Just curious what your worst pregnancy symptom was. Also, what trimester did you find the most difficult. Thanks. X

Arse javelin - late second and all third trimester.

MichelleOR84 · 05/07/2020 19:56

First trimester and the tiredness and sickness !!

nuggles · 05/07/2020 19:56

First trimester for all three pregnancies were my worst with morning sickness 24/7.

Heartburn was definitely my worst symptom though!

Teacaketotty · 05/07/2020 19:59

First trimester for sure - felt like I had a permanent hangover Sad

All the needing to pee through the night and pains of the third trimester were so manageable compared to that - also because people obviously know you are pregnant and not throwing up on the train for no reason...

Legallybleachblonde · 05/07/2020 19:59

I found the first difficult as I was constantly feeling sick (although was only sick once) and trying to hide it from work colleagues as I wanted to wait as long as possible until I told everyone. Then.. acid reflux in the third which was awful but soon cured by omeprazole. The birth stung a bit too 😆

TeddyBeans · 05/07/2020 20:00

Heartburn - I suffered from it before pregnancy but during pregnancy was just torture. Weirdly it's pretty much vanished since DS was born

Worst trimester was 3rd because I got so bloody impatient! 😂

Ristar · 05/07/2020 20:02

2nd! It's the one every one says is better, but I was anaemic and constantly short of breath.

Melbs6 · 05/07/2020 20:03

First trimester tiredness. Everyone told me it would get worse when I got to the third trimester but I’m currently 33 weeks and I feel absolutely fine compared to the first trimester

Summer41 · 05/07/2020 20:04

Heartburn and acid reflux, from three months until I gave birth.

Summer41 · 05/07/2020 20:06

The worst trimester was the first, it was a long wait until the 12 week scan and I had no symptoms, I was constantly questioning whether I was really pregnant.

OccasionalNachos · 05/07/2020 20:07

Constipation and the third trimester. The first six months were a breeze.

user1493413286 · 05/07/2020 20:07

The first - the sickness and tiredness and not being able to tell people at work so I couldn’t even catch much of a break and the anxiety was the worst in the first trimester. At least in the last trimester people were helpful and sympathetic and baby’s movements helped my anxiety.

TwinkleStars15 · 05/07/2020 20:09

Constipation - first and second trimester. Followed by heartburn/acid reflux.

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 05/07/2020 20:11

Brain fog, 3rd trimester. It got so bad that I couldn't concentrate, my performance went out the window, it got to the point that I was in tears to my manager because one of my colleagues told me I'd made a mistake with the times on a booking, something totally fixable because I told the customer right, just put it in the diary wrong. She literally just said in passing she'd changed it and it tipped me because I felt like I was letting everyone down.

A week later I went on annual leave and then started my maternity leave a month and a half before my due date.

sel2223 · 05/07/2020 20:18

The sickness and tiredness in the 1st trimester was absolutely horrendous but, my god, the 3rd trimester is even worse!

I'm 34+3 and the level of exhaustion is something else. I feel fat, uncomfortable and i'm constantly sweating. My hands and feet hurt, I've got cankles, the sickness and nausea is back, the heartburn is unbearable, I've got too many aches and pain to list, cramps, tightenings, diarrhoea, breathlessness.... you name it 🙈

LadyBrienne · 05/07/2020 20:22

I hated being pregnant - I wanted to love it - I wanted to "glow" and feel wonderful .... in reality ...

1st and 2nd trimester - all I wanted to do was sleep in between throwing up, everything made me want to vomit, all the "remedies" to vomiting (eg. ginger) made me want to vomit, smells made me want to vomit, vomiting made me want to vomit, all day, every day

3rd trimester all I wanted to do was sit down because everything ached and was swollen - I was told I looked like a giant teletubbie - my socks left indentations on my ankles and you could see the weave from the material embedded in my puffy skin - and I used to drink gaviscon/antacid directly out of the bottle to try to cope with the severe heartburn

I swam, I ate healthy foods, I walked, I rested .... all made no difference

Pregnancy and me did not agree

mynameisntlouise · 05/07/2020 20:22

I was really sick in my first pregnancy throughout first and second trimester, no one would listen to me about how bad it was but I was admitted through A&E for fluids at one point and was finally given medication around 14 weeks and it managed the sickness very well for the rest of my pregnancy, that was awful though.

Second pregnancy, I started taking my sickness medication early on which again, worked very well for me. This pregnancy I had a lot of dizziness and feeling faint and did faint completely around 8 weeks. The dizziness was all the way through pretty much but wasn't as bad in the middle as the start and end.

plixy · 05/07/2020 20:34

Nausea and sickness for the whole 9 months.
Breathlessness was also pretty bad in the last trimester.
And not really a symptom but baby was beech so I had a head in my ribs. By time she was full term I couldn't sit straight due to the pain, I had to kind of lean so the ribs were stretched away from her. Very uncomfortable.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 05/07/2020 20:38

First pregnancy - constant nausea in first trimester.

This pregnancy - constant exhaustion during first and half of second trimester.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 05/07/2020 20:42

All day nausea and hypersensitivity to smells, weeks 4 to 30ish, both pregnancies (girl then boy). It was slightly worse with the boy but that might have been because I was by then also caring for a 2 year old and had less time for rest.

MuchTooTired · 05/07/2020 20:44

Third trimester - I was way past the size of a normal pregnancy at 29 weeks (twins), couldn’t lie down, sleep, drive, or move really, and was the size of a house.

I developed severe pe and have no been so glad in my whole life (at the time) to be unwell as I got to deliver them earlier than planned at 36+5! They weighed 6lb 6oz and 7lb 3oz, and luckily were perfectly healthy.

lunar1 · 05/07/2020 20:46

Hyperemesis both pregnancies, from before a positive test right through to vomiting during labour!

3rd trimester in both pregnancies was the hardest by far. Terrible heartburn with both. With my first there was a summer heatwave and my lower legs swelled up horrifically, so uncomfortable. With my second I got terrible constipation and resulting piles, I was just thoroughly miserable towards the end!!

Wynston · 05/07/2020 20:55

I would say all 38weeks of it......i was sick for many many weeks
Oh the smells....
My ocd was of the scale throughout.
The last bit was just very uncomfortable there just wasn't enough room!
