I have just started my maternity leave at 36+4, and I have SO MUCH to do! I haven't packed a hospital bag, all the baby's stuff is piled in a heap on the spare bed, the nursery furniture is currently dismantled and needs to be put together, car seat hasn't been installed... I could go on!

I was just wondering when others went into labour? I'm actually feeling pretty chilled as though I have plenty of time, but I may need a kick up the bum! In my head I'm not due for another 3 weeks, and I know he could be up to two weeks late... but I know that in reality he could probably come at any time from now onwards!

37 + 5. It was a bit of a shock as I was not going to start maternity leave until 38 weeks and I didn't have anything prepared.

Mmmmdanone · 05/09/2020 13:05

Both mine were 11 days early

Aragog · 05/09/2020 13:10

40+12, I was 24hours from being induced. Although I ended up having to have the drip anyway as labour didn't progress.

Chasingsquirrels · 05/09/2020 13:31

Late evening of 36+6 day, with both dc's (approx 22:00 and 23:40 respectively).
Dc1 born 00:36 the next morning and dc2 born 23:55 (ish) that evening.

alphabetti · 05/09/2020 13:35

39+4 then 38weeks. I’m planning on using annual leave from 34weeks with this one then starting maternity 38weeks.

Bingobongo1 · 05/09/2020 13:38

39+6 & 37.

Margo34 · 05/09/2020 13:39

Following with interest, currently 37w myself and feel like I'm in a similar state of disarray with baby stuff piled everywhere and nothing put together (and a broken washing machine now, too).

VEGAS2016 · 05/09/2020 13:58

DS threatened to come at 35 weeks (irritated utertus) had to be in hospital monitiored for 3 days. Managed to hold on until 38 weeks exactly!

MadamRosmerta · 05/09/2020 14:38

@Margo34 I'm pleased it's not just me! 🙈

My waters broke at midnight 38+5/6. I had my last day at work on 38+4, packed up my office and turned it in to a room and was due to start my maternity leave on 39 exactly.
I was robbed of my free time!
