Oh my god! I'm addicted to crisps I can't stop, had this craving throughout but now I'm 8 months I'm still going, especially salt & vinegar.... what's your cravings? Or cravings you've had in previous pregnancies, so interested to know!

@sommeliermama how funny! Yeah the caffeine free stuff doesn't hit the spot in the same way. I'm having a boy though!

user5001withabun · 01/07/2023 09:55

Olives, extra mature cheddar and naval oranges- all by the absolute lorry load! I had a girl 👧

Mamoun · 01/07/2023 09:57

Maztek · 01/07/2023 10:01

Had the same cravings and aversions with both of mine, boy and a girl.

Puzzlepart · 01/07/2023 10:03

Ice. Crunchy ice
ice by the bag because I couldn’t freeze freezer trays quickly enough.

Anoushkaka · 01/07/2023 10:04

DD1 - Fruit and orange juice
DD2- Lucozade with ice, chips with cheese and mayo and curry chips
DS- Meat and milk

Covidiokilledtheradiostar · 01/07/2023 10:08

I didn’t think I had any with DS1 but looking back it was cheese and onion walkers crips (don’t like them now or before that) and scotch eggs but had to be the very specific scotch egg they sold in the cafe at work no other ones tasted the same

Covidiokilledtheradiostar · 01/07/2023 10:09

Ds2 it was Garlic stuffed olives or the mixed olives in dressing from Asda. I lived off those

winteriscoming2022 · 01/07/2023 10:13

Cockles with the first pregnancy. We lived 10 miles from the town with a supermarket and I didn't drive. I can recall DH having to drive when he got home from work at around 7pm. Once I had the cockles in the basket I ate them while still in the supermarket, it was like being an addict

Muu · 01/07/2023 10:15

Fruit
Cheese
Salami 😑

NewAnon · 01/07/2023 10:23

Cheerios. Strawberries. And M&S plain ham sandwiches.

I had a complete aversion to any kind of green veg, it just tasted like dirt.

daisiesyellow · 01/07/2023 10:33

Carpet 😅

Misspotterscat · 01/07/2023 10:33

I’m only 10 weeks and feel like I’ve already gone through several craving phases. To begin with it was pickled beetroot. At the moment its lemonade and ice pops.

Clementineorsatsuma · 01/07/2023 10:40

Liquorice every time!

DiscoStusMoonboots · 01/07/2023 12:58

At the moment, I'm all about the beige buffet (think kids' party foods 80s style). I can't keep a lot down, but sour sweets or Mini Cheddars before an attempt at a meal sometimes help.

Roselilly36 · 01/07/2023 13:37

DS1 honeydew melon
DS2 broccoli

MrsMoastyToasty · 01/07/2023 13:48

For me it was cornettos, the mint ones. It was a long hot summer too and DS was born in June.
My vegan friend craved (but resisted) bacon sandwiches.

nancy2022 · 01/07/2023 13:50

I didn't have a single craving with both. Is it scientifically proven or just a myth?

mummam28 · 01/07/2023 13:59

Apples! Apple juice. Appletizer. Give me allllll the apples 🤣 🍏

springtome · 01/07/2023 21:00

With my first it was cheese and onion pasties, especially Greggs ones. I remember waking past a shop and having a very fleeting thought 'if that shop was shut I would break in just to get a pasty' 😂

With my second it was mushy peas the cake, like shop bought birthday cake with jam and cream and fondant icing. Neither were a strong a need as the cheese and onion pasty though.

This time around I seem to have cravings for a week and then gonna to something new. So at the moment I have a pack of wotsits in the cupboard that have been there since I went off them overnight at about 9 weeks. Pickled onions and gherkins, which i had to have on a daily basis, with every meal, sitting the in fridge from when I went off them at about 15 weeks. At the moment it's dairy, peach yogurts, cold milk, milk on cereal, cheese, you name it, I want it!

Surlaplage · 01/07/2023 22:21

I had no cravings for food when I was pregnant. However when I was pregnant with my first, I had the weirdest craving to watch the news. I couldn't get enough of current affairs and would ask my husband all about politics. I downloaded an app to learn the capital city of every country in the world! I could have sat glued to the news all day. I can't describe it but every time the news came on I felt all 'oooh this is exactly what I'm in the mood for!' Never cared for the news before or after that baby.

With baby number two, I developed another weird brain thing where I would get really vivid flashbacks of incredibly dull things, like walking to school when I was 15, or pipping into pur local shop for a tube of Polo mints when I was 10. This didn't go away after I had the baby and still happens me all the time. I call it the 'memory centrifuge' because it feels like random memories are fired to the front of my brain with centrifugal force!

Nothing to report with baby number 3!

IVFfirsttimer91 · 01/08/2023 20:18

Onion bhajis with bbq sauce are my favourite food of all time at the moment. I dream about them too. I too am off plain water, It’s started tasting really weird and it’s a shame as I love water usually!

Cheetocat · 01/08/2023 20:33

Apple juice
Orange juice
