What are you eating during pregnancy and what are you craving?

I seem to have unlocked an extra area of my stomach as I literally don't get full anymore. If you're pregnant, what have you eaten today and what have been your cravings during pregnancy?

Today:

Breakfast: avocado on rye toast with bacon, halloumi, grilled tomatoes and hash browns

Lunch: Moroccan aubergine, pepper and tomato with giant cous cous which had feta, tomatoes, herbs and courgette in it and a dollop of Greek yoghurt on the side

Dinner: roast pork, broccoli, runner beans, dauphinois and gravy and then half a pack of Lindt dark mint chocolate while watching tv. Also my portion control is slightly out of control.

First pregnancy I craved chocolate and cinnamon swirls, this one it's burgers!

Ps this is meant to be a light-hearted thread with other people who cannot stop thinking about food so no shaming please Smile

I also can't get enough of the hash browns from McDonald's. DH is bereft as I normally don't like them and he eats mine 😂 not anymore sunshine! Xx

I'm trying to eat a breakfast from somewhere different in the world every day and it's really hard with morning sickness because I just want to eat cereal! However, getting over that now so better able to eat other stuff, but still only manage tiny portions and lots of snacking between meals. :/ Like last pregnancy I crave stuff like broccoli and cabbage, but last time I went off WATER and this time I haven't, but the smell of oil in the air makes me very ill so no frying. Last time I craved fruit. Not this time. Just want bread.

For breakfast today we went to Brunei, and had coconut rice with peanuts, garlic roast beetroot, peanut curried veg, boiled egg and cucumber.

I'm always peckish yet for some reason I haven't been able to eat big portions of actual cooked meals at mealtimes.

However I can eat endless amount of snacks it seems, the saltier the better when it comes to crisps nuts etc, plus anything chocolatey. I'm literally in the kitchen every half an hour wondering what to snack on next! Also a McDonald's cheeseburger is a MUST at least once a week 😂

Lots of veg that I used to love is off the menu as I can't stomach it such as broccoli, cooked carrots etc. Much prefer raw salads these days. Have also developed a strange addiction to green apples! At least that's healthy!

@3scompany I'm 20 weeks on Thursday! Scan is on Wednesday and we aren't finding out either 😊 We have a daughter and DH is terrified it's going to be a boy as he's 'only just figured out how to look after a girl' (she's 3!)

This baby loves a chip, specifically chips from the kebab van with piles of salad and sauce Grin
Also white bread and rice crispies are firm favourites.

I eat none of these things usually Grin

Continuing the pre grated cheese I have just had it melted onto chips and a round of bread and butter. I am behaving like I have a hangover

I'm 12 weeks and have aversions to meat, fish and vegetables. Opening the fridge is enough to set me off.

I've initially craved mozzarella (DH told me I'd gone too far when I had four packets in the shopping) and strawberries. Now am full on pickles, even drinking the juice.

Salty crisps and chip shop chips mentioned above sound amazing!

Ice cream with red sauce
Flaming hot monster munch.

The only thing I think about day and night is chips from the pier in Llandudno & Chocolate Eclairs from the bakery in Abergele.

If it wasn't for restrictions I could of gone by now.

My god those chips when I say I dream about eating them I'm not messing around I never really wanted anything with my eldest but I think it's worse this time because I truly can't satisfy this craving!

In my first trimester I lived on toast, smoothies and oven chips with gravy. Felt sick at the thought of most other foods. By the second trimester I craved bran flakes, apples and tangerines. I’m 35 weeks now and have never eaten so little or so well. I’m praying I can keep it up after he arrives because I’ve never really eaten fruit before now.

Ive weirdly gone off of hot drinks (usually be & coffee are bffs) and I only specificly want to drink chocolate nesquik 😂

Also Crunchies have become my new fave sweet treat, and prawn cocktail crisps my savoury!

I've started the day well with rye toast with peanut butter and a scraping of jam and orange juice but already all I can think about is chicken nuggets. Let's see whether will power or gluttony win at lunchtime!

@FTM91

Can you come and cook for me, OP?! sounds delicious 😄

For me it's cereal, never used to be bothered by it before (eggs or smoothie type of breakfast) but now I'll have it morning noon and night. Specifically M&S Nutty Crunch which is going to break the bank soon Blush

Cereal is my craving too atm! Specifically Coco Pops/Rice Krispies!!

I’m 12+3 and I’m just getting my appetite back and for the first time in two weeks I’m SO excited for dinner! Pie and mash

But I love snacking my goodness I love them salted crisps (the ones that are shaped like pasta) and pickled onions but I also spend a lot of time thinking about icecream and sorbet and melted chocolate

Also someone on this post mentioned oven chips with gravy and now I’m considering swapping my mash for chips and gravy YAS great post
