Just found out I’m pregnant at 26

Hi all, just found out I am pregnant. I’m 26 and have been with my partner for 8 years, brought a house together and renovated etc.

We are super happy but for some reason I am worried about telling work etc due to my age. Silly I know but I just feel so overwhelmed with emotion at the moment.

I was just curious to know how old you were when you became pregnant with your first child?

I’m 26, pregnant with my first and due next month. My GP said she thinks mid 20s is the ideal age to have kids and you seem in a good place relationship and house wise too!

I was 26 but my DH was 32.
In our circles it’s unusual before your early 30’s but people turned a blind eye because DH was the ‘right’ age and we were established financially and practically.

Otherwise I suspect eye brows would have raised.

Does it not bother you to move in such judgemental circles?

I had my first a month after I turned 26, I’m 28 now and due my second in the next few weeks.

Im married, own a home and work in a professional job. Nobody was surprised, they could see we were very much settled.

I had a 9 year old at 26! Finished having my 3 children by aged 24.

Not really.
They’re DH’s circles and he was very much born into them. They’re all either family or his parents friends and their kids who are all DH’s age who all then became friends.

TBH I think DH only has maybe 2/3 friends he hasn’t known since birth.
