Late BFP?

Hi All,

I am just wondering if anyone on here had a really late bfp? Did anyone test negative for ages then eventually get your bfp?

I am CD34 and I have irregular cycles. This is our first month trying and wanted to do it au naturel so didn't use OPKs or check BBT. I'm also taking pregnacare conception which has dried up my CM so I have no idea when/if I ovulated. I have had symptoms but these are easily explained away. I've also had 3 x BFNs. I'm thinking I could have ovulated quite late in my cycle plus I also have a high BMI so think this could be diluting the HCG (if there is any to begin with).

If anyone has any BFP stories it would be great to hear them x x

My LH is started to go up. Between 0.01 and 0.02 a day lol. It should start rising properly in maybe 3 or 4 days is my guess? CM is increasing as normal so yeah, I reckon my O day will be around my birthday as predicted 🤞🏼 xxx

I'm still having cramps, bfn yesterday (15DPO) and no sign of AF. I just don't know what to think.

How's you? When is your birthday? Hopefully your LH levels are on the up x x

@BeckyPfromLeeds oh, when are you due on? Average LP is 14-16 days. I can't remember how long you said your cycle was. But until AF arrives you're not out! You sure there isn't even a squinter there?!

My birthday was yesterday and I've had the flu since Thursday. Starting to feel better now and LH is starting to rise today so I expect O in 2 days. Going to try to BD tonight, I don't want to miss this month's window. Hopefully we will BD tonight, skip tomorrow, then the following 2 days Xx

If I ovulated on 23rd Feb, I was due af on Friday. I have no idea what my LP is as this is my first cycle tracking. My cycles have been all over the place over the last few years. Mostly in normal range but occasionally a couple of weeks longer due to illness or stress, then the next month would be shorter to even out the 2 months. I did have a 96 day cycle from Nov 21 to Feb 22 which prompted me to go to the docs (along with my 40+ MOT) to start the testing process.

Completely agree that I'm not out until AF arrives but I'm slowly losing hope. I'm still having cramps though, so whenever I feel them, it reminds me that I might not be out.

@TheCakeIsALie18 Hey hun, well, nothing to report here. CD74, 20DPO, BFN this morning and no sign of AF.

I had the most horrendous headache and sickness yesterday. Not a migraine (I normally suffer from migraines) but it was as bad although it felt different. I had to finish work at 2 and go to bed.

I'm still getting weird cramping as well. This afternoon I have been feeling that fuzzy feeling down there again. Something is certainly off.

I was reading another post last night about a woman who never had a positive test with her first even when she had a scan to confirm it. She's now over 10 days late hcg is only 0.2 do she us having a scan on Sunday. So I'll certainly be keeping an eye on her story.

Are you still temping? What is your CM doing at the moment?

I'm just here basically ignoring this cycle since I'm still ill and we only managed it once the day before O and it was lucky I managed to get him to do that lol. Xx

@TheCakeIsALie18 Yes, still temping but they are all over the place. CM has dried up a little over the past few days but before then was just clear, wet CM. Deffo not sticky. I have attached a screenshot of my OPKs, HCG tests and my BBT. I really just don't know what to think 😕

I'm sorry you're still not feeling well. But you never know, it only takes one sperm to get the job done x x

Urgh, I don't know why I bother testing when all I get is BFN 😔😔 Still no sign of AF and still have a full feeling in my uterus.

I'm starting to wonder if I just haven't ovulated at all and all these feelings/cramps etc are just all being manifested by me 😢

One little plus is that my bbt seems to have been high for 4 days in a row. Not really high but certainly among the higher numbers seen so far.

I just don't know what to think 😕

Well, I am still in the same situation 😭😭 nothing but cramps and fullness/cramps in my uterus. I do keep getting odd shooting pains in my right boob. But they haven't grown and aren't tender ot heavy.

I think it might be time to speak with my GP to see if we can get to the bottom of it. Knowing me though they'll fob me off saying it's my age (42) and I'm probably in peri-menopause 😔😔

Well, I am no further on CD100 😲😲 and nothing. I'm registering with a new Dr before going for tests. Still having pregnancy symptoms but they can all be explained away. I'm just so frustrated 😠

@BeckyPfromLeeds hey I'm so sorry I didn't see your last message, and I'm sorry you've had no luck. I hope you get some answers with a new GP.

My life has been turned upside down this last month... Where do I start... So I got ill on the 8th March. Thought it was flu. On 9th March (my birthday) I had a temp of 40.1 and I felt like shit. Had a tummy ache and flu symptoms. Took paracetamol to keep temp down until the 14th March. That evening I had horrendous tummy pain. Worse than labour pain. I was mooing like I did when I was in labour.

I asked Simon to call my an ambulance which isn't like me. I have a crazy high pain threshold. We didn't call 999 ended up just driving to A&E. Got there at 10.30pm Thursday night. They took bloods and long story short I saw 4 different surgeons who were all confused because when they pressed my tummy it didn't hurt when they said I should have been hitting the roof. They originally though gallbladder. They nearly sent me home after then thinking it was trapped wind... They sent me for a CT scan and they told me I had perforated my appendix. So they put me on IV antibiotics and moved me to day surgical where I had to wait for surgery and a bed on a ward.

I was moved to a ward at 5pm on Friday 15th. I was then taken to surgery at 3am on Saturday. When they woke me up the surgeon he told me that a keyhole surgery had turned into major open surgery as my appendix had been completely obliterated and my bowel had perforated. He couldn't find my appendix at all. It was just goo and pus. So I came round with a 30cm incision and an emergency stoma. They are hoping the stoma will be reversible in about 6 months time. Fingers crossed.

So yeah.... We need to hold off on baby number 2 for the time being sadly. But luckily I'm alive. The surgeon said that he's never met anyone with a pain threshold as high as mine and he thinks I perforated my bowel on my birthday... 5 days before I went in and 7 days before they operated. Crazy.

Oh my god!! I'm so sorry to hear that. It's a good job you got to the hospital and that they didn't send you home. That must have been so worrying for you all. But like you said, you are all sorted and hopefully on the mend. I'm sure you have plenty of time to try for number 2.

I didn't go to my other GP as we moved to a new area 2 years ago and didn't tell them as I liked that surgery. Since thinking that I might need a lot of appointments, I've decided to register at one closer to our (not so) new house.

I don't know how it is going to go but we will see.
