Hey folks

Anyone else seen their ‘due date’ come and go recently and now found themselves in the weird limbo stage?!

I’m 40+5, and doing tons of spinning babies exercises, then lying back down for most of the day! Feeling pretty well all things considered.

My personal feelings are that I’ll go right to 42 weeks before accepting an induction, as I am a low risk pregnancy and had a good labour with DC1 at 41+1. I’m also going to refuse a sweep until at least another week.

So I’m trying to stay chill, listen to my hypnobirthing tracks and NOT watch the news!

If you’re in the same boat, give me a wave! 👋🏻

I am just sat on post natal ward, snuggling a little new DD who arrived at 3.45pm today :)

Managed to get the water birth I hoped for, wowwww it was intense but I breathed and breathed and breathed, drank ALL the gas and air and managed to avoid tearing.

Hoping to be discharged late tonight if things continue to go well

Yet again I find myself saying ‘thank you hypnobirthing’ I’m so glad I did my homework and it seemed to pay off :)

Wishing everyone else on this thread a positive labour experience soon - women are ruddy amazing!!! Flowers

Huge congratulations on the birth of your new daughter @Gerdticker! Your birth sounds wonderful xx

I've done hypnobirthing too, it helped a lot with my first birth and I'm hoping it will for this one too! Feeling a little disheartened today (even though I'm only 40+2) due to discomfort, hopefully I can sleep a bit tonight and tomorrow is a new day. Smile
