chub at the bottom of my belly from loosing weight😅I'll try that tonight and see if I can feel anything. I felt a few bubbles when in bed the other night but thought it's probably just gas🤣 I'm excited but weirdly scared to feel kicks. I'm going to look into reflexology it's not something I know much about!

Just to calm your mind, I'm 25 weeks and I've had virtually zero symptoms all pregnancy. No sickness, no nausea, no food aversions.

Now the only symptoms I have is back pain and leg cramps, both associated with pregnancy and a growing bump! Try not to worry - consider yourself one of the lucky ones, 🥰 I certainly did xxxx

Ellsx6 · 06/09/2024 19:46

@Lunamoon23 Thankyou lovely! It's just bizarre to me how I can be growing a whole human and having no symptoms of doing so!! I've been getting some lower back pain and round ligament pain the last 2 weeks so that's a good sign🤞🏽💕

Lunamoon23 · 06/09/2024 20:27

9 weeks is still super early, you've plenty of time to go to experience the joyful symptoms that come along with oregbancy, for now just embrace it because it does get tougher on you and your body as time progresses and your body starts to really change. But try not to stress and just enjoy it ❤️ xxxxx

Ellsx6 · 06/09/2024 20:54

@Lunamoon23 I'm 15 weeks on Sunday so finally in 2nd trimester! Hence why symptoms have 100% lifted now! Xxx

Becsahm · 06/09/2024 21:00

Please don't worry! in both my healthy pregnancies, my symptoms seemed to massively reduce/even go away at 9 weeks bizarrely! It was very strange but they ramped back up again around 11/12 weeks with both so that may very well happen with you! a midwife once told me it could be because your body gets used to the level of hormones so the symptoms settle and then you get a new influx of hormones and it ramps up. if your worried however just book a scan for reassurance or even contact the early pregnancy unit at your local hospital, I did that the first time round due to symptoms disappearing but everything was fine and the exact same thing happened with my next pregnancy xx

Ellsx6 · 06/09/2024 22:15

@Becsahm Thankyou lovely! I'm nearly 15 weeks now and had a few scans so feeling fine with no symptoms now as I know it's more than likely going to be fine now I'm at this point! Xx
