Anyone else about 4 weeks?

I'm very very early on, having found out last week. Desperately hoping this little bean sticks - the road to 12 weeks seems very, very long after my previous mc. Still not sure I really believe this is happening!

Just wondered if anyone else was about at the same point and wanted some company?

Anyone else still peeing on sticks for confirmation of progression? It seems crazy that after a positive test nothing happens before booking in

This is from Tuesday FMU and just now in the afternoon so I feel reassured by the stronger line Grin going to be a long wait till week 8 and then 12

@nellly yep, me. I really have a problem!! It's still barely showing on some of the cheapies I have, but it's clear on another brand and also on frers. (Have now started doing frers every other day instead of every day as it was getting rather expensive!!)

@littlelionroars the clear blue tests are amazing! Not having to think, is that a line or isn't it compared to yesterday sorted me right out.

What can you see, if much at 7 or 8 weeks on a scan? I didn't have one before 14 weeks with DD and by that point she looked like a proper baby.

strangerontheinternet · 22/01/2021 14:55

Hey can I join? I'm 4 + 1 got my BFP at 12dpo (I think) on Tuesday. I did 3 tests Tuesday morning all clearly positive. I got 1-2 weeks on the clear blue digital. I did another cb digital yesterday when I would have missed my period and still got 1-2... I thought it would have changed to 2-3 or 3+. I did a cheap easy at home strip this morning and I think it was a bit darker than tuesdays. When would be normal to get 2-3 or 3+ on the cb?

EmLouisexx · 22/01/2021 14:56

I am 5 weeks today! It will be my first baby, I am so excited but also terrified.
Is anyone else suffering from constipation? If so what is the best thing to take? Sorry to share that haha, its just so bad at the moment.

littlelionroars · 22/01/2021 15:30

@Pebbleinthesand You can't see all that much, just a little blob with (hopefully) a heart beat. But depending what week you go you may just see the sac.

It can confirm that your pregnancy is not ectopic though, that you haven't miscarried and things are progressing as they should.

littlelionroars · 22/01/2021 15:34

@EmLouisexx Haha, luckily I'm not having that issue right now, but I remember it from last time.

I used to just eat dates! And found they did sorted me out quite quickly.

treesall · 22/01/2021 15:45

Welcome @strangerontheinternet.

I am 4+4 / 4+5 today and still getting 1-2 weeks on CB. I am prepared that it may mean the pregnancy isn't progressing but I know these tests aren't that precise so I'm trying to hold on to some hope. I've spent ages reading about this today...

The hcg level for 1-2 weeks on CB is 10 and for 2-3 it's 153. Hcg doubles in 48 hours in a healthy pregnancy, so I'm working on the basis that if my hcg was just 10 when I got a positive test, there's still hope:

Day 1 (first CB test): 10
Day 3: 20
Day 5: 40
Day 6: 80
Day 8: 160 = 2-3 weeks
Day 10: 320

On day 1 I was 11dpo / 3+5. So although I should be 4+5 today, and therefore getting 2-3 weeks, I'm hoping that my levels just started low, and that if I hold off and test on Monday (day 10) it will be comfortably 2-3. If it's not then I'll know the pregnancy has failed.

Not sure if that's helpful or confusing but sharing my thoughts just in case!

@EmLouisexx that doesn't sound like much fun. Have you tried having a few prunes? That usually speeds things along!

OP posts:
Trying93 · 22/01/2021 15:46

@EmLouisexx not this time but my first pregnancy. As above poster said I found dates helped or prunes

treesall · 22/01/2021 15:46

Oh dear - I got the counting all wrong there - should have said say 1, 3, 5, 7,9,11 but hopefully you get the idea!

OP posts:
EmLouisexx · 22/01/2021 16:36

Thanks for the suggestions I will try Dates and Prunes! It really is not fun haha. I cannot wait to have a private scan done at 7/8 weeks, I'm really anxious at the moment that something could go wrong:(

Moominmiss · 22/01/2021 16:57

@nellly I am still testing daily. I got my bfp back on 11th January at 3+1. I’m now 4+5 and still can’t stop. Although I always have been a serial poas addict!

I should stop though, my tests literally can’t get any darker and steal dye from control lines so I don’t know why I carry on, they literally have no more possible progression 😂

The only thing I want to see is a 3+ on a digital and I’ll be happy and just maybe I’ll stop 😂🙈

GeorgiePorge · 22/01/2021 17:08

@Tresall

Me too! found out on Wednesday , so 4weeks tomorrow.
I'm also thinking 12weeks seems a long way away and keep saying to my partner "if it sticks...."

I'm desperate to talk about it, but we aren't telling F&F yet...so driving me mad!

First pregnancy so all very new. Has any one else had bad cramps so far ? Im fine today but yesterday was really bad at one point and had me quite worried...

huge congrats to everyone expecting! xx

GeorgiePorge · 22/01/2021 17:17

@BeeDavis

Congratulations! Same for me - first baby and first month of trying so pretty stunned. Having fun trying to work out all the jargon and abbreviations on here!

x

BeeDavis · 22/01/2021 18:01

@GeorgiePorge

Congratulations! It’s just a minefield to me at the moment 🤯🤯 and so hard to keep quiet about it all. It’s nice that we have this little secret for now but the next few weeks are going to drag! x

igloo92 · 22/01/2021 19:25

Hi guys, hope you don't mind me joining. Congratulations everyone! I'm 4 + 3 today and feeling very anxious. It would be our first baby and I had two back to back chemicals in Oct/Nov so I'm terrified the same is going to happen again 😔. The last two times I got a positive on the day my period was due and started getting heavy cramps and bleeding within 3 days. This time I tested the day before I was due (yesterday) and got a very strong positive on a FRER. It was much stronger than the previous two which gives me some hope but I'm getting intermittent cramps and worrying still. If I can make it to Monday I think I'll start to relax a bit!

Moominmiss · 22/01/2021 20:16

Im 19dpo, or 4+5 and just this evening got my 3+ on clearblue digital.

This is a huge milestone for me. With My last 3 losses I never got beyond 1-2 and only with my first miscarriage did I reach 3+ (then started spotting at 7+2, mc at 9.

So my next milestone is to get passed 7+2 🤞🏻

treesall · 23/01/2021 07:42

19dpo today and my test lines are lighter this mornjng. Given I was still at 1-2 weeks yesterday, sadly I think it's bad news for me. I am guessing I'll start bleeding soon.

Aozora13 · 23/01/2021 08:06

Hi to all the new joiners and congratulations!

@Moominmiss congrats on the 3+! You need nerves of steel for ttc. I wish I could just fast forward to the bit where I’m not on knicker watch and feeling like shit/panicking about not feeling like shit enough

Sorry @treesall, sending you a virtual hug and handhold, hoping for a positive outcome for you

nellly · 23/01/2021 10:58

Oh man, 4+ 1 today and boobs are agony!! The slightest touch feels like lightening lol. Its reassuring to have symptoms though.Grin

Moominmiss · 23/01/2021 14:06

@Aozora13 thank you, nerves of steel would be great right about now! Sadly mine are shot to pieces after a 16 month ttc rollercoaster 😂

I feel I’ll be on knickerwatch for the next 8 months. I literally dread going to the loo.

I just want to fast forward past all the scans and hopefully get the all ok and I might, just might try to enjoy this pregnancy a bit!

@treesall don’t lose hope, how much lighter are your lines today? When I had my chemicals my lines went significantly lighter.
Also was your urine concentrated enough?
I truly hope this isn’t the end for you. Have you had any pains or bleeding?

treesall · 23/01/2021 14:33

@Moominmiss thank you but the lines were a lot lighter today and I've just started bleeding, so sadly it's all over.

Wishing you all very happy and healthy pregnancies :-)

littlelionroars · 23/01/2021 14:45

@treesall I'm so sorry to hear that.

I really hope things will work out for you soon. X

Moominmiss · 23/01/2021 14:48

Oh @treesall I’m so so sorry to hear that.

Sending you lots of hugs. I hope to see you back here soon. Look after yourself xxx
