Hi,

not sure if I’m over thinking. I am 10 weeks pregnant and ate a cold macaroni pie will it be ok? I didn’t even think about heating it up as I’ve been struggling to eat with really back vomiting. Then when I seen that I wolfed it down. Will I be ok?

Not the point at all, but it’s amazing the things your body tells you are yummy when you’re pregnant! I don’t think cold macaroni pie would have been high on my list, though! I’m sure you’ll be fine, op. Congrats and hope everything goes smoothly.

ClaireCar90 · 01/06/2024 16:31

i know it really wouldn’t usually be high on my list but it seems to have worked! Thank you very much 😆

I moved to Scotland nearly 30 years ago and haven't quite plucked up the courage to try one of these yet, especially not a cold one. I am slightly more tempted by the lasagne pies and I absolutely love the chicken curry ones like this!

Mrsjayy · 01/06/2024 16:54

Oh lasange pie sounds a step too far !

Chicken curry pie!! I’ve never been to Scotland I’m thinking I need to make the trip…

WearyAuldWumman · 01/06/2024 18:39

I now have a craving for a macaroni pie, dammit!

They're amazing. Stodgy and congealed and just amazing. If you like congealed foods, which as you're basically Scottish by now, you must do 😁

Last weekend dp had a kebab pie, I dont want to relive that!

Is there anything that you guys wouldn’t put in a pie ? It’s a whole new world of opportunities.

Nope.
We're the monarchs of pies.

I had a steak and black pudding pie last week.

I don't know how I feel about that, I love a kebab and pie is basically baked dough so it's technically bread 😀

One of my dc worked in a farm shop and they did a steak and black pudding pie it was delicious.

soundsys · 01/06/2024 20:40

You'll be fine - you need to eat what you can stomach and if that's macaroni pies then so be it 😁

(I'm very jealous as I'm down south and haven't had one in quite a while!)

DemelzaRobins · 01/06/2024 20:58

I'm in England and hadn't heard of a macaroni cheese pie before but now I can't quite put into words how much I need to eat one. I'm 40 weeks so you'd think I'd be past the cravings stage...

I'm quite impressed OP - all I could eat in the first trimester was dry toast, chips and crisps!

Wheeeeee · 01/06/2024 21:09

I see you macaroni pie and I raise you haggis pakora!

37 weeks and reallllly want a macaroni pie now

dementedpixie · 01/06/2024 21:24

Salad.

Xyz1234567 · 01/06/2024 22:08

Put any filling of your choice in a pie, put the pie in a roll, dip it in batter and deep fry it!

fluffiphlox · 01/06/2024 22:10

It sounds like an absolute carbfest. I’m sure it will be fine.

EllieRosesMammy · 01/06/2024 22:11

You'll be fine 😅 I had severe food poisoning when I was 9 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby, she's alive and well 😁

I had a friend who used to eat a pie on a roll for a hangover cure...
