What are you eating during pregnancy and what are you craving?

I seem to have unlocked an extra area of my stomach as I literally don't get full anymore. If you're pregnant, what have you eaten today and what have been your cravings during pregnancy?

Today:

Breakfast: avocado on rye toast with bacon, halloumi, grilled tomatoes and hash browns

Lunch: Moroccan aubergine, pepper and tomato with giant cous cous which had feta, tomatoes, herbs and courgette in it and a dollop of Greek yoghurt on the side

Dinner: roast pork, broccoli, runner beans, dauphinois and gravy and then half a pack of Lindt dark mint chocolate while watching tv. Also my portion control is slightly out of control.

First pregnancy I craved chocolate and cinnamon swirls, this one it's burgers!

Ps this is meant to be a light-hearted thread with other people who cannot stop thinking about food so no shaming please Smile

@3babylady

Ice cream with red sauce
Flaming hot monster munch.

The only thing I think about day and night is chips from the pier in Llandudno & Chocolate Eclairs from the bakery in Abergele.

If it wasn't for restrictions I could of gone by now.

My god those chips when I say I dream about eating them I'm not messing around I never really wanted anything with my eldest but I think it's worse this time because I truly can't satisfy this craving!

I live in Llandudno!! Had to comment!

Also have major aversions to most things I used to love and cannot stand any hot drinks, it was the first thing to go and I loved a big mug of tea throughout my days pre pregnancy!

I am so hungry I can't stop thinking about food! Funnily enough I have gone off all sweet things which is a blessing in disguise.

My whole diet has changed! Was so healthy to get pregnant (long time ttc) and had a super restrictive diet. I now have a major aversion to broccoli and most other green veg! Anything like stews are off the card and make me feel physically sick.

Just want beige food; honey on crumpet, baked potato with butter, beans on toast, chicken burger, chicken nuggets, ham sandwich, bacon sandwich, sausage rolls, cheese toasties - just stuff with a couple of ingredients

Think about Macdonalds every day but live about 30 mins away from the nearest one so have managed to resist the urge.

Also really craving jelly. I also was craving a Findus Crispy pancakes so have some of those in the freezer for when the mood takes me.

I am finding decaf tea, fizzy water and strong mints are helping with the sickness.

Finally starting to eat something other than beige food but still obsessed with ice lollies! Fruit pastille lollies and Tesco own-brand Soleros are amazing 😍

Missed out cereal - bran flakes and apricot or blueberry wheats with berries with almond milk - so yum

@rosied03 I did for the first 3 months, now (20 weeks tomorrow) I feel good, if a bit tired, but I now seem to have developed the taste buds of a seven year old.

Sausages and chips on the menu for tonight, meant to be with cabbage and peas but fighting the urge to sack them off for spaghetti hoops!

@rosied03 I did for most of first trimester and at 20 weeks now I still do a couple of days here and there.

My diet today has been shocking. Literally bread, biscuits and crunchy nut cornflakes. Gonna try and have a healthy dinner to make up for it but like a pp I just want kiddy beige food!

My beige food craving is slowly passing. Today all I wnated was crunchy apples and juicy satsumas and melon. Woohooo some vitamins at last!

@rosied03 I felt permanently hungover for the first 10/11 weeks or so, was awful. I found the travel sickness wristbands helped take the edge off a little bit

New best friend... a bowl of Nesquik cereal before bed 🤤 counting down to bedtime!!!

Yes... so much so.

We had scones today. I don't think I've had any "proper" food: it's all been homemade bread, scones, jam, cheese, cereal... some days I just can't handle it. But then yesterday I managed a massive veggie curry...!
