Thinking about ttc for a June baby. Even May would be acceptable. Don’t want any July-Oct birthday, ideally. I am well aware that nature can have other plans!

Did you try for a specific timing? Did it work out?

DC1 due end Oct, born end Aug.
DC2 due Feb, born Dec (just before Christmas)Confused

Both 'planned' for their due dates.

If you do inadvertently have a summer born baby you have the option to start them at CSA in reception if you feel they are not ready - I'm doing this with DC1.

Good luck with your timings!

@timeisnotaline

I tried for our first at 21, took 7 months. I’m in perfect health.

Now trying for our second (am 25 next week) - currently on the 6th month trying.

There’s about a 20% chance you’ll get pregnant each month. I would have liked to try and time out first baby, and initially we were but the longer time went on without getting prwgannt the less I want to stop trying for those few months.

Would have also liked to have timed this time but because I know how long it took the first time I’m not bothering. It’ll happen when it happens. Timing it will de difficult unless you’re extremely strict on the ‘this is the last month trying until X date’

Kind of! We knew we wanted to avoid a Dec/Jan baby, so thought we'd aim to start for a February at the earliest (thinking it would probably be a spring or summer baby). We fell straight away and I am due early February! Wasn't expecting to fall first try.

I came off the pill with the thought (and advice from others) that at my age (36) it would take AT LEAST a year to get pregnant and most probably a lot longer (going by some of the threads on here as well). I was hoping to time it for baby coming April/May 2022 as I would have been finished my last year at uni.

As it happens, I conceived way earlier than I expected and now my baby is due smack bang in the middle of my honours year and placement 🙈 apparently babies do what they want and come when they feel like it, they can’t be timed.

Yes got a June baby

Yes, with DD. Was hugely stressed about school performance and wanted a September baby. DD complied Grin. I'm now expecting her siblings and we're OK on dates again but there's two on the way instead of one. Best laid plans and all that...

Ha! Excellent. That is another fear with trying for 3- what if we get 4?! Congratulations!

No sadly for most ppl it doesn't work like that. We tried for 10 months first time. It was an April baby and aw the best time to have a baby.

My second only took 2/3 months of trying so I ended up with a winter baby was due Nov but came early so Nov birthday. I didn't like it. Was so hard doing night feeds and it being so dark outside and cold! I would have liked Feb-Apr maybe May not sure I'd handle the heat though.
