Hi everyone,
I suffered a mmc back in May at 8 weeks and this was a traumatic experience as you can imagine. Nevertheless as I have just turned 42 I thought I didn't really have the time to wait too long before trying again. Last Monday after no show for my period I found out to my great surprise that I am pregnant again.
Needless to say I am very very anxious about it as the trauma is still fresh and I have barely any symptoms apart from a bit of a metallic taste in the mouth.. I would be interested to know for those of you who managed to fall pregnant quickly after mc whether it was a success in the end or whether it ended as well in an mc. They say that 2 mc in a row is pretty rare but I am not convinced.

Hi @TTCbaby2023 - my early scan is next week, and I’m still very low on symptoms! EPU didn’t want to scan me until 8 weeks so they could hopefully give me a definitive answer either way, rather than worry me more by not finding anything x

@Jessica1782 I hope it all goes well for you next week!!
I would love to have a scan but at the same time terrified about the outcome so I will probably skip it... at least for now.

Not the op but I had two miscarriages last year at 10 weeks. The last was in December, I convinced straight afterwards and am now nearly 22 weeks.
I had hyperemesis with my two miscarriages and with my daughter in 2020 but barely any in this pregnancy. In fact I've barely felt pregnant. It has been disconcerting!

Thanks for the reply @Superscientist congratulations on your latest and good luck with the rest! So I've had 2 MC in the last 5 months currently just reaching 5 weeks. I got 2-3 weeks from 12dpo (only tested as I suddenly had a few symptoms) my boobs were agony but each day they've eased off apart from morning and night. I have the odd twinge here and there but apart from that I feel almost back to normal apart from getting knackered very quickly from doing little in the gym. I have an early scan next Thursday when I will be 5+4 just because my lack of symptoms is what caused me to MC last time.... although I bled both times before heavily and so far fingers crossed I haven't. I know they won't see much at that point but they said they'd take bloods if it's too early.

Good to know you've had no sickness. I didn't in either of my previous losses but then again it may have been too early and I've never really been one to be sick at the worst of times.

Not the OP but was in an identical position. MMC April 2023, pregnant again June, complete lack of symptoms which I found so stressful. Sickness did kick in but a bit later, maybe 8 weeks or so. She’s now my 14 month old DD ❤

I had a MMC in July at 8 weeks, normal cycle August and September, fell pregnant again in October. Now 35 (nearly 36!) weeks, no issues do far. Good luck!

I don't know about my first loss but the second miscarriage ended between 8 and 9 weeks but the pregnancy never developed past 6 weeks. I suspect the same was the case for the first loss as the losses were similar.
After the first loss I qualified for scans at the rainbow room at my hospital I had two scans their, one at 7.5 weeks which showed the pregnancy to be 10 days behind. The repeat scan two weeks later showed a little growth but now no heartbeat. I was the switched to the epu for a final scan week later conformity the loss. I started bleeding the night before the scan and passed the pregnancy the next day.

This time around I was over 7 weeks when I found out I was pregnant, no period between pregnancies. I had my HCG measured at the epu which was very high and scan the next day showed I was already 8 weeks so better than I think I managed with the previous two pregnancies. I was started on progesterone which I took until 16 weeks.
