(Semi light hearted thread but I'm actually serious). So everyone IRL that I bring this up with tells me I'm crazy and/or get very grossed out. But they can't say _why_ this is wrong. And mumsnet has never failed to be a safe space for me before <3 so here goes. My thoughts: 1. I don't like good meat to go to waste. 2. Although I'm not vegetarian, I do care about animal welfare and try and buy meat responsibly. This meat won't have harmed any animals. 3. I care about the environment and try and have vegan days (I know I could do more). This meat won't have travelled any miles at all, haha. 4. I'd make the pies just for myself, I wouldn't expect anyone else to eat them (esp as my DH and other loved ones have expressed total horror at the idea!) Similarly I'd, you know, prepare and wash up everything myself. I've already told my DH that if it really does upset him too much then I won't, but he says as long as he doesn't have to eat it I can do what I like haha. What do you mums think? Happy to be told I'm crazy, but why?? Shall I just wait and see what it looks like (appetising or not lol)? ...has anyone else done this...?
