Is it okay to use an external vibrator? I've read conflicting things online

As long as it's clean and you haven't been told to abstain from sex etc it's absolutely fine

The advice is always not pregnant women because to prove something is safe you'd need a clinical trial examining whether something harms pregnant women, and no one will find that. Studying the impact of things in real world conditions is hard because you have to allow for a lot of other factors.

You just have to use your common sense sometimes!

Realistically you are not prevented from having sex so penetration is not an issue, I guess the real question comes from the vibrations so if you are worried don't turn it on

Of course it's okay. Do wash any toys before use to minimise infection risks, good idea to pee before and soon after too. UTI's are not nice.

It's fine. The "risk" is from orgasm which can potentially cause contractions. But those contractions aren't strong enough to do anything. it's perfectly fine to have as many orgasms in pregnancy as you like unless you've specifically been told to avoid sex on medical advice.
