17 Weeks Low Amniotic Fluid

Hi feel really broken today just wanted to see if anyone been in similar position.

Was gifted a private gender scan by my friends once I told them of my pregnancy which was today.

But at the scan the sonographer confirmed heart beat but also confirmed very low amniotic fluid. Off the record he told me the risks of such low amniotic fluid but said I need to contact midwife asap. When I told midwife she was very concerned and has arranged for me to see fetal medicine consultant on Tuesday but my anxiety has gone through the roof. Her advice was to stay hydrated and rest until than but I'm in shock can't stop crying and fearing the worst. If anyone can share any information on this it will be much appreciated. Thank you

Not doing very well I'm due in hospital tomorrow for the rest of the medical termination. Feel totally broken but numb and exhausted and unbelievable sad if all those feelings are even possible.

You’ll be feeling all different types of emotion, it will be so hard to process what’s actually happening, have the hospital explained what will happen tomorrow x

Had a call from the bereavement ward today the midwife explained what to expect etc she just said though given previous history and csection to be prepared for it the process to take longer than it might normally do as they will space the medication out over the course of day etc. I explained my anxiety regarding leaving my ds as we ha e never left etc and she said she can give a special pass at discretion of the midwife in charge so he can come and go to see ds if needed for settling or administering his medications without the need for constant covid testing etc and for dh to park in carpark and they would provide a slip so he would be exempt from charges. They have been so helpful in terms of ds so hopefully ds will be ok.

I feel like I go through so many emotions every 5 minutes it a horrible unnerving experience.

Hello this is a private scan at 18 weeks. Mu fluid looks a lot lower than at 15 weeks. Does anyone think it looks too low? He looks very squished :(

@Coley1993 the medically trained sonographer would presumably have said something if there was a problem
