Hi, currently 5 weeks pregnant and a paranoid mess thanks to 2 previous miscarriages. First was a MMC.
I can't say I have any symptoms. I thought I was weeing more before my period and could smell things slightly more but now I don't really feel like I have any symptoms.
I'm taking baby aspirin and progesterone and have an early scan booked in for 16th august with EPU.
I guess I'm seeking some reassurance that people have gone onto have successful scans/ pregnancies when not feeling pregnant as such??

@dg93 so glad to hear everything is going well.
It really does!
I feel slightly easier now I have seen a little heartbeat. I cried like a baby when they showed. I don't think it will ever completely relax til I'm holding our baby but when they start moving and kicking, I think that will give me the daily reassurance I need.
X

Hey @LadyBird2020 great news you had a good scan yesterday xxx

LadyBird2020 · 17/08/2021 20:07

@MrsS89K thank you so much! I've honestly never been so happy.
They took so long doing the scan and ended up having an internal as I have a tilted womb, I thought it was going to be bad news.
I think it only sunk in this morning at 4.30 when I couldn't get back to sleep and just kept picturing that little flickering heartbeat x

I feel you, whenever they tell me they are going to do an internal, I panic. Seeing that little flickering heartbeat, no matter how small it is, is amazing ❤️

I have my first scan tomorrow 🤞🏼 Got to go alone as my partner is working and safe to say I am shitting it! After 4 pregnancy losses you know to expect the worst, but it doesn’t stop you getting your hopes up 🙈

Raindrop25 · 17/08/2021 20:26

Congratulations on your successes!

I got my positive on Saturday and I worked out I am 4 weeks, and symptom wise I have only really had a few cramps on and off which is worrying me a bit, when I don't have them for half an hour I'm wanting them to come back haha! Grin I think my consultant is referring me for an early scan after having a miscarriage and then on fertility treatment to get this far!

Hoping this one sticks but I feel so anxious that it's hard to actually feel excited!!

With DS I had symptoms before my period was late but with DD I had nothing and was convinced that I wasn’t pregnant so didn’t even test before I was a week late. Suddenly at 6 weeks the sickness and fatigue hit me like a ton of bricks though. Don’t panic, 5/40 is still v early. Wishing you all the best.

Bebazpba · 17/08/2021 20:31

Hello, im just like you, I don't really have any symptoms. It really makes me anxious. I can't wait for bum to appearSmile

LadyBird2020 · 18/08/2021 08:33

@MrsS89K it is so nerve wracking.
Good luck with your scan today. I hope everything goes well. ❤️

@Raindrop25 congratulations! It is so hard to relax after losses.
I definitely feel more comfortable now I've seen a heartbeat but still counting down the days to my 8 week scan. Want to see that little flicker again.
Good luck with your journey. Hopefully now is your time x

@jamsandwich1 thank you!
The tiredness is kicking in. I've fallen asleep on the sofa every night for the last week but then awake so early. My boobs are starting to feel tender now too. X

@Bebazpba yeah, I can't wait for a proper bump and feeling the baby move. After losses these first 12 weeks are the most nerve wracking! The innocence of pregnancy is lost after miscarriages x

@LadyBird2020 thanks for the good luck message. It didn’t go amazing but it didn’t go awful I guess. They think they could see the beginning of a fetal pole forming and possibly a little flickering which could be a heartbeat? But I’m worried there should have been more as I’m 6 weeks today 🙈 so I’m onto another 2 week wait now 🤞🏼

LadyBird2020 · 18/08/2021 19:56

@MrsS89K 6 weeks is still really early and you can't always see a heartbeat at that stage.
I have spoken to people before who have had the same thing and gone back in 2 weeks and see that little heartbeat flickering away.
I was measuring 6+6 and the flicker was diddy!
Try and keep positive! Easier said than done I know. Wishing you the luck in the world. I'm sure you'll get good news at the next one xx

Thanks for the positivity and reassurance @LadyBird2020
I have been frantically googling, I am my own worse enermy! I know sometimes a heartbeat isn’t detected at 6 weeks, but I can’t help but read others stories
When’s your next scan? x

LadyBird2020 · 18/08/2021 20:17

@MrsS89K oh, I am the worlds worse for googling things but then think to myself if you put in that you had a headache for more than a day, it would say you've got brain tumour or something ridiculous. So try to stay away from google. At least on mumsnet you have real life experiences. Although every person and pregnancy is different.
My next scan is on the 1st Sept so around 8 weeks. It feels like a long way off x
