Pregnancy test

My last period was 1st June. I am now 3/4 days late. Done a few tests negative. This morning, took my daughter to school, picked up cheap pregnancy tests from the corner shop, went home, peed on it (second maybe third pee of the day but I hadn't had a drink) I thought there was a very faint positive. I then noticed scratches on the screen so took the test apart and saw the faint positive clearer but then read you shouldn't take them apart. Waited an hour or so later till I needed a pee again, again not drinking, faint line came up straight away. Again very very faint though but it is visible. Came to work and picked up another test from a different store, peed on that one and it's negative. Dodgy tests? I don't know what to think. I've been feeling sick for 2 weeks ish. Stabbing pains in the very top of vagina/pelvic area. Also had slight niggly feelings in my right ovary. Any advice please

Hi Tiffy that’s made me feel better! I actually feel mental I’m doing my FR test tomorrow and praying it gives me a positive , I’ve never been late and all my tests have been negative! My boobs hurt I’ve started getting random heartburn the morning nauseous is awful and I cld sleep for England, literally feels like in the past week I’ve turned from relatively happy normal human to a Moany miserable bitch!!

Not sure if it helps but this time round my period was 6 days late before I even got a faint positive. I actually posted on here about it. Now 31 weeks so very much pregnant. Once I got the first faint test they got darker every day quite quickly.

Also, when I got the first faint test I used first morning urine and even though I needed to pee at 3am I held it in til 6am to make sure it was as concentrated as possible lol

So I'd deffo recommend testing first thing in morning at first.

@Ricekrispiecake I totally get it! It’s so frustrating, you’d rather know either way. I have a friends birthday bbq this weekend and am so panicked about the drinking situation. If I don’t, the girls will be onto me straight away😂 I’ll just keep testing I suppose, if no AF arrives in the meantime. You do sound like you have early symptoms though! Fingers crossed for you!! @TJ17 oh I must have missed that message. That’s great news! Congrats!! I hope all is going well. So odd isn’t it that the late testing positive isn’t more we’ll known, obviously it’s not as common but does happen. My GP said it like it was a thing everyone should know about! It’s definitely not on the pregnancy test packaging!! 99% accurate and all that 🤷🏻‍♀️

Well I moan about the lack of sex all the time lol but no he knows nothing about the rest of it. I've had to have a smear and been referred for scans because of irregular bleeding. He's not all that bothered.

Hello! First time writing on a group here, I’ve been stalking for a while😂 We’re 8 months in to TTC (on and off really, so maybe 4 months of actually trying at the right time) I’m currently 4 day’s late and all tests are negative. I did 2 yesterday 🙈 My period is normally like clock work and I always feel AF coming on a day or 2 before. I feel nothing! I called my GP and she said it’s actually quite normal for pregnancy tests to read negative in early pregnancy as the HCG hormone levels can be too low to detect. Apparently the egg can take 10 days to implant so that can happen right up to a couple of days before your expected period. She even said wait 10 days (!!) and try again for an accurate result, but I’ll prob test again tomorrow, not testing today! Thought that info from my GP might help some of you X

Thank you, I had some stomach cramps yesterday, but gone again now. Nothing. Svsdy morning for the last week I've woken up feeling sick. My dreams are weird too. I don't know, maybe it's in my head.

I did a test with my second wee of the morning and it came up a faint positive straight away, I've posted the pic on here but someone said it looks like a evap line. I did another test later on in the day and it was 💯 negative. I then wasted my money on an early detection test and took it midday and that was 💯 negative as well.

Yeah I'd deffo not bother testing any other time of the day at first, your best bet is first urine of the day (even the second will be less concentrated)

Good luck, I know how stressful a time it can be TTC! 😩

Also just to add, if the line appeared straight away then it's not an evap line, pretty sure they only appear after it's been left a while (that's why they say to dispose of the test and do not read the results if it's gone over the suggested time)

Morning ladies, done my FR test this morning and finally got a positive- this is after loads of negatives and being 9 days late! I’m currently sitting on my bathroom floor cos it’s cool and I’ve never felt sickness like this though I’m not actually being sick - anyone know how I can actually stop it?

Oh wow congratulations ❤️ as for the sickness, I have no idea, I've felt sick for the past couple of weeks on and off through out the day, starting from the morning. I didn't get sickness in my first two pregnancies so I'm sorry, but I don't know what to suggest xx

Do you mean he doesn't know your TTC? Or he just isn't that interested in the outcome?

Ha no he knows we're trying to concieve, he has the lowest sex drive I've ever come across. He's kind of like if it happens it happens but in the next breath he says he wants a baby, he'd be over the moon if I was, but won't put in the effort to sort it out if that makes sense. At best we have sex once a week. Really annoys me. I've had irregular bleeding since November, had to have a smear, examinations etc etc he doesn't seem too interested or bothered about any of that. He knows my period is late, but this happened in nivember and he convinced himself that I was pregnant but then period showed up a week late. I had to have blood tests and everything but they came back negative

@Ricekrispiecake that’s amazing News!!! Congrats!💕 Could you try sea sickness tablets for the nausea? Not sure if that would even work or if you can take them but could help. I know ginger ale is good too for helping with Nausea. I feel a bit crampy this morning, period crampy I think. It’s quite faint though. And at this point I don’t know what symptoms I’m making up in my head!! I was convinced I had morning sickness the other day!

Thanks ladies , I had convinced myself I was just mental and imagining things. I know it’s really frustrating not knowing but I’m glad someone told me to do the first response test I wld have bought all sorts. Feel love I spent a small fortune on clear blue digital tests

I read the first response ones are brilliant, I did one again this morning, negative. Think mines just a late period. I hope the sickness settles for you xx

I’ve ordered FR yesterday and arriving today. I’ll let you know how I get on.
This waiting game feels like it’s gone on weeks! And not 4/5 days

No just going to wait for my period now. I've had loads of negative tests since that faint positive

@Ricekrispiecake I think I’ll wait until the morning if I can hold out. I keep needing to use the loo though, not sure if that’s normal? Again I think my mind is just playing tricks

@TiffyT I think that’s normal - well it is for me at the moment god knows what it’s going to be like for the next 7 months I counted yesterday I needed the loo 12 times! I’m serious lot thinking of just moving into my bathroom I spend most of my time in there anyway! I done a Teams meeting from it yesterday when I was asked why I was in there I just said it’s the coolest place in the house !- I’m in London it poured down yesterday but they didn’t know that!!

@Ricekrispiecake too funny!!! I’m in London too. Thank god we’re working from home. I can’t imagine these waiting times / hormones on top of being in the office. Hopefully you’re not based in the bathroom too much longer.

Just when things couldn't get much worse, arguing with partner because sometimes hes the biggest idiot going, I've now had my smear test results back and I've tested positive for HPV
