Oh my god! I'm addicted to crisps I can't stop, had this craving throughout but now I'm 8 months I'm still going, especially salt & vinegar.... what's your cravings? Or cravings you've had in previous pregnancies, so interested to know!

With both of my pregnancies I craved those little clementines. I would eat nearly a whole net of them in one sitting 😅 but I got GD at 28 weeks with both so I could no longer eat them without mynl sugar levels spiking 😭 I also craved burnt cheese, like when it goes really crispy under the grill 🤣

Roundandnettledr · 01/08/2023 21:47

I craved chewing sponges

emlouba · 01/08/2023 21:57

Apples 🍎 😂

caringcarer · 01/08/2023 22:00

Fish with DD1 (and chips)
Steak and kidney pie with DS1
Roast chicken with DS2

And Maltesers with all pregnancies.

Sealover123 · 19/01/2024 22:24

Grapefruits, oranges, clementines, tinned peaches and mandarins. Freshly squeezed orange juice. Chocolates with fruit creams inside.

chickensadsikky · 20/01/2024 08:37

I was oranges, olives and extra mature cheese ! I used to dream about eating these when I was pregnant 😂

sanityisamyth · 20/01/2024 08:42

Wasn't a craving as such - more medicinal - but I drank gallons of milkshake as it was the only thing that stopped the heartburn/reflux symptoms.

LizzeyBenett · 20/01/2024 11:24

Fruit all the fruit and miwadi summer fruits don't think I've ever drank as much water I need ice water with miwadi in it constantly. I'm 18 weeks and that craving isn't going anywhere .

eatdrinkandbemerry · 20/01/2024 11:26

Ice pops 🤣 at least 30 a day with two of my pregnancies.
And the third I couldn't get enough of cold tomato soup with Arun of green beans added 🤣.
I've never eaten any of these things before or after 🤮

Inmydreams88 · 20/01/2024 15:14

I had no cravings whatsoever.

From week 6 to around week 18 I had bad nausea and sickness so I hardly ate and had lots of food aversions.

Then when I started to feel better I used to get extreme hunger where I just wanted to eat and eat. I can’t say I had any specific cravings though I just ate what I normally ate but a lot more.

weegiemum · 20/01/2024 16:33

With dd1 my dh caught me in the kitchen making a sandwich. I put on it what I fancied at the time, so wholemeal bread with seedy bits, thick layer of mayonnaise and cold baked beans!!

Other one was chips with lots of salt. Preferably for breakfast!!

glasshalffull0 · 20/01/2024 16:38

Fizzy drinks with loads of ice mmmmmm

DreadPirateRobots · 20/01/2024 16:39

Just FYI if you have pica, i.e. strong urges or cravings, for non-food items then you should see a doctor, because it often indicates a nutrient deficiency of some sort.

With my first pregnancy it was veggie hot dogs with barbecue sauce. In both pregnancies, Chicken McNuggets. Most of my waking thoughts which were not about sleep, sex, or something happening to DH were about Chicken McNuggets.

MrsB2019x · 20/01/2024 19:27

Anything beige, but mostly macaroni and cheese from a packet and potato waffles

Puzzlepart · 20/01/2024 19:31

Ice.
crushed ice.
ice cubes.
i would eat a bag in the morning and a bag at night. Ended up buying bags because my ice cube trays didn’t freeze fast enough.
McDonald’s drive through… large cup of ice..

Apparently this is due to severe iron deficiency I’ve since read.
Absolutely no one, not one single HCP picked up on this or checked my iron levels.
It’s very well recognised.

NWnature · 20/01/2024 19:34

In terms of things I wouldn’t usually eat when not pregnant:
Warburtons toastie toast with butter
cheese strings
squash with ice
lemonade
mcdonalds
sweet and sour chicken

Also love satsumas, apple&cheddar together

NWnature · 20/01/2024 19:35

This thread is making me hungry!!

ChachiChichi · 20/01/2024 19:36

Pancakes with Nutella and raspberries!

Horseskeepmesane · 20/01/2024 19:45

daughter- baked beans and cheese on toast, cold orange juice again, obsessed with cleaning products!!

TheCave · 20/01/2024 19:48

First pregnancy: egg mayo sandwiches
Second pregnancy: ice. That child absolutely loves water and doesn't go far without a water bottle.

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 20/01/2024 20:36

my craving in this pregnancy was donner kebab meat 😂 and I'm having a girl 😂

1st son - spicy space invaders & cheap 35p energy drinks
2nd son - fried egg sandwiches with brown sauce
3rd son - didn't really have a craving tbh just ate anything 😂
4th son - snickers ice-cream bars from iceland, anything sweet really but had GD with him so no surprise 😂

Puzzlepart · 01/07/2023 10:03

Ice. Crunchy ice
ice by the bag because I couldn’t freeze freezer trays quickly enough.

Ice also. Both times. I had three ice cube trays on rotation and they couldn't make it quick enough. I actually broke the freezer my first pregnancy with my constant opening and closing of the door, and we had to eat all the meals i had batch cooked for when the baby was born.

daisybe · 20/01/2024 20:42

Satsumas. Easy peelers and now pineapple. Ate an 800g packet within half a day!

Fruit in general to be honest. I tend to have at least 2 peelers, an apple, a pear and something else.

SilverSimca · 20/01/2024 20:45

nancy2022 · 01/07/2023 13:50

I didn't have a single craving with both. Is it scientifically proven or just a myth?

Pregnancy number one I was going round telling people I "craved" spag bol. I knew cravings were a thing,I very much fancied having spg bol, and thought that was a craving.
Once I was further into the pregnancy and the ice craving hit, my God I knew what a craving actually was and that quite fancying a spag bol was not it. So I think it does exist.

maureeeen · 20/01/2024 20:52

With DD1 it was prawn cocktail crisps and freezing cold Evian water (nothing else would cut it).
With DD2 it was fruit and usually I'd take a huge bowl of chopped fruit to bed with me because at 11.30 every night I'd need it
