Hi everyone,

There’s a few separate threads with people due in January so I thought I’d try and bring us all together under one roof :)

Congratulations to everyone and sending lots of positive vibes for happy healthy pregnancies!

Congratulations all
I’m joining the club.. 4 weeks tomo just & due 13/14 Jan ❤️
Had early miscarriage in Jan so praying this one sticks. Bought a fresh set of cb digital to stalk the date change 🙈 will hold me out till an 8 week scan hopefully.

Ladypap · 05/05/2021 22:22

@Missingcoffee22 thank you for your sensible advice! I think I will carry it on, so far I’ve just kept on with the running but would love to do weights and banded exercises again. Will let my body guide me

LilmissCa · 05/05/2021 22:32

Has anyone recently got the covid vaccine? I got AstraZeneca on Sunday, didn’t know I was pregnant then but obvs now worried

Ladypap · 05/05/2021 22:40

@CharSweet thank you that’s helpful to know! I thought staying active was quite important but OH and my mum seem to think I need to be waited on for 9 months!!

newtoallthisx · 06/05/2021 03:51

@LilmissCa I think we’re about the same! Confused how the dates work out as my last period was 7th April but I know I ovulated 20th April so doctors date would be 4+1 but from ovulation would be 2+3 but from what I’ve read I def use the 4+1 dating? It’s all so new to me! I also booked an 8 weeks early detection scan as our midwife unit is self referred so can take a while to even have first appointment. Congratulations xxx

Hello, Id like to join! We found out just over a week ago. Due 8th Jan. We've been trying for years and had to resort to IVF. It's been long difficult and heartbreaking at times. I feel a little broken by the process if I'm honest but finally got the BFP and I'm hoping to start to heal. :-) I've completely avoided all pregnant women and pregnancy related programs websites etc as it was just too painful. So I feel like I don't know anything (!) I'm a bit scared to join just-in-case I'm tempting fate but I really want to enjoy every moment of this pregnancy as I know it will be my only one.

I'm already relieved to hear I'm not the only one who bought a dozen tests... I've been doing them just to watch that little line appear... and quietly smile to myself on the toilet... lols!!!

Howiesgirl · 06/05/2021 07:38

....but at least with IVF I know my exact conception date :-).... !!

LilmissCa · 06/05/2021 07:40

@newtoallthisx thanks!! Good to know I’m not the only one ❤️ My last period was 9th April so yeah think your 2 days ahead of me by doctors count. Altho I’ve been on 27 day cycles so dunno how they take that into account, will find out soon enough!
@Howiesgirl massive congrats!!! You have had a tough time but enjoy seeing the lines & the next stages to come ❤️

bages1977 · 06/05/2021 07:41

Anyone else think they're 5 weeks plus but still getting 2-3 on the CB digital weeks indicator tests? I could be a little behind what I think I am but I wish I hand rechecked now 🙈

Giraffe888 · 06/05/2021 07:45

@Ladypap mine has been after exercise too😂

I’m still exercising as normal and I did in my first pregnancy. Advise is usually you can continue as you normally would but if you’ve not exercised previously then not to start

You know your own body and just slow down or take it easy when you need to x

Missingcoffee22 · 06/05/2021 08:09

My toddler gave me a taste of newborn life last night but crying every hour for several hours 😴 she didn't actually want us to do anything though 🤔 anyway I'm tired, anyone else? 😂

Ralala · 06/05/2021 08:14

Hey ladies , I’m still exercising as normal. I run a few times a week and do a couple gym sessions concentrating on weights.

Ralala · 06/05/2021 08:17

ladies, I’m just wondering if anyone fancied a Facebook group? Totally private and only accessible if sent an email so can’t be found and won’t get randoms joining . Who aren’t from mumsnet. None of your fb friends would know you had joined. What do you think ? Xx

newtoallthisx · 06/05/2021 08:19

@Ralala I’d be up for that!

@bages1977 I think clear blue is from date of conception so you would average around 2 weeks on top of that by doctors calculations. Correct me if I’m wrong x

HforHavana · 06/05/2021 08:24

I had my first dose of AZ just as I was coming off my last period. I'm due my 2nd on 18th June but contemplating whether to get it or not. I think I would feel safer if it was Pfizer but with so much uncertainty around AZ it's a hard decision!
Lakedeal · 06/05/2021 08:24

Hi everyone

I've a little boy born in April last year and feeling a bit embarrassed to be pregnant again so soon, I'm Irish living in London so I can see all the jokes coming already.

Little bit fuzzy on the dates but my best guess is early January. My parents are visiting at the end of the month so we'll probably do an early scan before telling them then.

@ladypap with my little boy I did weights and light cardio at the gym right up until I was 36 weeks (when the pandemic stopped us). Honestly I was so glad I did, I felt so good in the third trimester. Trying to get back into the swing of it now but it's definitely harder. Given lockdown losing the baby weight hasn't really been a focus 😬

bages1977 · 06/05/2021 08:32

@newtoallthisx well I think I should be 3+ weeks from conception now plus the 2 weeks before so I was expecting to get my 3+ on the digital test. I'm hoping that my hcg is still rising but maybe just a little under CB threshold 🤞

HforHavana · 06/05/2021 08:32

Congratulations! Don't feel embarrassed, it's no one else's business! Everyone's situation is different. In regards to exercise, it's been so hard over lockdown hasn't it! I used to love gym classes as I don't have any self discipline if I go the gym alone, but I couldn't do home exercise either as we literally do not have any room at all for it. I'm literally the most unfit I have probably ever been which worries me quite a bit. I even struggle to get my steps in as I have an office job full time. Need to get my act together and quickly!!!
Missingcoffee22 · 06/05/2021 08:38

@Ralala definitely x

@Lakedeal don't be embarrassed! It'll be lovely to have the small age gap.

@Hforhavana I am exactly the same re steps. I've just started playing squash with my husband once a week to add to my couple of online classes... but we will see how long that lasts. Last time I had to stop about 20 weeks because I found high impact made my bladder so uncomfortable!

MrsFLongbottom · 06/05/2021 09:16

@Ralala sounds good!

@Missingcoffee22 I’m in the tired club today too- need matchsticks for my eye lids. Hope you get a better night tonight!

Really interesting seeing all the exercise chat, I’ve always been a bit nervous of weights during pregnancy but feel like I can carry on roughly as normal now Smile thanks

@lakedeal oh don’t let them ruin it for you, and don’t be embarrassed! Lots of people have babies close together- I would have had a smaller gap if I was braver/my little boy ever slept!

Missingcoffee22 · 06/05/2021 09:22

@MrsFLongbottom thanks! She's just full of cold I think and waking a bit snotty

LilmissCa · 06/05/2021 10:24

@Lakedeal do not be embarrassed!! The babies will have a great friendship when they are older being so close in age! And they will have a school year between them so not Irish twins lol (I’m also Irish)

@HforHavana how far along will you be on the 2nd dose? My 2nd will fall when I’m about 15 wks so being after the scan will help me settle hopefully. Like you if it was Pfizer I’d feel a lot better. I’ve read they offer Pfizer or moderna to pregnant so wasn’t even sure they will offer the 2nd AZ or if they can switch us 🤯

Tina8800 · 06/05/2021 10:45

Congratulations Ladies!
Can I join? I due 12/13 Jan.
I had a mc in November (8 weeks baby stopped around 5 weeks) and a chemical pregnancy in February.
I am extremely nervous, keep checking the line progression. Thankfully, the line came up at 11dpo and getting darker every day. Last time with my chemical the line did not progressed at all, and today at 15dpo the line is already stronger than it was with my first pregnancy (I did not find out till 20dpo).
I also have pregnancy symptoms since 11dpo, and I can not help touching my boobs in every 5 minutes to make sure they still sore.
I have a good feeling this little one will stick but I constantly worrying.
I booked an early scan for 8 weeks, hoping to see the heart beat (my previous pregnancy could not make it that far).

I know you ladies are all worrying too, but anyone has any advice how can I calm myself down?

HforHavana · 06/05/2021 11:02

Around 11 weeks I will be. I think what we know so far about the AZ, I will decline the 2nd dose. I personally don't think it is worth the risk as so much is still unknown.

Me and my partner have gone into panic mode as we are currently still living with his parents, so now need to save HARD for a deposit. Probably won't be going anywhere for the rest of the year then because of this so no need for the vaccine Grin

LSW82 · 06/05/2021 11:06

Congratulations @Tina8800, I am in a similar position in that I had a mc in Jan at around 6/7 weeks so I am happy but nervous this time around. I keep thinking I’m bleeding but then go to the toilet & nothing! Just trying to keep busy & not worry about it too much, at this starve there is nothing I can do but hope this time is different. Sending happy thoughts! ☺️
