When did you go into labour with second baby?

Classic question I know, I'm currently 36+4 with second baby. DD arrived at 40+3 but that was following a sweep 2 days before which immediately gave me my show. Not allowed a sweep until at least 41 weeks this time. Was sent for a growth scan this time few days ago and she's measuring just above the 10th centile estimating 5lb 8oz so on the smaller side. DS weighed 8lb 3. I know often second ones are bigger, though it is a girl this time which can often be smaller? Guess I'm wondering if maybe as she's looking smaller, perhaps I'll be later as she'll take more 'cooking'? 😂 Though I know the scans are often wrong. Interested to here your stories and keep me entertained at least!

41+3 for DC1 (3 sweeps, induction then c section)

The midwife told me at my 36 week appointment (DC2) my son was breech and because I was very overdue with my first, then I would probably always go late. I went into labour three days later. When I told my husband at 6am my waters had broke, he told me it wasn’t April Fools and to go back to bed.

My son was born six hours later.

Sorry my son was heavier than my daughter, 8lbs. My daughter was 7lbs 10oz.

My second was 41+3

DS was 40+4, induced as I had pre-eclampsia so all medically managed, forceps etc. He was 9lb 2oz.

DD was 40+2, I’d been allowed a sweep on my due date. 8lb. I got her out with the assistance of loud screaming, and some useless gas and air thankfully the PE hadn’t made a reappearance

1st 40+3 (same with you had sweep at 40+1 and went into labour that night but lasted 33 hrs).

2nd 38+5 (spontaneous Labour lasted 1hr 45mins).

First was 37+3 and second was 39+1

DS2 38+3 9lb 3

First 40+ 6 after two sweeps, second 40+ 2 after 1 sweep. Third 40+1, swept when I went in for checking after regular but not too hurty contractions, born an hour later.

41+1 with my first, I’d been on maternity leave for 5 weeks and almost lost the will to live I was so bored! This time I’m working until 38 weeks, and hopefully I won’t have to wait for weeks and weeks on end for a baby!

39+5 with my first, spontaneous labour he was 6lb

37+4 with my second, she was 5lb 8 and had stopped growing. I was given a sweep in preparation for induction, the sweep sent me into labour!

Also I worked until the day before with both! This deffo helped!
With my second I had planned to finish at 39+4 as I did with my first - but she had other ideas

DC1- 39+4 7lb 8
DC2- 40 + 3 but when she came it was at great speed! 8lb 12

DS1 was 39+6. 7lb. Induction and episiotomy.

DS2 was 41+ 5. 7lb 12. Had 5 sweeps in the 4 days before. Went in to be induced, instead midwife broke my waters and he flew out 2 hours later.

DD1 was 41+1. 7lb 9. Again another few sweeps and she came in 6 hours.

My SIL-to-be had 2 children both born at 39 weeks

DS was 42+1. Loooong induction ending in forceps and episiotomy.

DD came at 41+2, home birth following a sweep about 36 hours earlier.

DC1 39+2
DC2 40+2
DC3 39+2

DS2 is still always late for everything

DS1 born on his due date (but 36 hour labour with every intervention going). DD born day before hers (4 hours start to finish) DS2 born day after his due date (3 hr labour). Ds3 was two weeks early. I was convinced they were BH. Had one almighty contraction at 6pm. Got to hospital at 6.10. Baby born at 6.19

DC1 41+4
DC2 35+2, 24 hours after waters broke
DC3 33+4 after waters broke at 31+5

Not having any more!

DD1 37 weeks
DD2 tried but stopped at 36 born 37+3
I was told if baby has same mum and dad they follow a similar pattern
