Hot chocolate pregnant

Ladies what is your go to hot chocolate whilst pregnant?? I tried the caburys instant but it’s not how I remembered it (must be the new tastebuds😂)

Mine is the options chocolate orange 👌

Just get cocoa powder and sugar. All the branded ones are full of crap - thickeners, potato starch, emulsifiers, milk powder... Eben the posh ones. There should be two ingredients on the label really and it tastes so much nicer!

Costa hot chocolate powder is lovely! Vegan friendly too if you're avoiding dairy for whatever reason.

I like the clippers instant hot chocolate, the best instant I have tried. I am also using the M&S drinking chocolate at the minute which is very good!

You need drinking chocolate (with milk) rather than hot chocolate (with water).

Cadbury is horrible now - so sickly. I second M&S drinking chocolate. Think I've probably had one a day through this pregnancy.

I usually go for options but I would definitely NOT recommend the Galaxy Gingerbread one if things like that take your fancy. It's not good!

White options is yum and all flavours on offer at waitrose at the moment.

That's all very well, but when you're exhausted and want hot chocolate quickly, then it's good to know which instant types are decent!

I used to get the vegan options hot choc but tbh at £4.50 a tub I don't think I'll be bothering much anymore!

Malteasers hot chocolate has seen me through the last few weeks of my pregnancy.

Scoop(s) of Nutella and hot milk or grated chocolate bar in hot milk are both handy ways of making hot chocolate if you haven't got any of the powder!

Lidl deluxe is really good, almost between milk and dark so not too sweet and proper chocolatey

😂no, you should only eat organic vegetables you grew yourself. of course you can eat sugary things in pregnancy. just like at any other time in life, everything in moderation.

Cocoa powder and sugar is pretty instant! Just add to hot milk

I have tried loads of different ones and have come to the conclusion a heaped teaspoon of cocoa and a heaped teaspoon of sugar with hot milk is the best.
I warm the milk up in a little saucepan on the hob and mix in the cocoa and sugar once it's hot.
The whole process takes less than 5 minutes. Yes - you may end up with some little lumps of cocoa that won't dissolve perfectly, but it doesn't matter.
