So I want to know from women who have had both girls and boys if the old wives tales are true about not having morning sickness with a boy??

Or what differences you did notice in your pregnancies between girl and boy ?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

No they’re not. My friends have had very different pregnancies and had the same sex, others have had similar pregnancies and had different sexes. My cousin had to be on bed rest from 8 weeks with severe morning sickness with her boy. Each pregnancy is different and there’s no way of knowing from symptoms which sex

20viona · 15/01/2021 15:33

I had a girl and absolutely no sickness or nausea.

CaramelCup · 15/01/2021 15:34

I’ve had all girls (3). Two I had awful morning sickness and one had none at all

PoppyBean · 15/01/2021 15:36

Oh this is definitely not true.. I had horrendous sickness with my first who was a boy! None with my second, who was also a boy.

OHolyTights · 15/01/2021 15:43

24hr 'morning' sickness for months including with boys here.

MummyDummyNow · 15/01/2021 15:45

Not true at all. I had terrible morning sickness with my first, a girl. Second pregnancy no sickness at all, again a girl.

Souperspooker · 15/01/2021 15:46

I craved sweet stuff first time - had a girl. Second time scotch eggs daily -i know- a boy.

Amusing coincidence only.

I love this sort of survey!

You a bit bored?

Chelyanne · 15/01/2021 15:49

No differences with ours.
I carry high with boys or girls. Had similar sickness (was worst with twin girls). I've never been one for weird cravings.

Pipandmum · 15/01/2021 15:50

No not true.

OneForTheRoadThen · 15/01/2021 15:53

I had really similar morning sickness with both of mine. Even started on the same day (7+1). I was convinced I was having another boy but my second was a girl. The sickness lasted longer with my second though - until 18 weeks instead of about 16 with my son.

TheFormidableMrsC · 15/01/2021 15:55

I've got one of each. No morning sickness with either of them. A pregnancy that I miscarried, however, well I've never been so sick in my life.

ChocOrange1 · 15/01/2021 15:57

Definitely not true.
My mum had hyperemesis with me (girl) and none st all when pregnant with my brother.

I had no sickness with either of my girls.

yulelogc · 15/01/2021 15:58

I have 2 boys and 2 girls, and am 36 weeks pregnant I don't know what sex this one is, but my girls my sickness was worse definitely. I preferred savoury foods over sweet when having a girl too. My skin is better when I have girls. With the boys I still got spots, but the girls I had great skin. Also my body hair... it hardly grew when pregnant with the boys, but seemed to more with the girls! Of course it's all coincidence I'm sure, I don't read too much into it... although I'm convinced I'm having a girl this time!

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 15/01/2021 15:58

I have one of each - no morning sickness with either!

TheGracefulwhale · 15/01/2021 16:01

Nope, I had horrendous sickness with ds and nothing at all with dd

allfurcoatnoknickers · 15/01/2021 16:02

AHAHAHAHAH HAHAH HAH HA. I had a boy and was throwing up day and night from week 7 to week 30.

Mimba1 · 15/01/2021 17:53

I am PG with a boy and had awful MS from 6 - 20 weeks. Can't comment on what it's like with a girl - maybe it would've been even worse!

Csari · 15/01/2021 18:03

I'd say not true. I've had two pregnancies, both boys and both very different. A little bit of sickness with ds1 and lots of sickness with this one.
Craved apple juice and sweet things with Ds1 and salty things with this one.

Youvegotafriendinme · 15/01/2021 18:48

When pregnant with my DS I had horrible nausea 24/7 (left me unable to eat) till about 16 weeks and even worse food and smell aversions till about 30 weeks. I’m currently 37w with a girl and I had such bad sickness and diarrhoea till 12 weeks I couldn’t keep anything down but I’ve been absolutely fine since

WhenTwoBecomeThree · 15/01/2021 19:10

When I was pregnant with DD, I had a grand total of 10 mins nausea! Although I did literally gain weight everywhere like they say you do with a girl, my relatives who both had a boy still looked skinny as a rake with a nice little bump. My hips got wider, my face was fatter, I had no figure what so ever, I just looked like a sack of spuds not jealous at all

DappledThings · 15/01/2021 21:34

@GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal

I have one of each - no morning sickness with either!
Ditto!
christmasathomeagain · 15/01/2021 22:06

I didn't really have sickness with either pregnancy. Both pregnancies were quite similar (except I had gestational diabetes with one and not the other).

anotherboyontheway · 15/01/2021 22:09

Pregnant with my second boy, didn't have any sickness with first pregnancy but suffered with awful sickness for first 15 weeks of my second! Xx

ThatBish600 · 15/01/2021 22:14

@Souperspooker well I'm pregnant at the moment I don't want to find out untill I give both but I am curious ! I've got mild sickness but bad nausea !! X

I had identical pregnancies and have a son and daughter. From morning sickness (constant) to how I carried them, everything was the same. So definitely not true in my case.
