I am 11 + 6 weeks and have just woken up and wiped and found blood.
I am shaking with fear.

No I didn't - they said we'll probably never know. I am on blood thinners but have no idea if that's related to it or not.

At my 12 week scan the pocket of blood had gone. I did then have some brown blood around when my period would be due - in April and I think May as well....nothing since then and I'm 30 weeks now x

Grumpy19 · 08/07/2020 10:53

I now have a scan this afternoon. It seems to have settled to brown blood when I wipe.

Brown blood is good as its old blood or its drying up. Let us know how your scan goes x

PocoyoandEllie · 08/07/2020 12:40

Glad they can see you today OP, the waiting is awful. Hope it goes well x

SparkyBlue · 08/07/2020 13:11

I had this at 11 weeks on one of my pregnancies and it never happened again and she is a healthy seven year old. No explanation as to why it happened. However I also did start bleeding at 10 weeks on my first pregnancy and unfortunately it wasn't good news. So really I have my fingers crossed for you. I totally understand how frightening this is. Best of luck today OP.

sel2223 · 08/07/2020 13:19

Absolutely everything crossed for you @Grumpy19 I know the upset and anxiety you're going through right now. ❤
What time is your scan? X

Sansa87 · 08/07/2020 15:20

Good luck @Grumpy19 I didn’t want to just read and run.

Grumpy19 · 08/07/2020 15:26

Hello all.
Back from my scan and everything is fine!
I am so relieved!
They don't know what has caused the bleeding and could see nothing untoward so have asked me to go back if it starts again and they will investigate further.
Baby was bouncing around with a strong heartbeat and is measuring 12weeks today.

Great news!!

Flippinfurloughed · 08/07/2020 16:34

So relived for you!

My Ds is 8 and I had bleeding (red / brown / small amounts / gushes) at what felt like very regular intervals through out my pregnancy. I had had a colposcopy and biopsy just before I became pregnant and so was extra wary as well. He was fine - he’s down stairs shrieking at the tv now. Hope all goes well tomorrow and you had such good news today Flowers

Prettylittlelady · 09/07/2020 05:53

@Grumpy19 just had to search for this thread to check how you got on - so pleased for you! Thanks for updating x

WhoUsedMyName · 09/07/2020 21:42

Have just read this thread. The exact same thing has happened to me today I am 13+4 I called antenatal who were really unhelpful, but I managed to get a private scan and everything seems fine but now I just can't shake the thought that somthing is wrong. Reading all of the comments has helped though. Glad your ok @Grumpy19 x

Melonslicexx · 09/07/2020 21:53

@Grumpy19

I went through this at 5, 9, 14 weeks with my son. Loads of bleeding. Fresh and brown. Everytime he was ok.

I think it's often a cervix thing. You may find when you have a poo you get some too. Glad everything is ok. It took me back reading your post. It's a scary experience. I told my partner is miscarried only to realise the next day I'd stopped bleeding. Went for a scan and saw the heartbeat x

Melonslicexx · 09/07/2020 21:54

@WhoUsedMyName antenatal basically said to me before 20 weeks nothing can be done. So I went private too. Disgusting how they can't do emergency NHS scans

WhoUsedMyName · 09/07/2020 21:56

@Melonslicexx I was on the phone couldn't hold my tears in anymore and she said to me well you need to put a pad on if you start gushing through pads go to a&e and that was that, no comfort nothing I was shocked I'm so lucky window time the womb were amazing the sonographer got me in on her break x

Melonslicexx · 09/07/2020 21:59

It's really cold and heartless isn't it. They could at least give you some warm advice.

What annoys me is the amount of people I've known to get pregnant and pretend they don't know how far they are so they get a scan at 7 weeks. Then when people need a scan for health reasons it's not an option!

Is window to the womb in Nottingham? I went to the Mothercare babybond for mine in Nottingham. Also a great service. X

WhoUsedMyName · 09/07/2020 22:03

It's disgusting so many people go to a&e in the night to be told they can't do anything because there isn't a sonographer it's so common there is no reason not to have one. I live in Hertfordshire but the only one that could get me in was Aylesbury but everyone down to the receptionist was so supportive and made me feel comforted x

Melonslicexx · 09/07/2020 22:08

The NHS is lacking in areas like this. Pregnancy, miscarriage, even loosing babies are all areas that need more support and money investing. You shouldn't have to pay £180 (I paid this) for reassurance. What if someone is having an ectopic. It just seems wrong
