I've definitely missed people, but hoping I've got everyone who's been active recently. Apologies if not!

@Holskey @LemonyT @RiverRiot Thanks thats reassuring. I should have asked midwife when they called back to make the booking appointment but didn't think about it at the time! I'm just conscious of getting them to check my SCH has resolved, and decide if my cervix is going to cope or not, earlier rather than later if possible.

@TeddyTonks We're in a pretty small council area, that has different midwife teams for different areas, so hopefully not too busy? I don't really know to be honest. They phoned back pretty quickly when I contacted them to ask for a booking in appointment.

JAR1981 · 30/01/2022 17:59

Thanks for the tag @Holskey.

We’ve been away the past few days in the Cotswolds then the New Forest. So so nice to have been off work! Lots of walking and eating done. Little one seems to be growing and fairly active now at 22 weeks. Now idea how much weight I’ve gained though, I don’t own any scales!

Congrats to all of you that have had recent scans.

MrsC2018 · 30/01/2022 19:50

Do you mind if I join? I've just had a positive pregnancy test and am 6+2. This isn't an IVF pregnancy but I've had 6 IVF rounds so feel much more comfortable with you guys than a normal pregnancy thread I think! Only just found out this afternoon as I'm terrified of tests so took my period being 2.5 weeks late and me chucking my guts up for 2 days before I gave in 😂
Booked a scan to check that I'm not dreaming for Tuesday. Just praying that this is really real and I will actually get my baby in September ♥️

becarefuloutthere · 30/01/2022 20:36

@MrsC2018 you're defo in good company. Congratulations 🥳 and best of luck for the scan on Tuesday! X

Etonmess20 · 30/01/2022 20:59

@MrsC2018 congratulations, bet you're over the moon! Got everything crossed for you for Tuesday!

@becarefuloutthere you can't have long left now.....!!!

Monday55 · 30/01/2022 21:53

Thanks for the new thread, looking forward to all the updates.

Holskey · 30/01/2022 22:46

@MrsC2018 Congratulations! I remember your story so it's lovely to see you're pregnant ❤ There's a few of us from the IVF/FET Oct thread that you were on. You're absolutely welcome here 🙂 That must have been such a surprise!

becarefuloutthere · 31/01/2022 08:44

@Etonmess20 37 weeks tomorrow and the first sweep is booked in for 39+1 eek 😬 last week of work finally too. I'm knackered 😩
How are you lovely?

MrsC2018 · 31/01/2022 10:31

Thanks ladies ♥️
@Holskey thanks, I recognise a few names from that thread, so pleased that things progressed for you all. Do you know what you're having? Pregnancy is so scary and exciting!

I'm still in absolute shock and I'm not sure what to believe until I have the scan tomorrow I guess. I feel very lucky

Etonmess20 · 31/01/2022 13:30

@becarefuloutthere oh my life that's so scary, I remember your BFP!!! Congratulations on last week at work though, I'm 26 weeks this week & already counting down 😂
Not too bad thank you, how's things with you otherwise?

becarefuloutthere · 31/01/2022 13:44

@Etonmess20 aww sweet of you to remember! Think I was the first on the guys thread wasn't I. Ooh so not actually too far behind me then. I really liked the second trimester as you look pregnant rather than fat (well in my case anyway 😂) and the bumps all neat and you feel quite nice. Third trimester is quite tiring! I'm ok tho thanks. Just wish she'd stop bouncing on my bladder day and night 😩

Etonmess20 · 31/01/2022 15:43

@becarefuloutthere yeah you were the first one I remember & I always remember the confusion around due dates & thinking we may have a valentines baby!
3rd trimester sounds delightful 😂 I did have a 2nd trimester burst of energy but it's long gone now & am back to being obsessively hungry!
Have you got everything ready for baby's arrival or is there a bit more left to get?

becarefuloutthere · 31/01/2022 16:17

@Etonmess20 ah yes, little Romeo wasn't it 😂
Oh it's a peach alright! 🤪 Ah yes, the hunger! I had to have two dinners just to see me through 😆
Still need to pack my hospital bag 🙈 and Dh needs to assemble the rocking chair and next2me cot and think we're all set 😬 oh actually there's a few bits for the nursery still like put up shelves but obvs that can wait. Do you get a 28 week scan?

Holskey · 31/01/2022 22:53

@MrsC2018 We found out a couple of weeks ago we're expecting a girl (I'm 18 weeks now). I already have a boy so I'm very lucky. Still feels unreal to go from super infertile to one of each within a couple of years 🥰 Good luck tomorrow - I hope your scan is lovely and reassuring ❤

@becarefuloutthere not long to go now 😁 How exciting!

OP posts:
Etonmess20 · 01/02/2022 08:28

@becarefuloutthere yes baby Romeo!!!
Haha I'm so hungry all the time it's a joke 😂
Sounds like you're about there then really although hospital bag seems like a mammoth task to me - hopefully it's just worse in my head!
We're having extra scans at 28,32 & 36 purely for being IVF (no other risk factors). Did you have extra scans too? Is your sweep earlier than they would typically offer btw?

paintfairy · 01/02/2022 08:34

I can't believe how fast it goes really. You spend 400 years trying to get pregnant so I suppose 9 months is nothing in comparison. 🤭 It'll be exciting when babies are being born on here! @becarefuloutthere i cannot believe its so near now for you!

MrsC2018 · 01/02/2022 09:36

@Holskey that's lovely news, obviously every pregnancy is a gift but it's lovely to have one of each for sure!

@becarefuloutthere I love packing the hospital bag, I obsessively pack and unpack from 28 weeks and google lists and cross reference them to check what I'm missing. Best thing I was told was to put the outfits in little ziplock bags so you have vest, sleepsuit, nappy immediately to hand without rooting through your bag. I also like everything to be matching so didn't want husband or midwife having the opportunity to put the wrong vests and sleepsuits together 🙈 check in here for more ridiculous tips 😂

I'm trying my best to not throw up in front of my teenager who didn't twig last time but I just feel so ill, for once it's probably a good thing he avoids us at all costs!

Etonmess20 · 01/02/2022 09:52

@MrsC2018 you sound like my type of lady, I will be back for tips 😍

MrsC2018 · 01/02/2022 10:05

@Etonmess20 I am ridiculous but I manage my anxiety by organisation and feeling in control!

Another top tip I was given for when baby's here, make up nappy stations for the rooms where you'll change their bum. It's just a plastic basket with nappies, cream and wipes but if they're quickly to hand, then you're not searching when baby has poo from their ankles to their hairline (true story!) 🤦‍♀️

notsofertilemyrtle · 01/02/2022 13:22

Hi everyone! Loving reading how everyone's doing ☺️
I'm a bit wonky today. I'm 11 weeks and was revelling in feeling slowly more human since last week...I think from about 9+5. All day nausea was gone, much milder anyway.

This morning, I was toasting some bread after a cup of tea when I got that horrible taste (dysguesia?) And thought nothing of it, then started heaving and threw up in my kitchen sink!

Has anyone else been sick for the first time later in 1st Tri? Praying it's a one-off event and not the start of things to come. I really loathe sickness.

becarefuloutthere · 01/02/2022 13:42

@Holskey eek I know! 3 weeks today until due date but she might come before then if the sweeps are a success 🤞🏾yay for having a girl, one of each is awesome!
@Etonmess20 😆 the hunger is unreal right!
It's mammoth to me too which is why I keep putting it off 🙈 silly of me really. Defo gonna do it this weekend and get my sister to critique it on Monday 😉
Yeah that's what my hospital in London said too re the scans and then I moved to bucks and the local midwife was like oh you don't need those! Turns out I did once I finally got to see a consultant so I missed out on 28 weeks but did get one at 30 and again at 36. I think my sweep is about bang on as they don't like you going over 40 weeks really. Induction is booked for 40+1 if the sweeps don't work. I'm not keen but even with the small stillborn chance, we're going for it!
@paintfairy crazy right!! Finally tho eh!
@MrsC2018 yes my midwife said about the ziplock things too so must get some of those at the weekend! I love matching too so I'll defo be making a point to Dh on that 😜
At what point will you be telling your teen then? Will he be shocked?
I got a nappy caddy for my baby shower on sat and a wedge changing mat so they're staying downstairs so that there's two changing stations. 😃
@notsofertilemyrtle yep me! I was sick at 12 weeks and again at 16. Didn't stop feeling sick until about 16 weeks sadly. Could be a one off but prepare for more just in case...

strawberrysummer19 · 01/02/2022 13:42

Hi everyone

Nice to see updates from people.

I have a gender scan booked for a couple of weeks time! So excited x

Still haven't had my screening bloods results back yet and I had my 12 week scan 2 weeks tomorrow? Anyone else waited this long?

X

Etonmess20 · 01/02/2022 13:52

@becarefuloutthere that's good to know, our we won't see consultant again until 36 weeks unless there's problems picked up at the scans but I'm expecting we'll be similar to you in that we won't be left to go over. I personally am happy about that tbh as, like you say, it's not worth the risk (even if it's tiny)

@strawberrysummer19 I'd call the hospital tomorrow if I was you. I received my edwards & pataus one fairly quickly but they'd incorrectly recorded me as not wanting the Downs syndrome test so I would never have received that result had I not chased it. It's probably just postal delays but worth a call I'd say

strawberrysummer19 · 01/02/2022 14:04

@Etonmess20 they said my results go to my midwife so do you think it's worth checking with her ? X

Donimo · 01/02/2022 14:05

@strawberrysummer19 does your midwife team use Badger online notes? As I've not received my results in the post but they are on my Badger notes.
