Ladies who have had 2nd baby, weight?

My son was born 8lb 9oz. Second time round now 24 weeks, im having a girl and alot of people have said about 2nd baby is usually bigger. Just wondering what weight your 2nd babies have been? Also thinking maybe cause its a girl she'll be smaller but I dont think it matters much! Defo dont want a big 9lb'er coming out 🙈 lol

First baby 9.3, second 8.8.

Girl - 40+11 - 6lb 9oz
Boy - 37+5 - 6lb 2oz

First baby 10lb. Second baby 8lb.

First - 8.8lb 2 weeks early
Second - 11lb 6 days late

Was the opposite for me. DD was first at 9lb 10oz. She had masses of think black hair too, it was like being handed a toddler.

DS much smaller at 6lb 14oz. I remember being really shocked and saying "I didn't know they started this small!"

DH had to go out and buy him new babygros as he was swimming in the 0-3 months I got - as I'd assumed he'd be like his sister and too big for Newborn ones.

1st was 7.5lbs at 36 +6. 2nd was 8.5lbs at 38 +0. I dread to think what they'd have been if I went full term!

My children were 8lb 8, 10lb 3oz, 8lb 3oz and 7lb 8oz. I'm 5'2 so my second son was a very big surprise!

5.11lb and 6.2lb

Girl 40+6 - 6 lbs, 4
Boy 39+1 - 7 lbs

All boys:
1st 8lb 4 oz. 40+3 weeks
2nd 9lb 2 oz. 37 weeks
3rd 7lb 9 oz 39+2 weeks

First baby - 9lbs 11 - 40 weeks
Second baby - 10lbs 6 - 39 weeks

First 6lb 7 at 36+5
Second 8lb 6 at 39+1
Pregnant with third and estimated weight on due date is about 8lb8 so all pretty similar

First two were boys, third is a girl which I thought might make her a bit smaller but it appears not!

My second was 1lb heavier than my first but it was an easier birth overall. Don’t worry too much about a bigger baby being harder to birth.

Baby 1 - 7lbs 6oz
Baby 2 - 7lbs 14oz

So 8oz+ difference. Good luck!

First 40+2 8lb12 boy
Second 40+4 7lb7 girl

First - 7lb5oz, boy born 3 days before due date
Second - 6lb9oz, girl born 5 days before due date

Was told both babies were around 99th centile when having growth scans etc - nowhere near!

First 41+6 and 9lb4oz
Second 41 exactly and 7lb 11oz!

My second was 'diagnosed' as large for gestational age too, so I got a lot of pressure to be induced/have a section. Thankfully I knew that late growth scans are notoriously inaccurate so delayed as much as I felt comfortable doing and I managed a VBAC.

1st 37+1 6lb 8oz
2nd 38+5 5lb 15oz

1 (42wks) 8lb11
2 (40+9) 8lb15
3 (42wks) 9lb10
4 (40wks) 9lb5

1,3 &4 were induced. 3 was the biggest but by far the quickest and easiest birth at 2hrs.

4 was induced due to potential size. I'm sure had he gone to 42wks he would have been 10lb5.

I've had three, all progressively bigger from 7lb to 9lb 10oz (!)

Biggest and last baby was the easiest, body did it all itself, I didn't have to actively push.

1st girl, 39+6wk 7lb 7oz
2nd boy, 40+5wk 10lb 12oz
3rd girl, 40+2wk 9lb 10oz
4&5 twin girls, 38wk 8lb 5oz & 8lb 11oz

Singletons were all natural births but twins breech so cesarean. If this one does well we are expecting another large one.

40+1 girl 8lb11
39+4 boy 8lb6
40+0 girl 8lb4

Currently cooking another boy and intrigued how number 4 turns out

First 6lb1 at 10 days late but she has medical issues that confer small stature
Second 7lb15 and number 3 is still cooking.

Sorry number 2 was 2 weeks late too.
