IVF success stories with no symptoms in the 2ww?!

Afternoon all 😊

I am 4dp3dt so I know implantation if it happens will do so today or tomorrow.

I know the odds are hugely against me, I’m old, it was a day 3 transfer, it’s only our first time.

But I would love to hear some lovely success stories of IVF that worked despite no implantation pains, feelings or scratching or burrowing etc! I feel so utterly normal today, even my boobs haven’t been sore for the past 48 hours…

thank you! 🄰

Hiya,
I had zero symptoms so had written it off completely. I also had a bit of spotting the night before test day so really had written it off. Got the best surprise the following morning and am currently 24 weeks pregnant. I was seeing a fertility coach at the time for someone to speak to and she constantly told me not to symptom spot as at such early days there wouldn’t be any - how true she was.
wishing you all the best xx

Cakecakecheese · 08/10/2022 17:24

I had no symptoms, was convinced I was out as I wasn't feeling anything and was rather surprised when I got a positive test. Baby is now 10 weeks old.

Turnoffthelight · 08/10/2022 17:26

I had no symptoms and was convinced it hadn’t worked. She’s now 3 :)

NoNameChangeRequired · 08/10/2022 17:34

Zero symptoms until the night before official test day, 14 days post transfer, when my boobs were suddenly sore and swollen…now a teenager.

Snugglemonkey · 08/10/2022 17:34

33 weeks pregnant, had no early symptoms. Last time it worked, I spotted from day 5, then bled so much I thought it was my period on day 10.

Blossom45 · 08/10/2022 17:57

If it helps, when I had IVF I had lots of symptoms and it didn’t work, so I wouldn’t get too hung up on having no symptoms. Equally, when I did get pregnant (amazingly, naturally after 4 years and failed fertility treatment), I was convinced my period was on its way as I had all the normal pre-period feelings. Wishing you all the very best!

I had my one and only round of IVF at age 40 and it was successful. I had no implantation or early pregnancy symptoms at all. I even tested early in order to ā€˜prepare myself’ for the disappointment I was going to feel on official test day. In those early weeks if it wasn’t for my scan photos I wouldn’t have believed I was pregnant. I had a smooth pregnancy despite it being classed as high risk, an incredibly quick, natural birth and I’m now blessed with the most calm and caring child. I really do hope everything works out for you. šŸ’

I had a 5 day transfer with my IVF. I felt absolutely and totally normal the first few weeks. I had my positive test, OTD came and went and I was only a few days out from my scan at the clinic. I'd also had some bleeding so I'd assumed the worst of course. Then I woke up the morning before my scan thinking I had a stomach bug. Morning sickness hit me like a TRAIN. Felt god awful from that point on and my beautiful one year old IVF miracle is currently snoozing in bed.
I made a lot of connections with other people going through IVF at the time and out of the 30-35 people, only one mentioned any sort of symptom before test day!
Wishing you all the very best of luck. It's one hell of a journey!

Decaffe · 08/10/2022 20:24

Aww thanks all, these are lovely ā¤ļø Did any of you have a day 3 transfer?

Scarlett868 · 08/10/2022 22:04

Hi - I had a 3 day transfer and I felt nothing until around 7dpt after which was like period pains and I tested 8dpt days post transfer which was negative. I then had a tiny amount of spotting a couple of days later, which I only noticed as it was on my progesterone applicator.
Was pretty sure period was coming and then on official test day (11dpt) I had my bloods done and unbelievably found I was pregnant.
4dpt is still so early so try and usher it out of your head for now! Best of luck xxxx

PMAmostofthetime · 09/10/2022 00:06

@Decaffe the only symptoms I had were from progesterone and some of those were intermittent, no implantation pains.

I tested positive 9dp5dt.

Currently a cautiously optimistic 14+3.

Good luck- try and find something to distract you or you will drive yourself insane.

Mine was second full cycle that I got BFP.

First transfer failed with no Frosties x

Decaffe · 10/10/2022 15:39

Thanks everyone. Can't deny I'm feeling glum today. I have been on the conception boards for so long and they're full of posts about the 'pinching / pulling / burrowing / scratching' symptoms that a few days later result in a BFP. Not over here. I feel completely normal, as I have in every other TWW, that I have already started planning out the clinic dates for my next round in my work diary!

PMAmostofthetime · 10/10/2022 22:34

@Decaffe I have only just started having pulling pains at nearly 15 weeks.

Don't rule yourself out yet. How many days past transfer are you? X

Aranciata · 10/10/2022 23:41

You're a braver woman than me hanging around the Conception boards while doing IVF!!
Even if you have symptoms it could be the progesterone. Good luck with OTD.

Why is it brave? I’ve been on the Conception boards for a couple of years now. There are some long running IVF/infertility threads in Conception, and the Infertility board doesn’t get much traffic.

@Decaffe firstly I too was on the conception board and did IVF for years ? So ignore that comment. šŸ™„

And I had none of those sensations in my 2ww when I was doing ivf so try not to compare - worst thing you can do. Sending positive vibes x

Actually - this is in the Pregnancy board. Did you mean it was brave of me to go on this board while doing IVF? Why? If I am looking for success stories then… surely Pregnancy is the board to go to? Gosh didn’t realise I had to hide away in an Infertile corner of Mumsnet..!

@PMAmostofthetime this morning I am 7 days post 3 day transfer, 10dpo in other words.

Hey! I had no symptoms AT ALL! I I tested really early (6dpt) out of frustration and got a positive, (although this could be because I had twins) (was also our second rou d for context). Everybody is so different. I myself compared everything in my TTC journey with others and continued to do so through this pregnancy. But really, we are all on our paths so try not to worry too much....I know, I know...easier said than done šŸ˜‰! I will keep everything crossed for you xx

Aranciata · 11/10/2022 09:13

@Decaffe I didn't mean to upset you by that comment, I meant I personally used to find the Conception boards difficult being on threads where everyone else was getting pregnant or complaining about waiting 3/4 months, I had avoided them for the past few years. I didn't know there were IVF threads on there too as the monthly buses just about finished me off so I scuttled off to Infertility.

I had many cycles of IVF over the years and finally do have a baby so do have a positive story too. I meant progesterone can feel like pregnancy symptoms, so lack of symptoms doesn't have to mean anything, don't read into how you're feeling. Even if you've had previous cycles, you just don't know until you test. Hope you get those two lines when you do. šŸ’

PMAmostofthetime · 11/10/2022 23:22

@Decaffe I tested at 9DP5DT on my failed cycle I had had period paint 7dp5dt and my period started 7DP5DT.

I thought those pains were in plantation on my successful cycle I had no pains at all.

Good Luck, please keep us updated.
Sorry if you have already said-
Is this your first cycle?
X

Mamai90 · 12/10/2022 03:01

I had no symptoms at all with either of my pregnancies until after a positive test so one IVF pregnancy and one natural. With my IVF pregnancy the day before test day I told my DH we were 100% out.

Misty999 · 12/10/2022 03:34

No symptoms here

monkeyupsidedown · 12/10/2022 12:27

Zero symptoms. First symptom wasn't until 8 weeks when nausea set in. I was first convinced that I wasn't pregnant and afterwards that it wasn't viable. She's almost two and trying to climb the table as I write this.

SamSheers · 19/10/2022 21:57

I had no symptoms of implantation as such. In fact I was convinced my period was coming as I had mild period cramps but that's all. It's also my first round of IVF and we had a day 3 transfer as only one embryo made it to day 3 and they felt it would have a better shot in me than waiting till day 5 transfer. Looks like they were right because we got our BFP 13dp3dt :) really hope you get some good news xxx

Nikster8012 · 29/11/2022 09:29

@Decaffe any news ?? Sorry to jump in nut just started following as in EXACTLY the same boat as when the post was written.
Yep, zero symptoms. I am old. First cycle. One egg, one shot. Looked healthy mind
I am currently 5days post TWO day transfer. They popped it back in quickly as only one shot.
I had better follicles before the meds hahha sods law.
Feel great. Feeling positive and happy. All the odds and the stats are against me..... BUT, I am still here..... would live to hear from anyone else maybe ?? I really hope OP had success x
