Has anyone got any crazy cravings? It’s just milk for me at the moment at 10 weeks. I’m downing it by the pint.

I'm craving pickled beetroot. I hear it's good for me so I don't mind. I'm 7w4d

NoahsArk17 · 24/10/2020 15:35

I had "phases" of craving things with both pregnancies but with DD the one constant craving was orange juice with bits and I'm 32 weeks with my DS and it's been pineapple juice. Every morning the first thing I do is have a massive glass of juice. I'm filled with irrational rage if there isn't any there (only happened twice across both pregnancies luckily, I even took my own pineapple juice to a hotel with me a few weeks ago!

Trauchled · 24/10/2020 15:40

With DC1 I craved ready salted square crisps.With DC2 I craved iceberg lettuce .

MichelleOR84 · 24/10/2020 15:42

I don’t really get cravings any more than usual but I do get bad food aversions!

I do tend to drink a lot more milk and fruit when pregnant though . I don’t know if I crave it but I gravitate towards it . I also gravitate towards cookies too 🙊

Almost 33 weeks now but in early pregnancy cravings were lots of dark green veg (especially broccoli). Citrus everything: pineapple juice, lemon dressing and marinade. Light proteins like fish and tofu.
The aversion was minced meat - bolognese, burgers you name it (and I'm usually a big meat eater and take my steaks rare - pre pregnancy obviously).

Csari · 24/10/2020 16:46

With my DS I craved apple juice. With this pregnancy it's been mostly salty things but nothing specific.

howmanyroads · 24/10/2020 17:01

Anything salty or spicy! Especially salt and vinegar McCoy's. And Jalapeños straight out the jar

orangejuicer · 24/10/2020 17:03

No cravings but less inclination to eat fresh fruit and veg and more towards meat/protein (and several Greggs steak bakes). Not the healthiest!

OHappyDay · 24/10/2020 17:06

When I was pregnant from about 10 weeks plus all I wanted was watermelon, orange juice, plain pasta with butter stired in, McDonald’s chicken nuggets and greggs sausage rolls Grin

RosettaR · 24/10/2020 17:27

I have craved salt, and sweet things. Sweet things is very broad, including chocolate and sweets but also tomatoes, oranges, bananas, plums etc. Not sure if this is z craving but I'm also finding I want a lot more water than normal (maybe there is a connection to the salt craving...)

mumonthehill · 24/10/2020 17:29

Ds 1 was cocktail cherries and I could not stand chocolate, ds2 was hot and spicy food.

LittleTiger007 · 24/10/2020 17:29

Interesting! I’ve had some aversions, I’m right off eggs, the texture turns my stomach.

Previous pregnancies I've craved really salty foods. This time round I seem to be craving healthy foods - veg, nuts and pulses, fish and lean meat and my aversions are to things like chocolate, cake, coffee, biscuits, fatty and rich foods. This is so unlike me but I'm hoping it's going to prevent me from getting fat this time round!

I've had these cravings/aversions from around 6 weeks, which is also when my morning sickness started.

Sansa87 · 24/10/2020 18:27

Orange juice, lemon fybrogel, r whites ice lollies, & fab ice lollies

I’ve gone off a lot of my favourite foods though. Absolutely gutted about the kebab I couldn’t eat last night 😭

iloveyoubutilovememore · 24/10/2020 19:16

Dairy, lots of milk & cheese. Salty crisps. Orange juice. Crumpets!

Willowkins · 24/10/2020 19:20

Craving for fruit aversion to chocolate - the complete opposite of when I wasn't pregnant.

MinnieJackson · 24/10/2020 20:10

Ds1 cornflakes with ice cold milk
Ds2 fishcakes and tartare sauce and capers
Ds3 wholemeal toast and strawberry jam
Ds4 scampi fries

CoalCraft · 24/10/2020 20:16

29+2 and feel like I'm missing out on the fun - no real cravings here, weird or otherwise. Sometimes I think "hmm, I quite fancy an ice cream" (or chocolate, or pizza, or...), but honestly that was true before pregnancy!

I have gone off tea... I don't know if it's an aversion really cause it's not like it seems gross now and I'm pretty sure I could drink it if someone made it for me, but I haven't felt any urge to have it for months.

Humpty11 · 24/10/2020 20:31

With my son I couldn’t get enough of iced orange juice, it just tasted so good. And I also craved the smell of bleach.. luckily never wanted to drink it but the smell of a bleached bathroom made my mouth water.

I’m now 7 weeks pregnant and have no cravings yet but plenty of food aversions 🤢.

peonyrose87 · 24/10/2020 20:57

In the first 12 weeks I wanted tango ice blasts, flamin hot monster munch and fizzy sweets.
22 weeks now and have been eating normally again since about 14 weeks with no cravings

penguin423 · 24/10/2020 20:58

Pineapple juice early on and plain pringles but I think that was more because they were one of the only things I could stomach!

Sansa87 · 24/10/2020 21:36

I spent all day slow cooking a beef stew. Was so excited. Went to eat it, & nope, don’t like it anymore.

My favourite part is usually the fatty bits of beef, but as soon I had a bit, that was it, couldn’t eat anymore.

swiftt · 24/10/2020 21:51

All the dairy. Cheese and chocolate milk, mostly. I’m lactose intolerant. Blush

I’ve also been craving a Five Guys since I found out I was pregnant. Finally caved and got one tonight. Asked for extra pickles. Got home, no pickles. Almost cried. Emailed them to let them know and they’re giving me a voucher for another meal on the house, with triple extra pickles next time!
