Pregnant less than a month after miscarriage

I miscarried twins ( at around 7/ 8 weeks pregnant) around the 13th December 2023.
First time ever being pregnant. Not had a period since but had ovulation symptoms around 31 December and just taken x4 pregnancy tests tonight..Positive, strong lines! Feel like I’m dreaming. Scared, happy, anxious, excited, nervous, terrified! Anyone else been here and had a healthy pregnancy?

I haven’t been there exactly, but what a lovely surprise following a difficult time — and congratulations on your pregnancy 💐 Wishing you all the best.

So sorry for your loss OP 🤗

I have been there, not with twins but I had a mmc at 9 weeks, no period in between and am just feeding my 10 month old baby to sleep🤍I tested positive (faintly) a month to the day after medical management. It can work out for you and I really hope it does. Wishing you the best x

Thenatcheshire · 18/01/2024 21:23

Thanks so much for the good news story and your kind words x @Cdoc

I found out 3 weeks and 6 days after I miscarried that I was pregnant again. When we got pregnant the first time I was elated. Then miscarried. When I found out the second time I was a complete bag of nerves just waiting to lose the baby again. I’m writing this with my sleeping 7 month old in my arms. Wishing you lots of good luck and happiness x

Becgoz7 · 18/01/2024 21:29

Congratulations! We lost a little boy (missed miscarriage 16 1/2 weeks) found out at the 20 week scan.

We wanted to try again asap. I was induced on the 22nd january and was pregnant again by June so not quite as quickly but our rainbow baby is 12 next month 🌈🥰

Crikeyalmighty · 18/01/2024 21:33

I had a miscarriage that was only picked up on 12 week scan- basically pregnancy hadn't gone beyond 9 weeks but I hadn't bled) and I was pregnant again within 6 weeks- he is now 25 - I was36 at the time

cadburyegg · 18/01/2024 21:37

Have you had a negative pregnancy test since the miscarriage?

Thenatcheshire · 18/01/2024 22:27

@cadburyegg yeah couple of negatives a few weeks ago. But then my ovulation sticks I’ve taken quite regularly over the past month n they’ve just constantly said ovulating. I read this can mean you’re actually pregnant so did the tests tonight and low and behold my rainbow!

@Thenatcheshire what I will say is I was so hyper alert and anxious and at 7 and 9 and 11 weeks insisted on seeing midwife for a quick- 'check you can hear a heartbeat thing' They were lovely actually and totally understood- I had 2 much older children from previous marriage so I was aware that I could carry ok . Big hugs to you xx

Thenatcheshire · 18/01/2024 22:41

@Crikeyalmighty I know the feeling. I was in and out of the EPU constantly with my previous pregnancy, constantly googling etc etc. im going to try and hold my nerve for a few more weeks before I go and see the EPU this time and just let my body do it’s thing. Because of no period really hard to know how far along I am as that usually adds a few weeks on from your ovulation and actual conception doesn’t it. So am I 3 ish weeks in line with my ovulation or do I still add on a few weeks even though no period?! God knows Dug out my pregnancy vitamins earlier, just going to try and stay calm and get further along so when I do go there’s hopefully plenty to see. Easier said than done though hey!! X

Congratulations!

I had a MC at 13 weeks many years ago, and a healthy baby ten months later.

glasdee · 18/01/2024 23:37

I had a positive test yesterday (2-3 weeks on CB digital) after a loss late November. I’m struggling to feel excited, mostly grateful and nervous. Sending all the healthy baby vibes!

ARealFake · 18/01/2024 23:45

Miscarried end of Feb 22, fell pregnant again end of March 22, baby girl has just turned 1 Smile massive congratulations to you xx

Couggstar123 · 20/01/2024 00:27

Hallo!

I miscarried on 7th August and tested positive on 3rd September. Sadly this second pregnancy was chemical (lines were very faint and didn’t progress, nothing like your tests at all!) and I bled again on 9th Sept. We then found out I was pregnant for a third time on 4th October so I actually got pregnant 3 cycles in a row. I am now 19+2 and so far everything has gone smoothly and he seems to be a healthy, active little boy on our scans. My midwife wasn’t at all concerned about the fact I didn’t have a period between miscarriages, it can just make it trickier to work out dates but because I knew when I ovulated I wasn’t worried about that and he’s measuring exactly as he should be!

All the best for your pregnancy, try and relax and enjoy it! You’re tests are lovely a strong so sending lots of sticky bean luck your way! ❤️❤️

Couggstar123 · 20/01/2024 00:32

Sorry shouldn’t said that they just dated my pregnancy from when I started bleeding with my miscarriage so 9th Sept…bit strange really to think that on day one of this pregnancy I was technically still pregnant with my previous one but it is what it is! And like I say he is measuring perfectly (to the day 🤣) using that date!

Thenatcheshire · 20/01/2024 17:44

With my last pregnancy my boobs had me in agony the whole ( short ) time I was pregnant. So far this time nothing. Should that be something to worry about? Driving myself crazy that it’s a chemical or something so worried x

Thanks for the reply. What a time you’ve been though, so glad it’s smooth so far for you xx
it would put me at circa 6 weeks if I went off my miscarriage bleeding but I’m pretty we actually conceived between 31 Dec -2nd Jan as we DTD quite a bit and I had the ovulation goop, sorry TMI!! Also lines up with the 2-3 on the clear blue x

@Couggstar123 read above that was for you haha xx

@Thenatcheshire if clear blue says 2-3 that makes you roughly 4-5 if I remember correctly. They will probably go by your miscarriage date so don’t be alarmed if you measure behind initially. They will confirm your due date on your 12 week scan anyway. I went for a private scan at 8 weeks just because I was so anxious after what had happened so I had an idea where I was at before the NHS scan. Do you think this is something you would do? If so I would recommend leaving it to 8 weeks if you possibly can. We had an NHS scan to rule out ectopic at 6 weeks (so 4 weeks post ovulation) and there was honestly just a tiny flicker of a heartbeat, no ‘baby’ to be seen at all. And as lovely as it was to see the heartbeat there was no guarantee of seeing one at that stage, we got lucky! Can’t bear to imagine how I would’ve felt if I went earlier and didn’t see that thought.

No such thing as TMI when you are pregnant don’t you worry! 🤣🤣 ❤️
