Which trimester did you get your covid vaccine?

I know some people are not for having the covid vaccine in pregnancy but for me the pros outweigh the cons (likely none if looking at the study of 90,000 pregnant women in the US who have had no problems after having the jab! 😊)
Just wanted to know what trimester everyone who has had the jab had it in please as I’m trying to make a decision? I am currently in the first trimester xx

I had my first AZ jab just before I got pregnant and then the second at 10 weeks.

GummyBear91 · 27/06/2021 22:43

I had my first last week in my second trimester. My second will be in my third. I didn't have any choice as it was when I was offered it.

I would have opted to have the first a little earlier if I could as my second will be within a few weeks of my due date.

Mwilliams31 · 27/06/2021 22:43

@Anon08 and everything was ok? How many weeks are you now? Congratulations ☺️ X

Second, at 17 and 21 weeks.

Mwilliams31 · 27/06/2021 22:46

Thanks @Garman - no problems I assume? X

First at 17 weeks (I wasn’t going to have it at all but decided the pros outweighed the cons) and now 20 weeks and feeling fine. Second one booked for when I’m 25 weeks and I feel a bit better thinking baby will have some antibodies and getting it out of the way before the third trimester.

Mwilliams31 · 27/06/2021 22:52

@GoBrookeYourself thanks for coming back to me - assuming everything ok with you and baby? Xxx

Btw talk to your GP or midwife about it if you can. Not only possibly helpful in itself, but also, when I went for my jab they checked whether I had done! I had. Don't know what would have happened if I'd said no, maybe someone else might have had that experience?

I had mine at 30 and 33 weeks. I wasn’t called for it earlier unfortunately but I was able to get an appt for my second one very quickly by calling the vaccination centre. I wanted to make sure I had been vaccinated well ahead of my due date. Second jab was just under 2 weeks ago and no problems so far. @GummyBear91- might be worth giving your vaccination centre a call, they were able to bring mine forward

Flutterby8 · 27/06/2021 23:01

2nd trimester for me at 15 weeks. My 2nd vaccine wasnt due until September but Ive brought it forward to have it 8 weeks after the first when I will be 23 weeks.

Garman · 27/06/2021 23:11

No problems, no side effects, anomaly scan a few days after second dose and all fine.

Nalagrey · 27/06/2021 23:11

I has my first the week I conceived and waiting on my second, currently 9 weeks. I obviously didn’t know I was pregnant when I got it or I may have waited until the second trimester

Mwilliams31 · 27/06/2021 23:16

@Nalagrey I have already had my first one too - when are you going to wait to, second trimester?

@Soverymuchfruit @user1488622199 @Flutterby8 @Garman thanks for your comments ❤️ Xx

@Mwilliams31 I’ll still be going ahead and getting my second one when I get the date through, i should just be hitting the second trimester by then. I’ve read all about the pros and cons and feel the same as you, the pros definitely out weigh the cons

ArchbishopOfBanterbury · 27/06/2021 23:21

Both in 3rd, 4 weeks apart. I wasn't eligible till 28 weeks, because there's no priority, just age eligibility.

peanutbutterandfluff · 28/06/2021 05:37

I was called when I first found out and just after the guidance changed but have waited until the 2nd trimester. Having it this week at 14 weeks.

Irishpoppy · 28/06/2021 06:38

I got my first (Pfizer) during my second trimester. I am due my second right at the start of my third. Really glad I got it! My DP recently contracted covid - I tested negative and was completely fine! Must have got some immunity Smile - congratulations on your pregnancy!

LunaDreams · 28/06/2021 07:20

Had my 1st this weekend at 26 weeks so second trimester. 2nd lot is due in my 3rd trimester.

Could have had it in my first trimester but decided to wait until baby had grown a bit more for my own peace of mind- there doesn't seem to be any medical research or evidence to back this up btw, just my own preggo thinking. So far so good in terms of baby movements still nice and strong and I feel ok on the whole.

SouthwestSis · 28/06/2021 07:22

Had my first pfizer in my first trimester and will be getting my 2nd jab in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to get more protection and feel safer.

Candyflosscrochet · 28/06/2021 07:44

Morning
I had my first Pfizer at 32 wks as was waiting for the research and then age eligibility. Had my 2nd this past Saturday when I would have been 38+3, however baby had already come at 37wks!
No reaction to either jab (apart from the standard sore arm) and baby coming early was very unlikely to have been because of the vaccine.
He is perfectly healthy and strong and a good weight at 6lb 12oz born.

IndigoJam · 28/06/2021 07:49

1st at 11 weeks. No issues

sociallydistained · 28/06/2021 08:05

I had my third at unknowingly 3 weeks pregnant. Pfizer. I hope it’s okay. No date for the Second yet but I’ll have it.
