When did everyone's morning sickness end?

I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant. Since around week 7 I've been feeling nauseous in the afternoon/evening. I felt I've got off pretty lightly but since the end of week 9 I'm feeling sick all day. The only time I don't is when I'm eating - which admittedly is quite a lot of the time at the mo.

I've read that weeks 9 and 10 are often the worst.. has that been true for anyone?

Just realised I can do a poll!

Dc1 was around 16 weeks. Dc2 it didn’t end, sick every single day. It was truely horrific and the reason why there isn’t a Dc3.

SnackFish · 14/06/2024 21:42

4 kids never had any

KvotheTheBloodless · 14/06/2024 21:45

I had HG, so it didn't end till DS was born. BUT I was sick 20+ times a day from 2 days after I peed on a stick.

For most people it ends after 12 weeks. Hang in there, it's tough but it'll pass!

DrMadelineMaxwell · 14/06/2024 22:00

When I gave birth. Both times.

anyoldamy · 14/06/2024 22:05

Around 12 weeks which is also when my food aversions lifted.

anonhop · 14/06/2024 22:12

Started easing at 13 weeks & gone completely 16 weeks. Lots of people will say how awful it is, and it truly is, and scare you about how long it could last, but you will get through it + for most people it does go away after first trimester x

SnapdragonToadflax · 14/06/2024 22:15

19 weeks. Fucking hated it. Food aversions all continued until I gave birth.

It does pass eventually though, and then you never have to do it again if you don't want to.

Kendodd · 14/06/2024 22:17

At nine months.

DramaAlpaca · 14/06/2024 22:18

In two of my three pregnancies sickness didn't start until nine weeks or later. In all three it finally stopped at 20 weeks.

2chocolateoranges · 14/06/2024 22:18

wih ds I felt nauseous, with dd I was sick every day but both disappeared approximates at 16 weeks give or take a week or two.

Doesn't always pass. I had it for the whole of pregnancy, sick everyday until I gave birth for all three.

I'm hoping it gets better soon. Today has been very hard. I want Mexican food so bad I want to drop down to my knees and cry 😂

WLAH · 14/06/2024 22:23

Both times when baby born

EzioAuditore · 14/06/2024 22:30

Weeks 7-10 were absolute hell, the fortnight either side was bad but not as hellish, and nausea had nearly completely gone by end of week 12. Now 14 weeks and still have some food aversions, but nothing compared to a few weeks ago!

Disneydatknee88 · 14/06/2024 22:43

Around 14 weeks for me, both times. Then it came back with a vengeance in the 3rd trimester.

ToddlerMumma · 14/06/2024 22:45

Around 16 weeks. It's horrid. I actually lost weight through pregnancy and ended up over a stone lighter when I gave birth. Hope it eases for you soon

redbluegreenyellowbrown · 14/06/2024 22:47

Birth.

But then I had HG and spent lots of time in hospital having fluids and antiemetics IV, as I was too sick to be able to take sickness tablets as vomited them

mondaytosunday · 14/06/2024 22:54

When he was born.

TokyoSushi · 14/06/2024 22:59

Week 10 was the absolute worst for me and I ended up being temporarily signed off and on anti sickness medication. It settled at around 14 weeks but I was a bit more prone to sickness the entire pregnancy.

Postboxwatcher · 14/06/2024 23:04

I’m a midwife so see lots of people with this. If sickness is just early pregnancy nausea/sickness then women usually feel better around 14w. This is probably 2/3 women. Some feel better about 12-14w then it returns in the last month or so. Some unlucky ones suffer all the way through.

Hope you feel better soon :)

eacapade1982 · 14/06/2024 23:05

Had it both times from 6 weeks. Started easing off by 18 weeks, much better by 22 weeks.

Justrolledmyeyesoutloud · 14/06/2024 23:13

Was sick regularly up until week 28 but got used to it and didn't feel ill

Absy88 · 14/06/2024 23:31

DC1 eased at week 20 but then came back 2 weeks later and was still being sick during labour. DC2 eased around half way through with a couple of sickness days later although still felt neasous all the way through

ladygindiva · 14/06/2024 23:37

DC 1 ; 42 weeks ( the day I gave birth
DC 2/3 (twins) ; drastically improved around 16 weeks; gone by about 20 weeks

darksigns · 14/06/2024 23:46

Around 16 weeks each time to go completely.
